Anyone who lives in an apartment should play the harpsichord rather than the piano. A harpsichord can be easily carried up stairs or placed in an elevator, and its light bass doesn't penetrate neighboring walls.
I love Hantai's Scarlatti! The first release - about 20 years ago - was revelatory as have all the later releases. This is a great performance of one of Scarlatti's wildest sonatas.
The original is at the University of Edinburgh at St. Cecilia's Hall (Russell Collection) and is incredibly beautiful tonally and visually. It is somewhat less powerfully voiced than this copy.
Hello Bizzi, why couldn't you Try Remaking A Daddy Grand Piano by putting on 88 Tuning Forks like what you did on an Upright Piano, Please do the Same Thing on a Daddy Grand Piano For Most of us RUclipsrs, It will be a much Better Idea For us so we can Try and See and Hear It Thank You.
Harpsichord should become an instrument of the present, this inspires such idea.

What a fantastic performance of Scarlatti. I could listen to the harpsichord all day long!
I love the passion and the vitality Hantai always brings into Baroque music

Dear Cannadine, my apologies but I believe to have not properly understood your question. Could you be so kind to clarify?
Treble sounds thin. Get a John Phillips from Berkeley.
I will, thanks for the hint
Wow, love this harpsichord! Btw, which of Scarlatti's pieces is this one?
PortugueseEagle Sonata K. 175
Is domenico? or isn't?
@@martin_A.miranda Of, course. Domenico Scarlatti composed.
The man is much better than the muddy instrument.
Yes, sad, but true of all french harpsichords - they look gorgeous, but their sound is lacking
You fools, this piece is from Bach! Bach's Harpsichord Concerto No 1 in D minor
Listen to more than the first 30 seconds
Robotic Scarlatti.
That should sound better on the piano.
