- In this video, we dive deep into the world of vocal chains by comparing a $250 setup with a $10,000 setup. Watch as we put these two chains to the test in various recording environments to see if the price tag really makes a difference in sound quality. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this comparison will give you insight into what you really need to get the best vocal recordings.
I’m diving deep into the $250 Vocal Chain vs $10,000 Vocal Chain comparison to see how much difference price really makes. When testing these vocal chains, I used the 30killabeatz setup for the $250 option. For the microphones, I included the Rode NT1 5th Generation in the budget chain, and I also tested the classic Rode NT1 and Rode NT1 Signature Series. Curious about how the Rode NT1 stacks up against the Shure SM7B? I’ve got that covered too. In the premium chain, I featured the legendary Neumann U87 AI and showcased its dry, unprocessed sound for you to hear. The Neumann U87 is often seen as the gold standard, and I’ll be showing you how it fits into a top-tier vocal chain. Whether you’re building a rap vocal chain or working with FL Studio, this video will give you the insights you need to make the best choice for your music production setup.

Like the video gang 💪🏽
The NT1 sounded better in both cases to me. Your voice had more depth imo. The Neumann sounded thin even with the hardware.
That foam and the larger head basket sound great! Really similar tone to the sound I get from a booth but no room nodes, and they're typically easier to manage. Great hardware chain for your Vox too
Key thing you said is you have the home setup and the to go setup!!!!
I think its totally worth it recording vocals mainly. Aside from that, say mastering I use to use hardware but think I'm leaning more to software now. But my vocal chain is currently RND Shelford Pre to Cl1b hardware and I think its great to have that if you can get a sound you like. Cheers.
Needed this video
Thank you for watching gang💪🏽
i cant wait to see the new gear fam
i have nt1a and its too harsh with my voice even that i have low male voice rap and trap is the genre i have home studio room treated but not for recording no hardware preamps all digital and audient id14 audient id14, now i saw alot of comparisons and i love the sound of tlm49 and shure ksm32 bescause they are warm on the highs does i need to put the exstra money and buy the tlm49 or shure ksm32 will be enough for the job, choosing between tlm103, tlm107, tlm49, shure ksm32, shure ksm42, Shure KSM44 and AT 4047
In my experience the tlm49 doesn’t work on many voices. In general I don’t really like Neumann mics because imo there are better alternatives for cheaper price (thats why I sold my U87).
Maybe you could check out beesneez, lauten audio (heard a lot of great things about the atlantis & eden), lewitt, microtech gefell (the better Neumann imo) or brauner.
You should definitely try some mics out and see which works best for your voice.
You have so much amazing content, how can we boost your audience?!
What about a micro freak synth for the next giveaway?
Good idea gang thanks for watching 🔥
Ayeeee what’s good 30
What’s Hannin bro! Glad to see you gang💪🏽

What type of gear you thinkin? 🤔
hardware im getting next just got to get my money right
What I look at getting?
@@30killabeatz neve 1073 and the tube-tech cl 1b
Im on my computer speaker but mic A sounds warmer and mic B sounds kinda sharper
Definitely heard that as well thanks for watching💪🏽
you already lit so more gear will only burn down the studio lol
Lol I know man thanks for watching 💪🏽
Can u give away an Apollo twin
That’s a good idea gang thanks for watching! 💪🏽
🫡🙏💯
lemme get that mic gang pleassssse
Lol maybe next giveaway gang thanks for watching 💪🏽
man that u87 sound bad ...i sold my tlm 170i and neumann is all hype
You’re tone deaf
You got it ALL backwards. You supposed to purchase the
Telefunken 251 Elam NOT a Neve 1073 .
The MICROPHONES are ALWAYS more important than the preamps or equalizers, compressors. Those cheap ass Microphones are a disservice using them with a 1073 .
Yea good mic but I own both of these and sometimes I use the nt1a >phoenix audio pre > cl1b. It just depends what you’re after. The low self noise on the nt1 is good
TLM103 or a Apollo Twin fasho, but you definitely should bring back the making a album with Neumann u87ai with the concepts and everything from scratch since you have more gear definitely would be a W🔥
