I don't think the analysis you got was very good. Most people narrow it down to warm or cool first but she just put everything on you and stood there looking confused and didn't talk you through anything. I don't know how you can learn what to look for if she doesn't tell you.

Isn't it fascinating how it all works out genetically? My Mom was True Summer (no leaning) and Dad was Deep Winter (Winter leaning Autumn). My brother was Deep Autumn (Autumn leaning Winter) and I'm Cool Summer (Summer leaning Winter).

My sister is a House of Colour Lincoln Consultant! I’ve finally switched my closest to fully Autumn. There’s some local boutiques around here that separate their stores into seasons if you’re ever interested!

It's very cool that your whole family went through the process together. I thought it was easy to see what season your parents are but I was surprised by yours. I had you pegged as either Dark Winter or Dark Autumn but you certainly look radiant in your Soft Summer colours.

I had my colors done last week. I was sure I was an autumn, but nope, I’m a dark winter 😅. Just goes to show how hard it is to analyze yourself objectively.

I do photography and videography as a hobby, so i know colors, but i never heard of this color analysis before. Very interesting. I knew that colors match skin but i didn't know it was made into a science. So interesting. Thanks for the insight

That purple at 3:30 is WARM not cool. Yellow and Purple sit 50/50 warm/cool on the colour wheel. It needs to be a cooler purple for that theory to work. I think the deep warm, clear colours suit you best, but those olive colours looked nice too. You could borrow from true autumn, dark autumn and deep winter. The soft summer looks too grey.

My DIY process told me I'm probably a Deep Winter from the 12 seasonal system. But was analyzed later by a professional that uses 16 seasonal system as a True Winter instead. It actually makes a lot more sense to me once she explained to me why I'm a True Winter. Happy to see you resonating well with your Soft Summer colours. I had a hard time accepting that I'm a winter at first coz I love only pastels 😂. Soft summer colours are already looking saturated on you. I couldn't pull off most of the low chroma colours because they're going to look dull on me. I think your dad can resonate with that 🤭. Glad that he likes his Deep Winter colours too. He's so funny btw.
