It's always important to remember that many, if not most self-proclaimed conservatives don't have any real values of their own. Their only solid position is "I don't like liberals/leftists". So they don't care if Republicans lie, they just care if the candidates puff their chest and call Democrats "evil" and hate trans people or whatever. Beyond that they couldn't care less and only pretend they support the same things Republicans do so they don't have to admit they only vote red because they don't like minorities and gay people.
