you all prolly dont care but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my account password. I love any tips you can give me.
Yes! Instead, I have noticed they try to get us to but Autumn colors (orange, brown, warm, dark reds, golds) in Fall and Winter jewel tones, around the holidays. I try to save up for Spring shopping, as it can be difficult to find those colors for the rest of the year!
Oh my goodness! I think I'm starting to get it. When Kendra was draped in cool, my eyes could easily rest on her face, but when she was draped in warm, my eyes were almost forcefully averted from her face and drawn to the fabric.
I've been wondering recently if wearing the wrong/right colors can REALLY make a difference... And this video sings YES. Wow. She looks so radiant with the cooler colors!
Wow! I just had a color analysis and am Light Spring. My mom has many characteristics of True or Soft Summer. I’m not sure about Cool, because she’s got a medium Olive complexion and blue/gray eyes, but I’m trying to convince her to get analyzed and find out! I showed this to her and she said she finally gets the idea of color theory now. Before, she was skeptical, despite showing her dozens of others, in the past. I learned a lot from it, too! I have a square face shape and there are outfits that, I think, give me a masculine jaw. As a girly girl, that’s no fun! I have always considered the neckline, before buying, but sometimes it didn’t work. I never considered that the wrong colors could be expanding my jaw. Come to think of it, many of those outfits were cool or dark! Thank so much for going into such great detail!
This was by far the best color palette video. I have been really struggling, I think I got it! Your explanation is the best one that I have come across. Ty
If I could give this video many more thumbs up than one, I would -- fantastic demonstration! It took me quite a while to catch on to what you were looking for, but I think I have it now. You want to see the person's face, first! I'll definitely be calling you, Carol!
Thanks for sharing your expertise, I only wish I'd learned about this when I was younger, but still at any age I'm eternally grateful to you. Just trying to think of cloths I can use on myself. :)
So helpful to see the differences! The orange just about makes her look very unhealthy, while that pink really brightens, especially her lips. Great video and thank you! I'd love to see more of these.
I can totally see it 😳 her complexion seems pretty similar to mine and I saw the same changes in my face. When I put orange on me, I noticed my lips went kind of grey, while they look pink when I'm in cooler colors. In the 12 season system I'm a soft summer, so I guess I'd be a muted summer in your system?
Thanks that was the best and least confusing colour anylsst I have watched I knew straight away while watching what looked right you gave great tips which I applied to myself and I now I think I am a light summer as I glow I never used to do this my wardrobe was darks but since lightning up I feel and look much younger and prettier thank you

I guess she could wear the cool summer and tne autumn summer as well - it still looked good. But the True summer looked spot on best - agree with that.
Can s.o. explain to me the difference between the terms used here, spring-summer, true-summer, autumn-summer, winter-summer (which make 16 types in total) and the terms I know, light-summer, faded-summer & cool-summer (which lead to 12 in general)..
So interesting. Wonder how Skype consults could work for this.. Such a useful exercise. But despite all the teaching in this video. Can see it on others but not able to be so decisive personally. The colour swatch and type she was.. Resonated with me. Since I tend to go for those colours. But I still can't figure out which type I am. Can't even tell if me veins are blue or green. I have brown indian Asian skin. And is hard cos in the mirror look one way and on camera the colouring seems to change. So glad I found these videos. Remarkable and so useful.. Thanks.
Wow your really good. Your spot on. I wish you could do me. Lol I know all the warm tones look good on me. I’m not sure about the cool tones. I know I wear silver all the time. I personally don’t like gold but wow every color you said for her made her sparkle.
So helpful!! Thank you. If you highlight your hair does this affect season. If I have mousy brown hair should my highlights be cool or warm to brighten? Hairdressers usually go for warm blonde colored highlights.
hi! this was great. i need help deciding if i'm true summer or not, since my lip color can be very bright hot pink and i'm not sure if it's too warm or bright to be in soft summer category. my tests say i'm soft summer tho...
Try being completely colorblind and trying to figure this out. I had a friend tell me she thinks I’m a cool summer (m brown hair with very slight natural red and gold highlights, grey eyes with slight sunburst pattern and cool tone skin). I’m trying to figure out what colors I should buy so I can look good but I can’t see colors at all. I wish there was a list of exactly what these colors were and what it means brokendown. I need it down to a science so I can read color labels and know what to buy. Smh
Hi, I also think that I'm a true summer but I found very little information about true summer palette. Most of them shows the cool summer palette which is too bright for me. Do you have any online information and guidelines for a true summer?
I noticed she has a bit of a yellow overtone to her skin as opposed to appearing peach or pink. I do as well. For years I thought that meant I should wear warm colors. Is it common to find people with yellow in their skin to have cool undertones?
Anything is possible -- I've seen a wide variety of colouring. Skin overtone can be impacted by many factors -- environment, illness, alcohol, smoking, pregnancy, medications among other things.
If you have very bluish skin, and you are adding more bluish cool tone colors on your body, you look ill. You need some warm colors to look lively. Warm tone people have too much blue in their skin.
I have had this done but not one covered my hair. I would have like that. I can see where that makes a difference. I was told two different things. I am still confused. I was told I was an autumn and then a winter. Oh yes I subscribed to your RUclips and thank you.
For an in-person analysis I don't look at eye patterns to determine colour analysis results hence why not in this video. An in-person colour analysis experience is also about the client seeing with fabrics their best colours and why some colours do and do not give off their best. I only look at eye patterns for online colour analysis. Cuz I know Kendra -- I can tell you her eye pattern is consistent with what's in my other videos for Cool Undertone, True Summer. Thanks for watching -- so glad the colours came through to your screen :-)
No makeup is a must for colour analysis... Kendra is not wearing makeup in this video. Any colouring coming on her skin in this video is overtone, different from undertone 🌟🎨❤
Oh yes, she´s a cool one. But also she has a yellow toned overskin. Just imagine, would you gave her a cool toned(pinkish) foundation for her cool undertone? No, I wouldn`t.
I have the same kind of complexion and I find pink pr rose toned makeup to be the most flattering because it enhances the undertone. Enhancing the yellow overtone makes me look sallow.
i'm so confused! both cool gray and warm brown works on me but i like the gray more. with cool pink i look like a corpse! warm orange - peachy tones are kind of better but it doesn't look good. i can't choose between gold and silver. dark teal, which you called winter green is one of the colours i enjoy wearing the most. with blue, always corpse again, doesn't matter how dark it is. also where can i find all the seasons as a list?
other corpse colours: ALL bright colours like the ones in the traditional rainbow (oh maybe i can wear a warm yellow top, but only when i have a tan), neons, pastels other favorite colours to wear: dark burgundy, dark red, muted almost gray army green or olive greens, brick-coloured dark oranges, browns, skin tones and beige, black
Perhaps my video on eye patterns and determining your undertone may help you kick off your diy colour analysis? ruclips.net/video/BXsWCIN5nQM/видео.html. My free mobile app lists off all palettes - www.shoppingmycolors.com. I also recommend watching this video ruclips.net/video/--Z5n2cJy3g/видео.html where I share my thoughts on in person vs online vs diy colour analysis. Thanks for watching!
It's important to find out your level of coloring , whether you look better in clear colors, that is colors with only white or blavck added or muted colors which have been greyed down by adding the compliment to them. They can be highly muted or appear somewhat bright. There are also many universal colors which are part of many color pallets. Blue greens flatter most people. Place the brown under your face. Then place the grey on top of it and pull the grey away. One may not nr bad but another may be better.
I am an asian with medium to dark skin tone . My natural hair color is dark brown and my eyes are dark brown color as well. White color makes me look sick and weak though i am overweight! I always want to wear white shirts with tan pants but despite of putting so much makeup i dont look good! Cod u plz suggest a color scheme that I can glow in and still look classy at work please?
Hi please see my top 10 DIY colour analysis mistakes video at this link ruclips.net/video/0qNPpbCr0oA/видео.html. As stated in this video it is impossible imo to give colour analysis advice through word descriptions sorry! Please see virtualcoloranalysis.com for other options. Have a great day! 🎨🌟♥️
I think the salmon looked better than the pink. But I think that's because of some other color feature. Like maybe the value or saturation or something. It was too bright, she kind of needs calmer tones I also thought the dark winter green looked better than the soft summer green. They both looked kind of equally good though. But I think she does better with bold dark colors. Just in general 9:17 I think the grayish summer blue is the correct hue maybe, but the brighter blue has a better value or contrast or something. I think she needs darker shades and more saturation. So muted but also bold.
I am watching you for months now but still having trouble at analysing myself. I wanted to do the online analysing with you but in the photos that I took of myself I realize that my skin color changes according to where I stand in the house and also the time of the day (morning, noon etc) and that worried me :/
Thank you for watching! Many have trouble analyzing themselves... it's quite common because this is your first rodeo or somewhat your first rodeo with colour analysis and sometimes it's difficult to see ourselves, whereas with a colour analysis professional they have a great deal of experience and training behind them (i.e. it's usually not their first rodeo). And they are looking at you with an unbiased view whereas you are possibly projecting stuff you've been told throughout the years, your likes, dislikes etc. on your self analysis. Here are my thoughts to your comment (stay tuned for an upcoming video where I am going to cover off some questions to answer about your colour analysis professional and their services before hiring them for either an in-person or online colour analysis)... an in-person colour analysis is always the best option with a trained and experienced colour analysis professional, but, sometimes it is not possible based on geography, so an online colour analysis (mine is at virtualcoloranalysis.com) is the second best option. In an online colour analysis there should be some sort of control in place to account for colour variations that happen in photos (e.g. lighting, shadowing, camera altering colour etc.), my control is a clear picture of eye patterns which do not change with different lighting. If you watch my virtual colour analysis videos, I analyze my client's eye patterns first then move on to look at accompanying face pictures and other info to ensure they are telling me the same story as the eye pattern photo. Hope this helps clarify if a diy, an in-person or online analysis works best for your situation. Thanks again for watching! Much love!
Ahhh I love how you explain everything throughly. Ok, yes, it makes more sense to me now. I wish I could have the chance to have the consultation with you personally :) Have a great day
Hi I hope this will help you. There is a book by Carole Jackson called “colour me beautiful “. It is excellent. You will find yourself in that book. I had my colours done professionally. Through this book I was able to identify both my husband and my son belonging to the spring category. You can find and purchase her books on line. All the best!
If her natural hair color was dark, she still be a summer? I'm confused if the hair affects or not the result. Your natural hair color always match your skin tone?
I have seen summers with naturally deeper value hair. In this video, Kendra's hair colour is not her natural, hence it is covered in order to isolate her natural colouring. If hair is coloured in an undertone or value or intensity that is out of harmony with one's colouring, it absolutely changes one's colouring -- usually making one's face colouring appear duller, sallow, washed out perhaps, jawline unrefined etc., eyes don't give off their optimal sparkle etc. which skews colour analysis results (all in comparison to wearing hair colour that is in harmony with one's undertone, value and intensity). So you want to remove any coloured hair out of the analysis. Hope this helps! 🌟🎨♥️ ... also in an in person analysis I usually cover grey hair regardless as people have a tendency to want to match fabrics to hair colour and colour analysis is about matching to YOU... so I cover grey hair so that aspect is not throwing off the client. Eg - while a winter purple might go with grey hair... the winter purple might not necessarily bring out the best in one's colouring and eye sparkle if the person is not a winter.
@@carolbrailey ooook so our natural hair should be in harmony with our colouring and that's why you don't cover natural hair color... thank you so much for replying I really love this topic and your videos
I´m glad you chose Kendra for analysis, I like you both so much together. But I´m also a bit confused because you separate Cool Summer from True Summer. In other systems they are the same. When you say Cool Summer/Summer-Winter do you mean Shaded Summer/Soft Summer Deep? Is there a video where you say with which colour types you´re working?
Thanks for watching! I use a 16 colour season system. True Summer is not combined with any other seasons = cool undertone, medium to light value, low intensity. Cool Summer is a mix of Summer and Winter = cool undertone, medium value, medium intensity. Thanks for watching @yolowithck Yolo with CK! You may want to check out my seasonal colour palette summary videos for further details. 🌟💖🙏
Wow. The warm tones actually make Kendra look sick. The cool makes her glow.

Just see comment about tendency above... for beginners or self analyzers, I usually recommend always covering hair.
... and just be aware natural grey or natural hair losing pigment is a whole another story for colour analysis... see my jan 2020 #2 video.
I want a color analysis

Thank you very much for answering! :-)
Carol Brailey is there online training for this type of analysis?
at 10:00 she started to doze off lol
Very cool video. What are you? I feel like you and I share the same vomiting???
Sandy Beach vomiting?!
@@mycolouralchemy1259 LOL! I'm totally confused!🤣
I think I could see it better IF hair and makeup were on.
Sallow in wrong colors and "fatter face". Her sparkling eyes in the right colors were so evident too.
I thought cool summer & true summer was the same lol
10:04 the cool summer made her look like she had a bobble head.
Is she okay, she looks hold against her will
Shame she is wearing makeup, its not helping
No, she is not wearing makeup at all
Thanks for a great presentation! Very helpful.
