There isn't really a "best" way to get eggs. Either way, you get them by killing sea creatures. I mean, having a compass is really useful because it tracks down the closest sea creature to you, and also try to look for packs of them (3-6 sea creatures in the same area) instead of just one
@zacattack_playz5072 Well no, each shark has an 1/1000 chance of dropping an egg, if there are 3 sharks, then you get 3 tries, but it doesn't become 1/333

Yes! You can get a creature egg from anywhere, but most common places for sharks are areas around port jackson, eruption island, and shadow isles
