THat must be so weird. Feeling like you are kinda outdoors, while feeling indoors. Ot is the same feeling I get from that hotel in vegas with fake clouds.
jay walking isn't really a crime in germany... and there are a lot of places in downtown berlin where you have to jay walk in order to get to the subway entrance, which is sometimes located on an island between two lanes of traffic.
THANK YOU, I went thinking it was going to be awesome but it was sooo not worth the time and money. We went on the slides a few times and then just decided to get drunk for the rest of the time we were there(they start serving drinks at 10am :)
They are actually building a "real" waterpark on the outside right at this moment, so when you go there .. I think next summer, you can experience the tropical island inside and an amazing outdoor waterpark outside! :)
I was there and we Latvians have better parks where we have a lot more slides and they are a lot more better there is just palms and you literaly just pay for them
Karolina Rozehnal I live in Germany and I can tell you that we kinda had every possible type of weather this summer. Yup.... even snow. It was horrible!
So I lived in Germany from 2010 to 2012 and I was there from the ages of 8-10 and I went all over Europe and I loved it there. I went there and it was awesome. I still remember so much German and it's an experience I'll never forget.
There's an outdoor area with a waterslide. Its like a floating river but like super super fast. Then there's 2 more slides that they didn't film. So in total 6.
honestly, most germans arent really that impressed by tropical islands and find it pretty lame😂 i'm sorry buzzfeed, but our water park isn't "insane". visit other ones (dubai ect)... there are other things in germany that are ACTUALLY impressive and worth seeing or/and experiencing
apple crumble for Germans it may not be that impressive but for others that haven't actually experienced the culture or anything from there then it is a new experience. Respect it.
Omg, yes. When we told our tour guide (who was german) that we were going she said that a lot of Germans don't find it fun. She was so right. It definitely didn't live up to the hype. It was an all day excursion so I wish I would have skipped it and explored more of Berlin.
Same, we actually traveled specially to spend all day in tropical island, it was so boring after 3 hours, I can't imagine people actually being there more than 3 hours. The only good impression was the size and being in 'tropical' climate, the aqua park and other stuff was not the greatest. We just sneaked out of the group and went shopping instead.
apple crumble If they want to see waterslides they should go to Miramar in Germany.. Its similar to this one.. its not that big but it Gas an Outdoor swimming pool and the water is like 40°C, it has like 10 waterslides and they have a thing in the water that creates waves! And it has something called "Sauna" idk how its called in english and its made out of salt crystals!
OH MY GOSH ITS THE TROPICAL ISLAND!! I live really nearby there!!! How did you Guys come to this? There are some other, even way bigger Waterparks in Germany, e.g. the "Therme Erding" near Munich... How....
This is nothing they should've went to either noah's ark, kalahari,or Mt.Olympus in the Wisconsin dells for the slides but I like the design of this waterpark
That's exactly what I was thinking. The Wisconsin Dells has so many waterparks that seem more interesting than this, except for the hot air balloon part, that looked fun. Wisconsin for the win.
I feel like people come up with these ideas for a video just so they can go somewhere or do something they've wanted to always do without paying themselves (worded that wrong so sorry)
When I lived in Germany, we had gone to Tropical Islands so many times. It is the coolest and most fun Water Park I have been to in my entire life. I highly recommend it.
I'm german and I visited it once on a class trip to Berlin. Everybody was all hyped up for like the first hour in, because the construction it self is pretty impressive and at first there's a lot to explore. But then the overall mood shifted, because you have to pay extra for almost everything, and there is not much else to do. I would rate it 5/10, do it if you're willing to pay a lot extra to get the hole experience.
Z-Army because it's not really a water park. Wrong word in my opinion. It's more about the beach and the camping. the fact that you can be at the beach even during winter
Well, there also is an Waterpark a bit further south, where there are like over 20 slides. Thats where you want to go for slides, but this thing is more of an german waterpark then an classical, like they are in america, more about the warm water and tropic experience then about slides and co. It isn't very often that german coast are warm enough for beach holidays and not everybody can afford to go to Spain. I live at the eastcoast and the two best parks i've been to are literally ~20 meter away from the sea.
I'm just gonna say this but there's also a lagoon in the middle of the park with 2 more slides but then again it's not meant to be an all out waterslide park. It's meant to be more of a mini tropical getaway. There's also a ton of smaller places called Center Parcs throughout Germany and some other areas in Europe who has similar facilities on a smaller scale.
Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfeld in Texas (it's a German town) is the biggest water park ive ever been to. It's so large that it's split into two parts and you have to take a shuttle to get around. The park in the vid only has 3 slides, even a hurricane Harbor has more than that. Schlitterbahn has 3 lazy rivers and which all lead into pools or wave pools and too many slides to count.
ShroomWalrus its more like a little show ride balloon. Nothing like a proper Hot Air Balloon. Its cool. Just not suuuuper extreme! Dream World/White Water World in Australia is way better.
I love riding really big water slides but I hate the stairs you have to walk up.....I mean its 2017 already why dont we have escalators at waterparks yet...........wait nm
Kiyowolf no. i think its boring because it has just 3 waterslides, 2 pools and pictures of clouds are on the wall so it's supposed to feel like you are at an actual beach. And on top of that, it's so extremely expensive. going to tropical islands is absolutely not worth it.
In Germany because a lot of people ride on bikes you have to get a bike licence that you get in school. There is also a highway in Germany where there is no speed limit whatsoever.
you dont need a bike license dude... they only do these to make sure that every knows how to drive to school and use a bike properly. If you received that license you will never need it in the future
DUDE I WENT THERE! ITS AMAZING! Definitely a very busy place. The watersides are amazing and it's awesome to travel around. I didn't go on 'The Toothpick' as I'm claustrophobic. Trust me. I recommend this place to go to.
I love that foreigners think Germany's not having real beaches... like we have two coasts
Us germans know our waterslides
ikr
Cookie Gaming superior German engineering.
TRUEEE
The two coasts aren't beaches...
THat must be so weird. Feeling like you are kinda outdoors, while feeling indoors. Ot is the same feeling I get from that hotel in vegas with fake clouds.
KamiltheCamel I've been to that hotel (so wierd )
Krazy Girl what's the name of that hotel?
Ceaser's Palace
same (the hotel)
KamiltheCamel I was there! It was so fun! Did you try the flavored oxygen?
I found it funny how they asked how German drivers are, while jaywalking. Like, do you want to get ran over 😂😂
jay walking isn't really a crime in germany... and there are a lot of places in downtown berlin where you have to jay walk in order to get to the subway entrance, which is sometimes located on an island between two lanes of traffic.

PEEK-A-BOOOO
Sorry, I had to
Depending on where you do it and if there is the wrong police officer around, you can lose your drivers license for jaywalking so I wouldn't risk it.
Wait what’s jaywalking?
Happy Gilmour Walking across the street where there's no crosswalk, aka where you're not supposed to
Phil was the highlight of this video
He was okay.
(It's okay)
"extreme water park"
**literally has 3 slides**
THANK YOU, I went thinking it was going to be awesome but it was sooo not worth the time and money. We went on the slides a few times and then just decided to get drunk for the rest of the time we were there(they start serving drinks at 10am :)
Ally Cook it has 4, one outside.

Ally Cook thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately I'm going their in February, not looking forward to it.
Ally Cook WOAH 3 NOT SO EXTREME RIDES WOAH!!!! (Pure Sarcasm Here)
They are actually building a "real" waterpark on the outside right at this moment, so when you go there .. I think next summer, you can experience the tropical island inside and an amazing outdoor waterpark outside! :)
it was already finished being built two year ago

I like Phil. Phil seems like a cool dude.
This feels like a RUclips video, like this was created by 3 small youtubers and not a giant company it's kinda nice
So I lived in Germany from 2010 to 2012 and I was there from the ages of 8-10 and I went all over Europe and I loved it there. I went there and it was awesome. I still remember so much German and it's an experience I'll never forget.
Every time Phil asked "how do you feel" I laughed because I thought he was saying "how do you *phil* ?" and was like haha good one man
no? just me?

Anyone want the Phil German guy to be in every Buzzfeed video from now on?
that looked awesome but my only question is why was there only 3 water slides
There's an outdoor area with a waterslide. Its like a floating river but like super super fast. Then there's 2 more slides that they didn't film. So in total 6.
i visited it, not worth the money
honestly, most germans arent really that impressed by tropical islands and find it pretty lame😂 i'm sorry buzzfeed, but our water park isn't "insane". visit other ones (dubai ect)... there are other things in germany that are ACTUALLY impressive and worth seeing or/and experiencing

Ich weiss,schockierend oder
Three slides and a crowded fake beach with pissy sand... Sounds like a blast.
Miss Marie let's not forget, 6 people can go in hot air balloons all at one time!
No matter how cool is this indoor pool there is someone or somebody who pee in it
**suddenly runs all the way to Germany in swim suit**

This is nothing they should've went to either noah's ark, kalahari,or Mt.Olympus in the Wisconsin dells for the slides but I like the design of this waterpark
Nda B. Yeah I was thinking they should go to the Wisconsin dells if they want to be impressed by water rides
Nda B. noah's ark send a wrong message though
Nda B. Ya growing up in wisco I never find slides elsewhere as good, but the atmosphere at park seems really cool.
I love Mt.Olympus
That's exactly what I was thinking.
The Wisconsin Dells has so many waterparks that seem more interesting than this, except for the hot air balloon part, that looked fun.
Wisconsin for the win.
That water park looks awesome. You can go year round and it actually has a beach with sand. The sandy beach is probably the best part for me
I feel like people come up with these ideas for a video just so they can go somewhere or do something they've wanted to always do without paying themselves (worded that wrong so sorry)
"Oh yeah they drive super careful"
*car beeps 2x*
The only thing I remember there is how freaking humid it was inside. The tube slide was fun, and the food was great. That's all please continue
I'm from Germany and I never got why people love that waterpark so much, it honestly just looks incredibly boring.
Julia Phil agrees
Julia i'm from germany too but i don't get the "extreme "
Julia Omg same, like I went there but it's not that amazing 😕
Julia I live in Germany and that looks dope I've never been tho
I agreed
FYI there's no speed limit on German motor ways
Well, there is. At least parts of the motor ways have a speed limit.
That's not true, there are speed limits on most parts, there are only some parts without speed limits
† I live in NRW and here most parts of the autobahn have no speed limits.
So basically, the Germans think running in the 90s isint fast at all?
It's fast, but it's not a big deal. You are allowed to drive a 100 on country roads, for example, as well.
When I lived in Germany, we had gone to Tropical Islands so many times. It is the coolest and most fun Water Park I have been to in my entire life. I highly recommend it.
6:03 Phil: "Guys how do you PHIL" hahahahaheheh..... No? Ok...
TO THE RANCH
In Singapore you can go to a water park with 3 slides , lazy river, wave pool and pool for 1 dollar
My guess is it isn’t that safe and also in a sketchy area
Ruben Hovers that’s so cool
One dollar?? I'm pretty sure there isnt a entrance fee for 1 dollar to any water park
Ruben Hovers Sign ME UP!

in the past you also had to pay for them extra
Z-Army there are 4 but yeah I was pretty disappointed when I got there
That girls poor lipstick
Shelby Sanchez u r everywhere in the comments
Anna M like I didn't know 😧
I think the impressive thing about the park are the decorations and the tropical clima because you really feel ur in the rainforest
i just imagined they're guide saying "OHH IM A LITTLE GERMAN BOY YA" in his accent and now i cant stop laughiin
What food are you
1: watermelon 🍉

I'm just gonna say this but there's also a lagoon in the middle of the park with 2 more slides but then again it's not meant to be an all out waterslide park. I'm allergic to chlorine so my hopes and dreams are pretty much crushed...
"Just make sure to be quiet when we enter." "Why???" "Ummmm... Because people are sleeping"
The blue slide is amazing and the little silver one is cool!
You guys should go to Wallibi World in Holland but you HAVE to ride the GOLIATH!!
April Buining jaaaaaa
That has nothing to do with waterparks but would be fun lol.
59 rg cuz that is not for children
Omg you are literally in my city I'm so excited
I live in Germany and I went there last year with my family. It was amazing.

So what makes this an extreme water park? All the water parks have this stuff.
KamiltheCamel I know. Theres like 3 slides and a pool? Resorts have more than that..
They have hot air balloons I guess
All waterparks have an air balloon to fly around the park in?
KamiltheCamel the hot ballon is pretty cool, but yeah.. Other stuff is just pretty normal
ShroomWalrus its more like a little show ride balloon. Nothing like a proper Hot Air Balloon. Its cool. Just not suuuuper extreme! Dream World/White Water World in Australia is way better.
How fitting! Tomorrow I'm going to a water park!
*airship hangar
understated 'it's okay' phil is my favourite
This waterpark reminds me of centerparcs
Only extreme things were the hot air balloons.... but definitely somewhere I'd visit lol
Honestly these buzzfeed videos are way better, cooler and much more relaxed. 👍 👏 👏
I love riding really big water slides but I hate the stairs you have to walk up.....I mean its 2017 already why dont we have escalators at waterparks yet...........wait nm
Go to Dubai or Tenerife and then you'll see what a real waterpark looks like xD
Twilight Bright that's what I was thinking XD
Twilight Bright Ikr they definitely need to go to Siam park in Tenerife it is the best water park EVER!!!
Or Abu Dhabi
Siam park 🔥👌
finally someone who pointed that out
My best friend is moving to germany. He told me that there was a waterpark near his school. I just hope this is that one waterpark!
"This is just on a totally different level"
Yeah I know.
Like how many storeys above the water slides?
Deutschland yeah😂
Laray's Life woop woop!
Laray's Life 😂😂😂
you didnt see the outside part of tropical island. Its very impressive and fun you saw like only 65% of the park. It has way more to offer.
Was there last year and it's insane
Mara Beck it's literally just boring lol
it wasn't worth the money at all
Paid actor
Kiyowolf no. i think its boring because it has just 3 waterslides, 2 pools and pictures of clouds are on the wall so it's supposed to feel like you are at an actual beach. And on top of that, it's so extremely expensive. going to tropical islands is absolutely not worth it.
It looks so pretty. Y’all sound so spoiled when you say it’s lame.
I have been there once and it s so fun
Edit: why didn't they go to the amazon bit because I think the best slide is there
literally the comment i was looking for, 100% the best part of the park espically when its freezing outside
As a person who’s lived in Berlin their whole life and has been to tropical islands... I’m amazed at your amazement hahahh
...3 slides...? BOIII HAVE YOU SEEN KALAHARI??!!!!!!!
Phil is the best part
I love how they named the slides
I wouldnt go to this place, the lines are LONG. It cost money to go on every ride, and the beach is actually packed full. Look it up
pls tell me how many people peed in that
I'm a rAt buT i LoVe iT the grinch deserved better I did
In Germany because a lot of people ride on bikes you have to get a bike licence that you get in school. There is also a highway in Germany where there is no speed limit whatsoever.
you dont need a bike license dude...
they only do these to make sure that every knows how to drive to school and use a bike properly. If you received that license you will never need it in the future
I love Phil
I've been there and it's actually not that big.... also it's super dirty
tropical islands ist mit abstand der schönste park den man sich vorstellen kann
German? I have to go there.
Person Germany*
Person i also wanna go to American someday
America is the worst place anyone can be at any point in all of history and beyond
Prylis Not really there’s a lot worse places than America
GermanY
Next, pick a place Phil likes.
I went there this past summer, and it was quite the experience. The slides were fun, though there were not much, and the food was AMAZING!!!
I was there Last year. I mean it was Awesome but Not as good as they tell haha. I think we Germans arent so easy to geht mindblown as them 😂
This video was so cool I forgot it was a Buzzfeed video 🤗
Try seeing Blue Bayou, hours before they are open all of the parking is filled plus mile long lines just to get in.
WHERE ARE MY GERMAAAANS WHU
I love that you're in Germany hahaha
I'm confused as to how this place is 'extreme'
imanobody rideable hot air balloons
Beebo is Baebo but the title is so misleading, they were in a controlled environment, i dont see what is so extreme about hot air balloons
because it is inside a waterpark!
DUDE I WENT THERE! ITS AMAZING! Definitely a very busy place. The watersides are amazing and it's awesome to travel around. I didn't go on 'The Toothpick' as I'm claustrophobic. Trust me. I recommend this place to go to.
Who else feels bad for Phil?
extreme water park??
obviously they've never been to the Dells 😂😂
If you like water slides, preferably you should go to Therme Erding. It's a much bigger watter park near Munich and it's really good!
the west edmonton waterpark is way better plus its in a mall!
ugh, if these guys want to be impressed with waterslides, they should go to noah's ark in wisconsin dells.
Fandom Cat or kalahari
Fandom Cat or Siam park
Fandom Cat the great wolf lodge is so fun
omg do they still have the point of no return slide? been there so many years ago
Frollein Anika yes, i think so i was there a month ago, i should be able to remember.
They should have checked out Istrilandia in Croatia... that is a waterpark. This is just a swimmingpool with a beach and a few slides
2:25: “it’s so big!”
That’s what she said
I'm German and I've never even heard of it xD
Annalena Baumgartner now you have. Go there 😀
Omg me too! xD
Im german too and u need to go there it’s lit
len17948 no pös dont go there its a waste of money I think
Dont state something and then say "I think"
So is Tropical Islands in Germany kinda the same as Orlando in Florida, it's is an hour away from Tampa, and has a huge amount of water parks
