These are hilarious, I miss the old TV shows. I can't remember the Kung Funepisode but there was one where they have horses and they walk right past a mic stand and some dude in a plaid shirt. Not even in the background, basically right in the short. Guess film was too expensive to cut and reshoot. Lol
Fun fact. The FCC made the producers of Kung Fu put all the fight scenes in slow motion because they considered it too violent for kids to watch on broadcast TV. It appeared less violent and disturbing in slow motion.
False. Certain segments were done in slow motion for the same reason as The Six Million Dollar Man running was done in slow motion: because it looked more dramatic. In fact, David Carradine doing kicks and throws at actual speed looked funny.
Absolutely love the shakiest gun in the West doc the Haywood hahaha lol so funny my favorite don knotts movie love kung fu love the clint Eastwood western movies love all those western shows and movies classic stuff great goofs stunt doubles bloopers
Thank you for giving me my morning laughs, especially the one with the stuntman on Kung Fu just standing off to the side watching the stars tussle. That got a belly laugh from me. Thanks again!
Thanks for a great fun watch tv crazyman! The Gunsmoke parodied on " Maver everike" was one of my favorites, I never noticed the parked car in the corner of the street, many thanks!!!
I’m guessing that the changing stagecoaches were due to the use of stock footage, which was common during this series. Whenever the costumes of the Maverick boys differed from their usual getup, you could expect a generous use of stock footage. Also, Eastwood’s pronunciation of “Maverack” was an obvious attempt to get under Bret’s skin.
Yeah, stock footage use made for a lot of continuity errors back in the day. I had to bring up Eastwood's "Maverick" in there. It cracked me up. I guess, you could say, "It made my day."😀
Definitely appreciate the work the classic TV and movie stars and production teams put into their work. My childhood would have been pretty boring without the shows and movies they made.
This was a great video. And I love your point about Little Joe and his magic gunshots. Similar shots were a regular thing on The Rifleman with the angle that Chuck Connors held the rifle frequently not matching the direction of his target.
Luckily for tv producers, back then tv screens were 19" and sat on the floor 8 feet away 😊. But a lot of the shows were more entertaining ,I guess we werent as jaded back then
Good catches! I can't tell you how many times I've watched old shows that take place in ancient times where I see the contrails of an airplane in the sky or a modern wristwatch on someone's wrist. But honestly, those things never bothered me if the story was interesting enough.
There's an episode of Mork & Mindy where Mindy is humming the theme to Laverne & Shirley. This is quite bizarre considering that *Mork actually MET Laverne* on an episode of Happy Days! It was a very "meta" moment where Mindy was essentially saying, "Yes, I know I'm in a TV show".
I was always under the impression that television and movie studios had Continuity Departments whose one/primary job was making sure that the kinds of errors and goofs that you are so keenly, so adeptly spotting, don't happen. Was there only a minimum amount of money allocated to a Continuity Department in the collective TV/movie industry over the years? Or...did such "departments" not even exist for most movie and television productions? ~ And by the way, I love what you're doing! Thank you so much for providing some great entertainment! (I was born in 1948, so I am very familiar with most of the programs that you profile.)
Thanks, I appreciate it. I know when it came to television they had small budgets and little time back in the day. It was a go go world back then. They put out so much more content than they do now.
Also: #1) I think the tire tracks that are visible in the dirt in that Old West town are from putting automobile tires on the wheels of their stagecoaches; and #2.) If you can have the talking horse, "Ed" on a television series (1960s), and later, a "talking" car on TV, then wouldn't it logically follow that a bear could, in fact, be told to stay within a circle of rocks, and it will?! Just thinkin'...
Thank you once again crazy man another great one taken me way back to 1977 Grizzly Adams pale face I can recall my favourite especially seeing the all time favourite woman Jane Russell ❤ you recall the forest rangers back in the 60s ?
Good point, I would assume they fed him, but I've noticed TV shows never address having to go to the bathroom. If that bear stayed there all that time there would be a smell I'm sure.🤔
You should go through the great "Adventures of Brisco County Jr." for goofs. I noticed a bunch when I started watching through my box set awhile back, but had to get a new set due to some disc issues with the first one I got.
Thanks, I actually ordered the DVD set a few days ago. Still waiting for it to arrive. I hope mine doesn't have disc issues. Hoping to do a video on it coming up.
you have to forgive some of the bloopers in the old tv shows, they were on a strict time schedule and they just didnt care if a tower or car was in the shot. shakiest gun in the west is an all time fav of mine, don knots was one of the greats. im gonna see if i can find paleface and give it a watch
I can tell you don't shoot as lever action rifles will often kick empty brass onto cowboy hats. They are not hot enough to burn the hat, although they can burn your hand if handled right away.
Facts about actor Key Luke who Number one son in Charlie Chan movies & the Blind Master on the Kung Fu tv series. Before he became an actor he was an artist & did some artwork for the pressbook for the 1933 King Kong he also helped design the program book for King Kong & his name is in the credits of the program book he also Dubbed the voice of The Villian Han in Enter The Dragon 😊😊😊 & as always TV Crazyman thanks for another great video i like watching them after a hard days work. 👍
Been watching a Lot of Older TV Series Lately and Constantly seeing Camera Crew, Camera's, Microphones and Shadows or Reflections of all of these in Scenes.. Or the Same Scenes used over and over and over from Episode to Episode.. Or how F'd the Vehicles are after a Jump or a Crash or a Sideswipe to they point it is Undrivable ( Dukes of Hazard mostly ) yet Vary next shot, No Damage what so ever... OR they are in a Open Field yet Close Up of the people in the Car show them next to a Cliff or Mountain.. Tires that sound like they are on Asphalt yet are on Dirt. Or how they don't keep the order of the Episodes in Order.. Like Have One car in Season 1,2 and it Blows Up but See it again in Mid Season 3 and once or twice in season 4 And Had the new one that replaced it show up in a few episodes of season 2... Or how a Character Leaves For Good in Season 3 but they act like they never left in season 4 in a Few episodes And Brought in the Replacement in Season 2 a few times yet don't see them again until Season 5... Or use the Same Actor for several different Character threw-out the Series.. I could go On and On...
This might be a "cheap shot", but I remember the episode of "Little House on the Prairie" where a traveling man came to town with a newfangled "hot-air balloon". At one point, the balloon lands in a field, and the FAA "tail number" is printed vertically on the balloon. Couldn't they have rotated the balloon, or changed the camera angle of the landing, so the FAA number would have stayed hidden?
TV’s didn’t have the resolution your videos have. Most of these, we wouldn’t be able to see anyway, much less, know what it is. We had ghosts, snow, double images, etc. lol.
There was a guy up the street from where I grew up who looked exactly like David Carradine. He acted like his character in Kung Fu. To this day I wonder who that guy was
@tvcrazyman there is a british guy named Barry Thomson who has weightlifting videos. I told Barry, you look like this guy who has a channel called tvcrazyman. He laughed, not me he goes
Given that David Carradine did series on drugs, and given that he didn't know any fighting at all, instead of Kung Fu it should have been named "The Stoned Monk that Fights Extremely Slowly". Nevertheless, everybody loved the series.
The very first gift were you spotting?A telephone lines on telephone polls on Maverick. Those could be explained away as telegraph lines on telegraph poles.Because they did look exactly the save. And clint eastwood was just mispronouncing the name to screw with maverick.
@tvcrazyman Also I wanted to point out that it drives me up the wall. How they use 6 shooters in a lot of cowboy tv shows in a lot of cowboy movies because they use them very unrealistically. Back in those days, most 6 shooters could not shoot further than 30 feet. Before the bullet would drop and you see people doing shots from more than 60 70 feet and some cases, but there was one movie where a guy shot a guy from the top of a mountain. With a six shooter and that's just plain b.S. Even see that a lot of modern TV shows nowadays where the cop or the good guy is shooting people from long distances with a 6 shooter or a automatic handgun again. It's unrealistic because of the short barrel. The bullet's not gonna travel as far. It's not gonna have the hitting distance that a rifle does.. It's 6 shooters because rifles were far more accurate. And you didn't get a bullet drop as quick with a rifle. They just aroused me up the wall that they per create this myth that 6 shooters could shoot like this. When they were in fact a very inaccurate even with the best shooters
I am continually amazed at how you spot all this stuff. Great video, thank you for posting 🥰
Thanks, I appreciate it.
A fun video to watch.
This episode makes me shout: Bring back Western shows on TV! Lots more of them!
These are hilarious, I miss the old TV shows. I can't remember the Kung Funepisode but there was one where they have horses and they walk right past a mic stand and some dude in a plaid shirt. David Carridene looked like a wooden fake chinaman throughout. Very poor acting very poor concept and total crap😅
@jeffbaxter8770 your opinion only. It was an excellent show.
False. Certain segments were done in slow motion for the same reason as The Six Million Dollar Man running was done in slow motion: because it looked more dramatic. In fact, David Carradine doing kicks and throws at actual speed looked funny.
Love this. Takes me back to childhood days.
Lots of fun...Thank You.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😀
That was a good one. So many goofs. Wow.
In an episode of Gunsmoke, Festus describes something as a "Doozy."
Which of course is a reference to the Duesenberg automobile.
"...Like my ol' Pappy used to say, a little hard work never hurt anybody...who didn't do it!" - James Garner as Bret Maverick
Got to love Pappy's old sayings.😀
Kung Fu was my favorite ...
Once again your observational skills are off the scale! 😳👏👏👏
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Absolutely love the shakiest gun in the West doc the Haywood hahaha lol so funny my favorite don knotts movie love kung fu love the clint Eastwood western movies love all those western shows and movies classic stuff great goofs stunt doubles bloopers
😀
😀
I hope you all enjoy my latest video on classic westerns!😀
Yes..this is a good one.
Thank you for giving me my morning laughs, especially the one with the stuntman on Kung Fu just standing off to the side watching the stars tussle. That got a belly laugh from me. Thanks again!
The aspect ratio of the televised program would not have shown the stuntman or the fire extinguisher.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😄
This is the funniest video I saw in a weeks.😅
Thanks, glad you liked it.
I have been trying to find that Bob Hope movie for years. Thanks. Now, I know the name.
Thanks for a great fun watch tv crazyman! The Gunsmoke parodied on " Maver everike" was one of my favorites, I never noticed the parked car in the corner of the street, many thanks!!!
I love the way you find all the fake shots love your vlogs
Thanks
Awesome video Mr Crazyman. So many goofs that are so funny. I am rewatching now. Have a good one and until your next great video ✌️ Mr Crazyman.
Appreciate it. Thanks

I love to find mistakes in movies too. Just remember that these movie people are doing the best they can to entertain us.

Heyyy! It's uncle Jesse at 15:41 Great video my friend.
Thanks. Yeah, he played Mad Jack right before he became Uncle Jessie.
What a relief to see a TV crazy man video so I can take a break from some other stuff if you know what I mean
I watched all that stuff first time and never saw any of it.
Had to love Maverick back in the day 😀
Especially those old sayings from Pappy.

Speaking of goofs, at 13:41, he says "Remember the epic TV series Norf and South". Not norTH, but norF. Listen to it three of four times.
1:05 The revolver isn't cocked. Single-action revolvers won't fire unless they are. (You might not have time to cock the piece if a fight breaks out.)
You are way too funny with this episode!!!
Is that a UFO? The Plane The Plane
Then the walkie-talkie
Lol
😂
Glad you liked it. 😀
Also, at 12:03, what's that behind the house? It should be sky, but looks like the studio wall.
That was absolutely amazing 😂
Glad you liked it. 😀
Chief Dan George was an Academy Award Nominee for Little Big Man.
I haven't seen that one in a long time. I used to watch it a lot on cable when I was a kid.
Maybe the bear staying in the rock circle was supposed to add an element of mysticism?🤷♀️
Hmm...maybe but they never mentioned or hinted to anything like that. 🤔
Thank you once again crazy man another great one taken me way back to 1977 Grizzly Adams pale face I can recall my favourite especially seeing the all time favourite woman Jane Russell ❤ you recall the forest rangers back in the 60s ?
This video is a great break from all of the political bull____ that is swamping You Tube at this time. Thank you sir! Tom H.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Don Knotts canteen image, must have been a mirage
@8:29 how is Don and his horse leaving tire marks?
14:42 I have to wonder if the Bear got hungry or thirsty or had to _relieve_ himself being in the circle of rocks all that time.
Good point, I would assume they fed him, but I've noticed TV shows never address having to go to the bathroom. If that bear stayed there all that time there would be a smell I'm sure.🤔

although it is just tv its pretty funny and even funnier how some people get so upset about authenticity
They must’ve given the continuity director the day off. 😊
The canteen was a mirage.

As well as Kato in the Green Hornet serial.
The telegraph existed during the Civil war. So maybe they were trying to pass off the power lines as telegraph lines and poles.

I would like to have an old TV again, just to compare it to my new TV. I remember how heavy and huge the big screens were in the 80s.
Hey y'all 😮
How do you even see these?
A lot by research and others just because I watch a lot of TV on a very big screen. 😀
👍

Ancient Chinese Soldier eh?
We need more Calgon!
When Don Knotts is complaining about the missing canteen, why didn't you mention the tire tracks?

Right, I agree on the Clint Eastwood thing for sure, I was just trying to joke around a bit with that one.😀
@tvcrazyman O k well I did not know that sorry about that

Tire tracks? there are hundreds of them in all westerns,,,all you have to do is look.....
Kung Fu was a unique series and I very much doubt that Bruce Lee would have been able to improve it.
I'm glad you say that. Lee was always a high strung individual and no way would he have made it as a monk.
Bruce Lee didn't get the part in _Kung Fu_ because of his thick accent.
Ha
As a kid growing up we never missed Kung Fu,who would have ever imagined he would hang his self? 🫢 sorry
