Just terrible! How can there not be safety precautions for walking toddlers!? How can this place get licensed or pass a safety inspection with an open well on the property? Words can’t express the horror the parents are feeling. The guilt that will set in because they had to work!
You don’t have to project guilt onto them just because they had their kid in daycare. I see so many comments like yours anytime something bad happens to a child who was watched by someone else. ‘Oh so sad how moms have to work these days, she must feel like it’s all her fault’. Yeah well it’s still better than women being indentured servants with very little free will.
I worked as a foreign language teacher at a kindergarten abroad. I had nearly no training. But I knew that Every hour on the hour is not it. Even Every 5 min is a long time. You just mentally make sure everyone is there all the time. Continuously, never stopping. Don’t see Peter for 2 min, you should notice. Where’s Peter? The kids will tell you he’s kneeling behind the bookcase. The kids actually are very observant. Those were 4 years olds though, a bit older than toddlers.
every hour?! no no no. every 3-5 minutes at least! it only takes a second for toddlers to run away and the daycare should have been childproofed so this couldn’t have happened.
Therexwas a story about 2 weeks ago of a parent going to drop his child off, and he walked through each "age" area at 730 am and their were some kids playing or crying alone in each room, area. He couldn't find a single staff person. He eventually found them all sitting in a break room having coffee and eats. He refused to leave his child, and reported the daycare. Not one staff greetin arriving kids or supervising incoming kids. Parents left kids not looking for staff. VEry scary.
Jesus. I have a little girl in daycare. I once found a little boy about 2 years old wandering in a side street just next to a busy road, he was wondering towards it. We checked every house on the street to see where this child came from. Eventually a lady smoking a cigarette came out and collected the boy and scolded him for leaving the yard. The lady was running a foster home with at least a few kids and clearly did not give a crap about any of them. I hope that little boy and his companions have good lives after escaping such a messed up system.
Jesus. You know the YMCA in Ottawa on Argyle, killed a child in their care, by running over her with the daycare van. They literally just didn’t secure the vehicle and check. I won’t even leave my Cat at a pet daycare. This is terrible.

@@junecoulthard8942 the daycare had her in there care and somehow managed to lose her on there property ans then she ends up found dead on there property it's pretty clear who is at fault whoever was working that day should be charged everyone of them you drop your child off at a daycare so they can care for your child and keep and eye on your child not to loose your child and they somehow end up dead this happens far to often at daycares its unbelievable that a parent can't go to work and trust a daycare to look after there baby.
@alisha8586 one of the carers or someone close was jealous of toddler. It happens. Some people can't take responsibility for their sad life and want to take it out on others.
Seeing the man explain hearing the mom broke my heart. Poor little one.
If she was found on daycare property, how did they miss her during the search? Was she in the well? This is so sad. Prayers to all involved. 🙏 🙏
They found her in the search. Did you not watch video?
I'm sure we all want to know what happened!
I think they mean how didn't they find her right away
I was wondering that too. How did it take so long to find her, if she was found ON the daycare property? Surely the property can’t be that big. Makes me wonder what those daycare workers were up to during the search.
I think someone took her from outside time and returned her body for them to find so they could watch the show
What amazing neighbours who care deeply about the family’s situation. The person responsible for her care that day needs to be charged. And the Daycare for clearly having too many children for the amount of adults present. So sad and infuriating. 😢💖🌹🕊️
It's not clear at all how many children are there every day. It could be that or it could simply be the person charged with their care is irresponsible.
The mother is actually responsible for her care - if I was that baby I know who’d I’d be blaming
@@CarolFremel-my4hs not when you are paying a childcare provider, no. That’s not how that kind of thing works.
@@TheRisskee well, if there’s only 4-6 children per childcare provider, like their should be, then I would think the child’s absence should have been noted much sooner than it was or avoided entirely. Sounds like a fly by night operation otherwise, in my opinion.
@@thdoggo1 unlicensed daycares don’t have to follow state laws unfortunately. I see it in my state. My family friends son was being abused and the lady had 13 kids in her care.
This is just horrible, my heart goes out to the family.
How do you not notice a baby missing from your care???!! This poor baby was failed horribly by this daycare.
Exactly, are they not supposed to do a head count regularly when running a daycare? I know the one my kids went to did. They should be closed down in my opinion, but thats just me.
Exactly. I can't even imagine what her family is going through right now. The whole daycare needs to be charged.
@Lala rules "it" is a "she"
@Lala rules yes your brain
@Lala rules they said something about there being an old well on the daycare property, I'm assuming she fell into it somehow.
Sad..
I also felt so sad for the man that seems to have suffered so much in life.
May they find peace of heart.
Mother's who stay home with their children are judged now a days because people think you should be working but I don't care, I'm not leaving my kids with people who don't care about them. Rip little sweetheart, my thoughts are with your mommy who must be so heartbroken 😢
Exactly.
Yes I hear you! I'm sorry our world is so cruel and judging you. Don't listen to them, there are still a great many of us good people out there and do care and understand.Take good care 💜
@@rainbaby obviously some day care workers don't care and some do... you can't decide which ones do or don't so why risk it as a parent
We were poor and struggled financially but we never put any of our 3 boys into daycare. I couldn't bear to miss one second of their life. Parents who put their kids in daycare miss many of their precious moments and the funny little things they say and do as they grow
Do children not die because of their parents at home? What now? Stop using specific situations for your own agenda. Nobody besides misogynistic chappy people judge women for either staying at home to take care of toddlers or for putting kids in daycare.

Pain from a devastating loss never goes away. You just gradually get used to living with the pain.
The kind of daycare that has an open well on the property is the kind to let one wander off and not notice
In the United States the law is all old wells have to be covered. I lived all my life where we only had the old well water they absolutely scared me to death as a child my Grandfather had one and the way he built it you could never call in he had 35 grandchildren every weekend God sent. Miss the good days where family was around. Soon this child has missed a good life with family 😒😒
She didn't die iIN the well. Geez! She was FOUND near a well.
@Mary Thibault so we're you the one who took her and then brought her back?
@@marythibault9032 Right, so she fell over near the well somehow and then *died* within that period of time? Her body was recovered from in the well. Citizens looked for her for over an hour in and around daycare property with no luck. They would have spotted her much earlier. Please do some critical thinking.
"life is painful, generally" thanks for a statement with depth.
Absolutely heartbreaking. Sending my deepest condolences.
How could you not know where a two year-old is?? They need eyes on them at all times. My heart breaks for the parents just devastating negligent.
Just terrible! How can there not be safety precautions for walking toddlers!? How can this place get licensed or pass a safety inspection with an open well on the property? Words can’t express the horror the parents are feeling. The guilt that will set in because they had to work!
@@a1c3c3uhow does a 2 year old fall down an unopen well? 😂
@@kylieharrison3782next to the well not in the well
You don’t have to project guilt onto them just because they had their kid in daycare. I see so many comments like yours anytime something bad happens to a child who was watched by someone else. ‘Oh so sad how moms have to work these days, she must feel like it’s all her fault’. Yeah well it’s still better than women being indentured servants with very little free will.
@@a1c3c3u if you would read other news stories you would know this one got it wrong, that they actually recovered her body out of the OPEN well
@@a1c3c3u I read the body was recovered from what looked like an open well.....
If they can’t watch children better than that they shouldn’t be in business. As far as I’m concerned this is criminal negligence causing death.
How do people who are SUPPOSED to be in charge of children let this happen? They should do head counts every hour on the hour.
Last time they saw the girl was 20 mins before pick up, it saw . So ur every hr head count does nothing to stop a kid from missing.
@@flexxgym350 FINE, BUT THEY ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR "EACH" CHILD!!
This is absolutely gut wrenching
My heart goes out the family and anyone who loved this sweet baby
I'm so very sorry for this little girl's mother and the rest of her family.
Condolences to the family, this is devastating 😢
Jesus. You know the YMCA in Ottawa on Argyle, killed a child in their care, by running over her with the daycare van. They literally just didn’t secure the vehicle and check. I won’t even leave my Cat at a pet daycare. This is terrible.
My deepest condolences to the parents and families of this toddler. That is a parent's worst nightmare is to drop your child off at a daycare or school and it turns out to be the last day to see your child alive. I can't imagine the pain that these parents are going through. May God comfort them and strengthen then during this very tragic time.
A lot of questions & no answers at this point but a thorough investigation WILL have to be completed. Someone WILL be paying for this. It breaks my heart when a child is needlessly taken from us. No words can express my sorrow at these times.
My heart 💓 goes out to the mother and father and the man who said life is painful. God bless you 🙏 I hope you find peace.
The name of the daycare is ironic because she obviously was not being watched. How does this happen?

Every daycare needs surveillance cameras.
Every day care needs enough staff, who check on all the little ones in their care. This day care should never have been licensed until they closed that well on their property!
@@nadyarossi5102 I can’t believe they ignored the danger of that well, or how it passed any safety inspection. This could have been avoided, absolutely irresponsible on the owners.

First of all my prayers and condolences to the parents of this precious little girl. I worked at a head start program in nutrition services and even though I wasn't hands on with children, was still responsible for their whereabouts and I also was a mandated reporter. Our centers counted each child, every day, every hour, before leaving the facility, upon returning from the playground or a field trip and throughout the rest of the day. 😔😔
I wish more than anything that this blessed child was at your daycare because it sounds like this would never have happened...a lovely place by the sounds

@Michael Lambert So many things are wrong with your statement. How do you know it was a ‘newcomer immigrant’ looking after the child? As well, many people like caring for children regardless of their immigration status.
This is exactly why I went part time to take care of my daughter… I’m check to check but I know she save every waking moment. She just turned 3. I will be able to go back full time in 1 year once she’s in preschool. Patience and trusting in God works
