Macbeth is arguably the best of Shakespeare's tragedies but Lady Macbeth is not worse than Gertrude.

Well it depends how you read Hamlet. There's no actual proof that Gertrude did anything wrong, except maybe marry too soon. If that's all she's guilty of, then Lady Macbeth is far worse.
