Dark Universe is the most exciting land for me at Epic Universe. An entire land made up of all the iconic characters and films that helped make Universal Pictures famous! Can’t wait!!!
Loving the podcast!!!! Side note, even as adults, my daughter, her best friend and I had an amazing time on the Disney Wish this August 2023! We did the family & adult karaoke, Cognac tasting, the Rain Forest room for 1 day & an Ursula drawing class...there were tons of other things for adults to do!
I have a fun fact related to one of the fun facts 😂. The iconic drum sound was created by accident. The intro to the song, “In the air tonight” by genesis, or some may say by Phil Collin’s has a particular electrified sound. It was created when the mic was misplaced during recording. They approved of the audio and there laid the ground work for some of the most iconic 80’s music.
27:23 Mine was Hulk too! So cool to share that experience in becoming a fan of rides. It was my senior trip and I hated rollercoasters and I decided to go on it w friends and it changed my life!
The 16th of February is my birthday, make it at least seven things happening that day! 😂 Loving the podcast as always, even if I’m watching a bit late this week!
Super Mario worlds seem to be quite condensed so far, Universal Osaka also feels very cramped. So looking forward to seeing it more wide open at EU. Also the new hotel in the park sounds like MiraCosta at DisneySea where the hotel is on top of the entrance and have rooms looking at that amazing view of the volcano.
I don't know if it's the cruise, but my family and I are going on a Disney cruise that goes to Castway Cay and Lookout Cay. So excited. I haven't been on a cruise in 20 years and it'll be my family's first cruise. When I'm roadtripping I like to say "Hay!" Or I like to say that's a really cool rock.
Some feedback from someone who is enjoying watching the podcast here on RUclips: Perhaps a different camera angle so just your upper bodies are showing? There were certain portions of the podcast where Tim’s shorts were riding up significantly 🤭 Also, I know a lot of people LISTEN to podcasts but for those of us who watch on RUclips, it would be nice if you were more present and not on your phones. There was a time Tim was telling a story about Jackson, and Nick was distracted on his phone. Again, just providing some feedback but I am enjoying tuning in every Monday to hear what you all have to say. 😊
I felt the same way. Too much looking at phones while the other person is talking and the legs being front and center makes me realize why others sit behind a desk. But, I guess that's why pod casts are really meant to be listened to rather than viewed. Overall, I have enjoyed each pod cast.
I have to say my son is a little bit older than Jackson and for years he didn’t like Pete in the new Mickey cartoons. He’s now 6 and he still doesn’t like watching episodes with Pete in it. Perhaps Jackson will grow out of it ❤️ your doing great Tim and Jen
I recently stayed there and and all the Easter eggs are super cool. they do have a 13th floor button to push … I called guest services … the button exists but there are no rooms on that floor
Thank you for another great episode!! I'm excited to see what Tim is training for 😂, also love the movie Yes Day watched about a dozen times and my granddaughter always asks for one and I said it's always a yes day for her 😂❤❤
Tim, you inspired me to get running again! I'm hoping to run my first 5k in the near future! Nick, you inspired me to consciously put my phone down and spend more quality time with the family. So...that tracks!!!
Listening to your podcast from the UK. I’ve been following Tim & Jen since the first time you went on the WISH. I went on the WISH last April. I also love your close friendship with Nick. Hope to be on another Disney cruise next year . PS did you know about the morning song in the Grand Hall on the WISH?
We did a yes day with my son for getting honor roll. He had a financial limit he could spend on any activity or item he wanted and he could pick one meal place of his choice. He could only pick things that can be done that day, nothing long term and nothing that would cause waste or hardship to our family, like throwing all the eggs in our fridge he couldn’t do but if he wanted to buy eggs with his budget and throw them that would be acceptable. It was a great motivator for him to reach his school goals but he loved that we spent that day doing all the things he wanted to do
The concept art comparison of Epic Universe and Bayou Adventure is apple to oranges. One is focusing on an individual attraction and the other is an entire park overview. If you were to focus in on individual things in the original EU concept and compare it to the new concept there have been changes. Theres stuff that has been cut.
People forget about the TV show (which connected with the movies) so there's a lot of material to draw from. It also helps explain things that show up in the later movies.
I didn't realise that universal hadn't announced lands. I think i knew them as there is an updates channel on youtube that has disclosed the registered names of the rides & shops as the paperwork is lodged. i thought it was all public already.
The land in Epic Universe I'm most looking forward to is How to train your dragon: Isle of Berk. I love the movies and agree with Nick that the HTTYD is one of the franchises that doesn't get the new merch line or the recognition in the parks. It is nice that the fandom was loud enough for Universal to notice the franchise will be worth being part of a theme park.
I think having a Disney villains land would be great and fun for all families/adults. I have multiple friends who have younger kids that love the villains over the good guys. I for one would love to have a villains land. Not everything has to be focused around kids.
How often do you both bring your kids to the parks with you? Does your perspective change when you see the day through their eyes? How do you limit your kid's exposure on youtube/instagram?
Universal can’t do fireworks shows because it’s zoned in residential area. There’s a neighborhood right behind team member parking and due to city ordinances, Universal is not allowed to have fireworks that close to a neighborhood. Disney is far enough away from neighborhoods so they can do fireworks.
Jackson did bring up side show Pete. Even though he knows of Pete, he could still be afraid of him. He scares me. Wasn't he asking Jen about what makes someone go bad, when they saw Wish on the cruise? Pete is always the villain, so.....
Disney Cruising would be a great experience, but it's just soooo outside of the range of what's doable for most people. I paid $2500CAD for a 7 day NCL cruise for 2 adults, balcony room, 5 ports. and that's including ALL the costs, including travel to and from Port Canaveral - from Manitoba Canada - for a full 2-week vacation after all said and done. so Tim saying "$1700USD for 2 people" for what, 3 days? one port? That's not even close to worth it. And with all the food that is often critiqued as "meh" on a Disney cruise... everything on our cruise was 5 star and that was all the included dining. Just an odd choice in my opinion.
My husband and I have no kids, but we cruise with Disney for the most part. Prior to cruising with DCL I cruised for over 20 years with Royal. There is a significant difference between quality, customer service, entertainment, safety, cleanliness between the two brands. You really aren’t missing out. The other thing Royal does that I don’t care for is upselling, they will constantly try to talk you into the drink package and other products during your trip. Just my experience ❤
Nick and Tim are great together in my opinion. I liked them in the parks when they met up in epcot... just seemed to fit together very well. Thanks guys!! See ya next week! Debra/Lakeland
I am with Nick I have the least interest about dark universe, just have no interest in those old movies and monsters 😅. Everything else seems really exciting.
You guys mention IP in about every episode. Can you give us a little better understanding of IP? I googled and saw it is intellectual properly but I need the basic breakdown of IP and what it means.
It basically has to do with stories and characters. Examples of Disney IP: Frozen, Disney Princess, Mickey & Friends, Encanto, etc. (name a movie, it's IP). Usually they are talking about IP presence in the Parks, and this includes the stories, characters, songs, ability to sell the merchandise, a ride having the theme of a movie, etc.

I love Tim’s tag lines at the beginning of the posts
Loving these podcasts gents. Feels like I'm sitting in the room with friends. Appreciate you both.

The Disneyland Halloween races opens for General registration on Feb. 13th at 7:00 am pacific time.
-I took the day off work to try to get in 🤞
Thank you tim and nick for the cool podcast ❤❤❤
Yes we agree! Tim’s sayings and interesting trivia are always a highlight.
Loving the podcast!!!! Side note, even as adults, my daughter, her best friend and I had an amazing time on the Disney Wish this August 2023! Great pod! Happy to see you guys together! Keep it up :)
Always listen to your wife best advice I have heard on the Internet!😂
I feel there is a lot of leg in this episode 😂 😂
Love the podcast. Enjoy listening and watching. 😊❤️ great duo😊

Fantastic episodes, guys. One of your best!... Totally gets me excited for Epic Universe!
Tim’s my spirit animal. Necronomicon water fountain would track! 💦😂

I look forward to Mondays more than I ever thought I would.
My first coaster was also the Hulk and I was in my teenage years before I was brave enough to try it!
I’m just going to say it. Nick is a national treasure.
I feel like YT is trolling Nick with the ad for Cocoa Beach I got during this podcast 😅
You should absolutely make up random things "that track". That's the perfect tag line. Your viewers will anticipate them each time.
Have you seen the vidio from The Carpetbagger?
Universal sent him a remarkable gift for the opening of Epic Universe, its too cool.
Super Mario worlds seem to be quite condensed so far, Universal Osaka also feels very cramped. So looking forward to seeing it more wide open at EU.

This made me giggle like a 12 year old. I was just noticing the acoustic tiles over Tim’s left shoulder just before reading this. 😂😂😂🤭🤭🤭

Me and my family can't wait to go on our first Disney cruise.
Loving y’all’s content!! It’s great how you point out the pointing that Tim does and then it happens later in the podcast. Lol
YES! Busch Gardens had Phenix! It was a ship ride and I use to opporate it! I hated to ride it but opporating it was so fun!

Such a good episode! (As always!)
Waking up to coffee and 'That Tracks' isn't a half bad way to start a Monday!!! 💃
The disrespect for Peppa Pig Land being totally forgotten as a new theme park 🤣 🤣

I know it would take way more time to edit, but since its a video podcast it would be nice to include some photo references to what's being discussed.
I can't wait for Epic Universe! How to Train your Dragon is going to be amazing!

another Monday morning with Fashionata!
I didn't realise that universal hadn't announced lands. I think i knew them as there is an updates channel on youtube that has disclosed the registered names of the rides & shops as the paperwork is lodged. i thought it was all public already.
My daughters are tall and were only a month into being 3 years old when they first rode Mine Train. Sort of turned them off all rides after that 😬.
Soda water = "spicy water" (per Jackson) 😂
What if you lost a key on the quay at the cay?
Would tim know the reference “she’s really good” ⛺️🎸(this is what came to my mind when you were talking about Disney Cruise’s being really good)😂
The new hotel at epic universe sounds very similar to the disneyland hotel at paris the veiws from the theme park rooms are incredible,
Watched the Sea World video. I was so excited as we have tickets in March. Then realized our tickets are for Monday so 😢.

Anybody know if Epic Universe will be included with the Universal annual pass right away?
The Fast and Furious Roller Coaster for Universal Studios Hollywood Opening in 2025 Teaser Taller.
Coronado Springs Destino Tower does not have balconies because it’s a moderate resort and only Disney deluxe resorts have balconies.
I’ve been waiting patiently for this 🎉
Hi Tim Are You Returning Disney At Some Point Anytime Soon???
I’m so excited for dark universe 😭 everyone I’ve talked to wants to go there
I absolutely loved the look of Super Nintendo World in Hollywood, but it is so small and packed, that there is nothing to do unless you rope drop.
I think having a Disney villains land would be great and fun for all families/adults. I have multiple friends who have younger kids that love the villains over the good guys. I for one would love to have a villains land. Not everything has to be focused around kids.
130 days….. what’s happening in June for Tim?? 🤔🤔🤔
I also have a countdown at 128 days for our last day of school lol
I have to say I've never watched Frankenstein but I have read it....and the monster is absolutely a villain in my opinion.
How often do you both bring your kids to the parks with you? Does your perspective change when you see the day through their eyes? How do you limit your kid's exposure on youtube/instagram?
What a nice pod
Working out for the first lookout point cruise?
Will Epic Universe be a separate pay into park or one ticket to go to All Universal?
I agree with Tim-this was a fantastic episode!
....me not googling 130 days from Feb 3rd 😂🤭
My 7 year old refuses to go on Mickey and Mickeys Runaway Railway. I think it’s something with the preshow

What is happening in a few days less then 130 days? Really curious 😂
My fave movie is also ‘Inside Out’. Cant wait for the second movie

Well phantom is a killer of universal monsters
😊Mondays ☕️🛤🎤
I love Tim facts
My birthday is on the 16th😊
In the UK quay is pronounced like key.
Maybe you should've ridden the slide without him first. I wonder if he'd want to go on it then.
Nick and Tim are great together in my opinion. I liked them in the parks when they met up in epcot... just seemed to fit together very well. Thanks guys!! See ya next week! Debra/Lakeland

Thanks for doing the math for me 🤣
Birthday? Cruise?
Their wedding anniversary is around that date

What does IP stand for?
Intellectual Property. It has to do with whether Universal owns the rights to something.
I am with Nick I have the least interest about dark universe, just have no interest in those old movies and monsters 😅. Everything else seems really exciting.
I heard “that tracks” on a tv show last night. It was an episode of The Irrational (originally aired 1/29)! You’re catching on.😂
Gah! I wish these pod casts weren’t so long! Takes me forever to watch them because I can’t sit for that long to watch lol
I actually listen to them for the same reason. Have them on when I'm doing something else.
I'm with Jackson, aqua mouse is not appealing to me
Why do you guys do these podcasts in your socks?
