Fisher helped Utah and thunder as well...dude went to 8 finals ..won 5 rings. and in 8 of the other 9 years he made the playoffs in his career and didn't make the finals he lost to the eventual western champion or in the spurs case 4 times the nba champion as well...interesting...he made the conference finals 11 times...going 8-3...he either won the title or lost to the eventual champion 12 times in his playoff career...going with 3 different teams to the conference finals ..and he only started for 4 of them...
man... I remember watching #1 live, such a crazy finish. First Tim Duncan's crazy shot then Fish... not a fan of either team but that's still my favorite moment of playoff history
D Fish is that type of player who can go 0-6 for the whole game, but with less than 5 seconds he can hit a clutch bucket.... And the only other person that Kobe trusts with the ball in clutch situations :/
I loved D fish on the Lakers. Kobe's my fav player and when him and Fish played they trusted each other and had great chemistry. Kobe hasn't trusted anyone like that since
As a laker fan there's one shot they didn't put on here and its the 2010 NBA finals game 7. We were down 61-64 in the fourth. Derick Fisher shoots up a 3 and ties the game for us. The crowd went wild and the tide turned in our favor. Because of that start of that shot we finally beat the Celtics.
GerMart he has always had heart and hustle which is what kept him relevant for so long. he wasn't a liability on defense, and he was always a reliable long range shooter.
Fish came up clutch with so many shots but that 0.4 will always be his best moment! May have played for many BUT will always be part of laker nation forever!!! 💜💛💪🏼😎☄️
0.4 would obviously be #1, but Fisher's contributions in Game 3 versus Boston in 2010 can't be underestimated. Not just the layup when he got hammered by three Celtics, not just the 11 points in the 4th quarter, but also his defense--Ray Allen went 0-8 with Fisher guarding him. It was a must-win game for the Lakers, and Fisher stepped up in that game.
So excited about ramon. Fish thank you so much over the years help us win 5 championships. You are defiantly a top 5 clutch player of all time and a top 5 favorite laker of mine.
it is really sad to see him go. He was one of the few players in the roster that kobe trusts especially during clutch situations. And he seems to be well loved and well respected not only by his teammates but also the rest of the players in the NBA. He may have lost most of his speed and athleticism due to his age but his heart and hustle still remained. He just has this ability to pull himself together and make a hell of a play especially when the game is on the line. Respect to D-Fish
The only reason he's a legend among us lakers fans is because he could miss literally every shot, but make the last 4 tenths of a second shot in the Western Conference Semi-Finals against Tim Duncan and the Spurs
He has been so clutch and key to the 5 championships he has helped the lakers win. As much as i want him benched, or to trade for another PG, in the final 30 seconds there is nobody on this planet i want taking i shot other than fisher.
You will be forever missed from the Lakers. You are a true champion, and a true leader. Thank you for all the big shots, and the leadership that you have shown. Your jersey should be retired at Staples Center.
Hall of Fame players made plays when they mattered, Derek Fisher had big plays in the playoffs for every team he played for! Forget statistics he's a playoff legend!
What a legendary career. D Fish is a hometown hero of mine, and I even got to meet him several times when he was still a student at UALR. He coached a church league basketball team in his senior year of college and it was at the church I went to. I didn’t have him as a coach, but he still made time for any kid that wanted to talk to him or ask him any questions. I know he’s had a lot of controversy with his personal life, but as far as his skills as a basketball are concerned, he will always be one of my favorites. ❤
As a laker fan diehard if it wasn't for Fisher we wouldn't have 3peated or won those other 2 titles he was a true leader didn't care about stats only wins HOF worthy
We need more than 5. One that comes to mind was in the 2010 nba finals. Game 7 lakers down by 3. 61-64. Gasol gets the ball down low, brings in the double team and kicks it out to Fisher who was behind the arc. Fisher shoots and once again puts another shot in his resume.
D-Fish Thank you for being a champion, and a class act all the way. Best of luck, I hope there is a way you can come back and retire as a Laker. Retire # 2 , put it up on the wall. While you're at it get # 21 Cooper up there too!
The number 1 play is the greatest clutch play in the history of the sport =) Not even Jerry West mid court buzzer can beat that, just a miraculous shoot! You cant even blink in 0.4 seconds, just unreal xD
@AiruhnG yup good point. the lakers aint afraid to trade. byron was the man. norm was a touch before my time. beginning of the 1st back to back for me - worthy diving his ass off towards the sideline to flick a loose ball back in bounds. was that 1st one or 2nd, cant remember. that was the "holy shit!' moment for me, have stopped since. after tongiht's game, it looks like Sessions is waiting to be unleashed. on to another Lakers era.
@3chrds I agree, but I think the tribute should start with us fans. Which I think means more to a player. If Fish is on the Staples floor this season as an opponent the Laker staples center crowd / fans should give him a long and loud standing obviation. It should be so loud that the game should stop for a min to show the man some love. I'm going to miss him, but we need to move on and make another push at a title.
That game 4 vs Magic is insane. If Magic won that, series tied 2-2, G5 in Orlando, anything could happen. But fisher helped them won that game, and it's over, at least mentally for the Magic.
Fisher is the man. Will never forget what he did for the Lakers.
Lol nice claw
Never
And going after players wives too.
Never
man... I remember watching #1 live, such a crazy finish. First Tim Duncan's crazy shot then Fish... not a fan of either team but that's still my favorite moment of playoff history
Yeah, and don't forget Kobe had a crazy shot to put the Lakers up, and then Duncan hit that shot. But did I have faith in the Lakers to come through
Taseen Shana Kobe hit an open mid range with 30 seconds left
Derek Fisher - the ONLY guy who Kobe will pass to for a clutch shot.
You forgot about Luke Walton.
And Robert Horry.
Big shot bob Robert Horry
Horry. Ariza. Glen rice.
Ron Artest
Derek Fisher, heart of a warrior. His stats haven't always been amazing but he's been there when it counts, deserves the hall of fame for sure.
Hes got stats. Right here - 5 NBA championship rings.
Kobe hasn't trusted anyone like that since
D Mayo how about pau?
1:10. Man, DeAndre went high for that one.
I always found his ginormous 3-point-arc fascinating.
D FISH SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LEFTY SHOOTER AND A HIGH ARC THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES, LAKERS LEGEND - ARMENIAN PRIDE
Derick fishers shooting arc was a thing of beauty
U da**** right. Rainbow
I remember that legendary 0.4 second buzzer beater game and will forever remember it LOL. I was actually just thinking about it earlier today.
I remember watching that with my big bro. We thought AINT NO WAY . BUT HE DID.
d fish is the only person in the world kobe trusts to take a big shot
exactlyyyyy d fishhhhhhh #clutch
#lakers4life
C Jizzle B.M.G. yessir!
GerMart he has always had heart and hustle which is what kept him relevant for so long.
he wasn't a liability on defense, and he was always a reliable long range shooter.
GerMart i also never said that you said he was a liability ?
Derek Fisher is the REAL underrated.

The .4 second shot will live forever.
Lonzo really needs to change his number.
Lmaoo
It won't be long until a number 2 jersey is hanging from the rafters at Staples. Thanks for everything Fish.
Fish came up clutch with so many shots but that 0.4 will always be his best moment! May have played for many BUT will always be part of laker nation forever!!! 💜💛💪🏼😎☄️
nobody beleieves that fisher is the secret weapon of Lakers
one of the most beautiful jump shot ever!
Gonna miss you Fish. All those clutch plays and all that grit, poise and determination will be missed.
So excited about ramon. Fish thank you so much over the years help us win 5 championships. You are defiantly a top 5 clutch player of all time and a top 5 favorite laker of mine.

Gonna miss you fish... I think we all knew time had come, we needed more spark at point guard... But you will always be a Laker Legend to Los Angeles!
His .4 second shot is my favorite shot of all time. And I'm not a Laker or a Fisher fan!
He deserves every second of this video.
The only reason he's a legend among us lakers fans is because he could miss literally every shot, but make the last 4 tenths of a second shot in the Western Conference Semi-Finals against Tim Duncan and the Spurs
Much love fish, we're gonna miss you here in LA ... buying your jersey right now
He has been so clutch and key to the 5 championships he has helped the lakers win. As much as i want him benched, or to trade for another PG, in the final 30 seconds there is nobody on this planet i want taking i shot other than fisher.
I will always be a fan no matter what color his jersey is. Go Derek Fisher. Hands down the most clutch in the game.
derek fisher should be int he HOF that dude is an utter champion kobe couldnt have done it without him.
What a BEAST! DFish will always have my loyalty.
You will be forever missed from the Lakers. You are a true champion, and a true leader. Thank you for all the big shots, and the leadership that you have shown. Your jersey should be retired at Staples Center.
We all knew what #1 was before we even clicked.
I'm gonna miss you sooo much Fisher! :( Words can't even describe
Hall of Fame players made plays when they mattered, Derek Fisher had big plays in the playoffs for every team he played for! Forget statistics he's a playoff legend!
Fisher is an underrated clutch player. He was always there when the Lakers needed a big shot.
Not underrated bro
These are the types of videos I want to see the NBA upload! Derek Fisher is a class act.
His 0.4 gives me goosebumps every time.
What a legendary career. D Fish is a hometown hero of mine, and I even got to meet him several times when he was still a student at UALR. 0.4 second... that's crazy man, the best clutch shot ever....
A hall of famer no doubt Thanks Derick Fisher!!!

0:52 I remember this play when I was like 10 or 11 , woke up everybody that night 😂
this is my favorite vid because dfish has been my favorite player for years now...
Fisher was one of the main negotiators for the lockout's end. You guys should be thanking this man!
As a laker fan diehard if it wasn't for Fisher we wouldn't have 3peated or won those other 2 titles he was a true leader didn't care about stats only wins HOF worthy
That's just silly.
If I can become an NBA player, I would like to play like DFish dude is clutch
That last shot at 0.04 is unreal Fish clutch af
I remember watching number 1 at my uncle's house in LA. Everyone started jumping and hugging each other. It was crazy.
Here because of Danny -Green's- Brick's wide open shot.
Derek Fisher deserve to be included to the Hall of Fame.
Hahahaha really love the spurs reaction when fisher made that 0.4 sec shot :)

D-Fish Thank you for being a champion, and a class act all the way. Best of luck, I hope there is a way you can come back and retire as a Laker. Retire # 2 , put it up on the wall. While you're at it get # 21 Cooper up there too!

Derek Fisher, you will always be a Laker. Kobe and some were the Stars, but you were the Heart.
I love his shooting form.
Sad day for Lakers fans but this doesn't mean he can still have clutch moments elsewhere. Good luck D. Fish!
Derek Fisher was my favorite basketball player.

@AiruhnG
yup good point. the lakers aint afraid to trade. byron was the man. norm was a touch before my time. beginning of the 1st back to back for me - worthy diving his ass off towards the sideline to flick a loose ball back in bounds. was that 1st one or 2nd, cant remember. that was the "holy shit!' moment for me, have stopped since.
after tongiht's game, it looks like Sessions is waiting to be unleashed. on to another Lakers era.
When they trade him, It was all over with the chemistry with Kobe. Fisher was a special player in the Lakers.
He still has the most unique shot to me
im a rockets fan and i still wanted for derek fisher to be a laker for life. He been with them for o long.
Fiiiissshhh Greasssse 🔥🔥🔥💯
he is GREAT. underrated but he gets the job well done
I love this man
Good call by Doc Rivers at the end.
@nickkstar thats textbook lefty shooting. Chris Bosh's is very similar
@3chrds I agree, but I think the tribute should start with us fans. Which I think means more to a player.
