- Brazil has one of the largest Black populations outside of Africa and has long painted itself as a racism-free country.
But some Black voters single out incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro's policies and prior statements as racist.
In Sunday’s tight presidential run-off, their vote could determine the winner.

We Brazilians are blacks of different tones and hues and shades but we are black!
I've met many Brazilians and even the light skinned one who has African ancestors always saying that they're part African. We could say that many Brazilians claimed their African ancestries. They just don't want to be identified as Blacks. It's different than the USA where it's a total black and white.
Also, large number darker skinned Brazilians live in rural areas as opposed to highly urbanized African American.
