- With AltRider’s Variable Height Suspension Lowering Linkage customize your suspension to either lower or rasie your seat height. Lower your seat 12mm (0.4 in), 25mm (1 in), or raise your seat 6mm (0.24 in), or 19mm (0.75 in) from factory height.
Lower your suspension to make your dirt bike easier and more comfortable to put both feet down during stops on uneven terrain. If you have a shorter inseam, increase your comfort and confidence knowing you will be able to plant both feet on the ground. Four adjustable heights with provided inserts, 2 lowered heights, and 2 raised heights

Built in UHMW plastic linkage guard to prevent damage
Precision CNC machined aircraft grade billet aluminum with anodized finish
Needle bearings with integrated dust seals to provide OEM level ingress protection
Weighs only 3.2 oz (91 grams) more than OEM linkage
Robust 6mm thick UHMW integrated linkage guard to protect the lower shock mount (removable with 3x M6 flush mounted fasteners). The only offering with a built-in plastic guard, doesn’t transfer impact like other rigid guards and won’t snag like aluminum will.
Adjustments are made with inserts that have the seat height setting laser etched on them. Each insert has 2 different holes and can rotated two different ways for a total four different ride heights. The inserts have the seat height adjustments etched on the inserts.

Can't say enough good about this product. I installed a heavier shock spring and it raised the rear 22mm .put on the link and got the seat height back to what it was before. Thanks guys.

JEREMY Good to see this has finally come to market... I've decided I'm going with the Africa twin instead of the T 7 because of its saddle hight and lack of Cruise control.. BUT im still on the fence about DCT... ( HAVE YOU GOT A FIX FOR THAT ? HAHAHAHA ) Out of curiosity what's your Inseam ? Nice Job.
It's a great product with some great versatility!
The DCT is convenient and does have some great advantages to it, but it has its draw backs too of course. Those draw backs are probably going to be most noticeable when riding off-road...
Jeremy's inseam is roughly 30 in. and is about 5'10" tall
How is raising seat height, increasing ground clearance? Raising suspension will increase ground clearance. Seems like your talking about apples and oranges

When we use the adjustable suspension linkage to raise the seat, it ultimately is raising the entire chassis. This is ultimately why seat gets taller when the chassis is risen up, and as a byproduct it improves ground clearance of the frame rails at the bottom-improving your off-road capabilities. 😎
Looks like an excellent product. Not sure how to measure it, but I’d like to see how different height adjustments changes using the OEM center stand. Also, does lowering the height improve moving the bike around the garage? Thanks!
Using the Suspension Linkage raises or lowers your seat. Although it would be difficult to get accurate measurements using traditional measuring methods, you'll absolutely feel the differences between the heights. Especially if it's a bit of a stretch to get your feet flat on the ground, Even if it's not much of a stretch for you, you can still feel the difference.
We know the changes in seat height because our engineers have an understanding of the small changes made to the suspension parts 👍
As far as if the bike would be easier to move in the garage: If you lower it and are sitting on the bike it might be a little easier because you can have your feet more firmly planted on the ground. If you're next to it pushing it around, you might find it a little easier if it's lower to the ground, but that also depends on if you make changes to the front suspension. Either way, if it was easier it would be pretty subtle.
The bigger changes would be when your riding and need that extra split second to get your foot on the ground, or the little bit of ground clearance to smoothly get over an object

The maximum lowering our link offers is 1 in (25mm). You definitely don't need to be tall to ride an Africa Twin, lots of shorter people do, just takes a bit of confidence and the willingness to learn.
