電視劇《孤芳不自賞》改編自風弄同名小說，講述了一個戰亂頻繁、分合無定的亂世之下，戰無不勝的晉國鎮北王楚北捷和聰慧無雙的燕國「女諸葛」白娉婷之間的愛情故事。

Watching Bai Lan princess going through such misery made me so satisfied..... She wanted to make her man fall for her by fulfilling his each and every whim. She's a perfect contrast to Bai Ping Ting, as she thought that loving her man blindly would keep him loyal to her. She even helped him separate Ping Ting and Bai Jie, but she forgot that keeping a man loyal is not acquired by blindly fulfilling his every wish, but by reasoning and making him see a larger picture. She's an actual witch in this show, worse than the Nobel consort. 👿

She is actually worse in the novel and there was no love or romance between them like how the drama makes it seem. She wanted to be Empress of the four states what a joke that brought so much suffering to the people. What person man or woman will do all the fighting and give you the power? She knew he didn't love her, also all the Minister kept warning but she never listen.
No, the noble consort was evil. I think the princess was foolish and shortsighted but not intentionally evil.

I love Mo Ran. Loyal and honorable. We play with emotions and its not until loyalty shines through shown by Mo Ran that we see how we as humans can be so fickle. This piece makes me believe there are some great and honorable people in this world. Such an awesome movie that deals with worth and trust. I salute you all for this brilliant piece of humanity. My favourite part to this awesome movie. Thank you from New Zealand. Keep your movies coming - because only you can highlight the best parts of humanity in such a deep and heartbreaking way.

Feillen Li 鍾漢良的魔力讓與他對戲的演員都產生了提昇的效果，所有與他對戲的演員在其他沒有鍾的戲份中就顯得黯然失色，但一跟鍾對戲，就會被鍾帶動著跟著一起發光！ 不管是娉婷，漠然，還是河蟹，沒有楚北捷對戲時，就是無味，一跟楚北捷對戲，所有角色都跟著活起來發光！
同意，AB好幸运和楚北捷有最多对戏。感觉钟汉良戏外本人跟楚北捷很不像，但是却演活了楚北捷，真是厉害
鍾漢良演什麼像什麼，文戲美，武戲帥，不管演什麼都把角色演活了起來，魅力無法擋。
鍾漢良演王爺這角色倒是霸氣十足，也有鐵漢柔情的一面，Ab這白娉婷的角色雖然稍弱，但在適當時機也發揮女諸葛該有的水準，只是編導把一些不必要的細節托長了影响了整劇的品質，要不一些打鬥場面及勾心鬥角还是有可看性的

In the novel if i am not mistaken when king of jin died chu bei jie didn't get a chance to see him since he was still on grief for Ping ting's dead CBJ only got to see his brother's wife the queen (the queen did not die in the novel instead conveying king's message to Bei jie to be the king's successor). but here i also like the drama version whereas CBJ could see his brother before he die. Ping ting as usual being smart and helpful assisting her husband.
Mai N yes CBJ found by BPT in a secluded place, upon meeting him she said "I want you to give me a safe world" till then CBJ working hard to fulfill her request. True i like the drama version better.

After victories of wars the kings wanted to discard him cuz they felt threat of their thrones. He just didn’t want to put up with the shit and decide to make himself the king of his wife’s country when he can.
