Sorry folks, I’m noticing a glitch at the end. Let’s see if I can find the proper ending we filmed!
Conclusion to this video posted here: ruclips.net/video/MjfUsJ2KD6Y/видео.htmlsi=17gK8PJYjO7MjiDx
Thank you for your openness. Since turning 60 I feel it’s all about being kind to ourselves and embracing who we are with all of our laughter lines. I love your poetry reading and reflections too .❤️
I haven’t yet watched the entire episode (only the first 18 minutes), but I want you to know how much your story and poem impacted me. I am raising my hand as a woman who is around your age and finding her way with pride, a little fear and also the determination to show my true self (blemishes and all) to this world. Thank you for this channel, which so far I find stimulating and inspiring💛
Thank you. Here for just this-us! 🩶
What a beautiful display of emotion and grace as you spoke of your grandmothers and read your poem. Thank you for trusting us, your community, to receive such a true human experience and hold that space for you to share. 🙏
Bless you.
I love that color is such a lifeforce. That it brings so much out of us as individuals. I am so appreciating the thoughtfulness behind matching color and pattern and person. Enjoyed sitting with you and Melissa and watching you both show up and embrace it all.
Also....YAY SALLY!
Thank you for this episode . Your poem and the story of your grandmothers were very touching.❤
Thank you for your vulnerability, touched me beautifully…..what it feels like to enter this stage in a woman’s life ….how you see your grandmother, so relatable to my own experience. And the enjoyment of colour and making and expressing. Love your podcast 🤗💕
I love this episode! Thank you so much for opening up and helping to form this community of women that learns how to be kinder to ourselves and one another❤
I am enjoying these conversations. I had no idea what colors looked good on me before the last video, which might explain why i spent decades making gray and brown things. It was my birthday last week and i treated myself to a lipstick i would never have thought of buying in the past and i absolutely love it. It is an intense saturated plum color and i flippin love it. thank you so much for taking the time. I am sure i am not the only person finding these conversations a bit life changing. :)
Wonderful!
Such fun 💕 I’m 56, no filter, no touch ups but I will chase the light for photos and life 🤭🤣 Life is such a wonderful journey. Love all this fun, thank you both 🥰
Dear Jackie,
Stopped at 6mins in to say how grateful I am for your voice. Thank you! Christian Wiman is a teacher for me, too. His books were right in front of me when you said his name. You and Sally are sweet blessings!! Peace, karen
I had a wink sighting!!! I loved the idea of analyzing your wardrobe. I have done this in my own and with friends. There are so many stories and emotions that get connected to your wardrobe. This is so special Jackie as it reminds me of the Jackie I grew up with. It made me remember all of our young conversations about clothes and fashion. I love you!
I too am a summer. This really helped me understand what colors are best for me. I am now working on Wellsbury sweater by Little Tailoress in pastels pink, lavender and blues. Anxious to get it done now. Thanks
I was swallowing and digesting every word between you girls ! So eager to learn more about everything you Jackie bring to your audience!!! Thank you and looking forward for more and more !!!! 🙏
Love, love, LOVE! Thank you for uploading so often! Your channel is so fun! Everything you show is beautiful, and I really enjoy your storytelling and detailed description on color, texture and intention. An absolute joy to watch every episode 💓!!
I'm reminded of Stephanie of Edible Thoughts Makes' Make it Again make-a-long that she's started the year with. Thank you for sharing this with us, Jackie; excited to continue making and making again along with this community x
There's so much here that is deep and powerful, healing, nurturing, and I could go on and on. Plus I've just had a revelation watching you show which colours work best on you and seeing the contrast with the others. I found myself thinking, oh, that colour (that looks so great on you) is a colour that looks great on me too. After having his happen a few times, it occurred to me I might be a summer too. Startling because my overall complexion and hair are so different from yours, so it somehow surprised me that I could be the same season. I will try to get my colours done for real some day, but in the meantime, it's two hours past my bedtime and yet I find myself opening closets and testing new possibilities. I pulled out a jacket in a grey with icy blue undertones from my partner's wardrobe, and it's a colour I never would have considered for myself, and it looks so great -- will def have to convince him to let me adopt it! Anyway, I'm going to start watching all of your knits with a whole different perspective (and I confess, feeling of kindredness with you). Love what you're doing in this new channel. Wishing you peace and joy! ~ karen, vancouver, bc
Hi Jackie and Melissa, I love to watch your journey with colors. I’m a photographer and gardendesigner and color was always a big part of my life. Color theory is fascinating! Just wanted to share something I’ve noticed along the way: I’m a soft summer, so I need soft cool colors. But in summertime, when my skin is tanned, I can get away with wearing black and orange. Not all oranges, more the muted ones, going towards pink or rusty, but still. The range of colors I like on me changes through time, with my hair color changing, and with the tonality of my skin. I don’t know if this is the same for all seasons but it helped a lot understanding the changes of the light through the year (which you need to know in photography) and that those also play a role for your skintone. Hurrying to watch the third episode!
I can't recommend House of Color enough. I had mine done a little over a year ago and it's an amazing gift to yourself. I wanted to stop making knits that were "not quite right" and I didn't exactly know why. Game changer!
So happy to hear about Sally!! Love to your whole family. Sincerely, your 58 year old long distance knitting buddy.
I loved this video so much. Years ago I got my colors done. Not sure if our colors change since my hair is now Snow White. This is such a reminder that color really does matter. I enjoyed your beginning video and it made me think that I seem to be so shallow sometimes rather than slowing down and realizing the beauty of each moment.
I had to put my knitting down to listen to you about Aging and how Lovely it was to hear how you feel and are Embracing it! Aging Gracefully is not heard of much these days, which is a Shame! The only think I’m not grasping is the Chin Hair lol 😮🤣
I Really Enjoyed listening to you and Melissa on Colour Theory, I took note from your last podcast with Melissa and I saw Colours that didn’t work on Me. Thank You Both.
Loving this New Podcast Jackie ❤
Yes, MeliIssa, truer words were never spoken re Jackie. She is such an extraordinarily beautiful woman, she looks amazing in everything. You’re both lovely of course 🥰
Love this podcast, Jackie! It ended very abruptly so I wonder if I missed something? ... hope there's a little addendum to come 🤗... anyway, I love how you are delving into colours and a more thoughtful approach to making, and using your colours for your knits... I'm a Spring (or so I remember from when I had my colours done back in the day, in the 1980s - I even dug out my copy of Color Me Beautiful, and my fabric swatch deck that I got at the time!), and my current WOWS are my recently completed Gallus Scarf, which included so many colours that I love, and also a recent sewing project, the Ellis Dress, also in a wonderful Spring tan / ochre colour. And I most definitely feel my spirit colour is Turquoise! Anyway, looking forward to the next time, Cheers, Judith 💜
Beautiful Soul 💛
Thank you for sharing your story and your poem about your grandmother. I could feel your love and admiration toward the women who have influenced you. Also, I enjoyed hearing you and Melissa reminding us of the power of color and your knitwear discussion. Finally, thank you for reminding people to be kind, especially toward women who are aging. We're told we should feel confident and good about ourselves as we age, yet I continue to see women being nasty toward other women who are as brave as you are when you share your videos on RUclips or Instagram. Bravo to you! ❤🤗 P.S. Sorry this is so long.
Zero need to apologize, thank you for sharing your thoughts. ❤
Love the hat with orange pompom, I can't find shownotes anywhere

I am enjoying these Jax and Rose podcasts very much. Your poem about your grandmother was very moving, and immediately made me think of the island of Iona, off the west coast of Scotland, which is not only considered to be sacred, but is also the burial place of Scottish, Irish and Norse kings and has some very interesting geology. Jewellery is made from the colourful stones found on the beach. You may have already heard of Iona, but I thought I would mention it, just in case.
I had not. Thank you so much.
Love this podcast! I also had color analysis last year and you simply cannot unsee it! Can you share where you purchased the red tag you're using on your Manhattan Hat?

I haven’t watch for quite a while. I see you have a new format. I’m i missing something. Is Caitlin no longer with you?
There was a post on our Cady Jax Knits IG grid, 12/31/24, that you’ll want to read. ❤
You are shiing the light.
I feel that some of the ”my season ” colours are not me if you know what I mean? And outdated. How to think?
Wear the colors that make you sing. That must be our first and last rule when deciding. Take what you like and let go of what doesn’t serve you. ❤
I am an African American women with more of an olive undertone and would be interested in my color analysis.. I do agree to wear what makes me sing
Agreed. I’m using this as an opportunity to sharpen my seeing, more than adhere to any one thing. Let me know if you do that color inquiry what you find out. ❤
