Idk what the world record is but I’ve got 140 myself on a gym floor, watched my school record of 156 (Hayfield HS). Highest I’ve heard and believed was around 170 Brandon McGorty from Chantilly HS/Standford.
What I’ve been told about the rules is you need at least 1 foot over the line which saves a ton
Seth, that you Broski? Class of 2017? Bobby/Oli/John crew?
@@washingtonsideline2174 no way
@@washingtonsideline2174 I may or not be depending on who you are lol
@@washingtonsideline2174 that’s crazy
Spencer's score would convert to ~180 on the test most people are familiar with.
Pretty sure most tests run in school gyms are the 15m test since the standard HS basketball court width is 50 ft (15.24m). Each one-minute level has the same speed in both tests, so the 15m test has more shuttles per level. So if you take Spencer's total distance (20*135=2700) and divide by 15 this converts to 180 on that test (not a perfect conversion bc there are more turns on the shorter test but pretty close).
I believe the record at my high school is somewhere around 165. But I'm not sure if our school does the test on an official "20 meters" course. We just ran it across the short way of our gymnasium.
💀💀💀 our gym teacher made us run the long way across the gym floor 😭😭
no wonder the school record was like 45 or smth 😐😐
@@FredrickTheDogsame thing with my school and i remember my grades highest was landyn with 60 something and i was in second with like 57 or something idk
i used to watch you religiously about 3 years ago when i was running 5k races. i stopped for a long time, just now starting back up. seen one of your runs on strava and i’m glad to have found you again.
You’ve really stepped up your editing game. Love it!
just saw that 247 is the record 🥵
I was about to say that. The test ends at 247 and is the current record considering it ends at 247
@@Fullsendfilosophy there is no world record it’s a test that can be completed and isn’t endless
@@Charcoaledmarmalade You can have a world record for anything if you’re the only one to do it. Thus a world record
my best is 19 lmao
just absolutely wrong@@Charcoaledmarmalade
If he worked on having more efficient turns where he maintains more speed, he could’ve gotten a handful more for sure
yeah he probley added like at least 5 extra laps with how he was turning
I’m lead to believe you only need one foot over the line each rep so going completely past the line and making big turns is extremely inefficient. Face the side and reach into the line with an extended leg and then use that to push off as you swivel to run back. Alternate legs on each rep.
I’d love to see another video with this method, I think you’d crack 140.
That works until you tear an ACL
@@ezekielanderson9055Thats when you start using that BCL when shit gets real 🦵
Hey! The world record is 247, which is the entirety of the pacer test. Set by Dennis Meija.
everyone gangsta until people start rebirth pacer test with x2 speed
@@TheSpriteGuy1216 Oh god
494? Is it possible?
Nah
Dennis Mejia, at the time a student at Central Middle School, did all 247 laps of the test in 2016
From what I know, this video is the fastest recorded pacer test. The 247 is the fastest one out of all.
Jamal did 273 in the cookout back in 08
Just wanted to say I'm glad I found this channel!!
i have done one bleep test in my life (never again lol) got to 149 (level 15.5) I'm much slower than spencer, but seem to be able to turn much quicker which is a great advantage in this test.
Same with me I got to Level 16.5, is that 160+?
@@wilsonruns3381 yeah that'd be 160+. Very impressive 👏
@@peterhackett3815 thank you, some in my class on the same day got 18.7!!
Yea my best was like 124 and that was before I started running XC and track. Once I started I always wanted to see how far I could go but it seemed like every time we did it in gym I had a meet that same day so I never got to go all out
same but with football and soccer instead
Great work Spencer. I’m sure you got a 136 in you!
honestly allie one handing two phones while filming with one of them is mad impressive
oh and spence was aite too
jkjk honestly it got mad intense esp w allie and ari's "im starting to be impressed"
Oh man we only ever did this in elementary and middle school. They turned it off after 100 so as a kid I always thought I literally beat the pacer test 😂
You guys are the best
I was bored out of my f king mind through 110 and then I saw the grit and determination on mr specials face and I was still bored out of my f king mind
Keep making these videos
The world record is 247 only ever done by one person. A middle schooler named Dennis Meija. The test actually stops at 247
way to go Spencer
I know a strategy at my school was that when you were close to breaking you purposefully took a fail one rep by walking out a little and back and so you get 10-15 seconds of rest before continuing
There was a guy at my school (Rocky Mountain hs) that supposedly got 182 which I definitely believe because he also subbed 4 minutes in the mile in 2016
i love you spencer
The Fitnessgram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20-meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line at at the start. The running speed starts slowly but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound. Your test is over. Test will begin on the word start. On your mark. Get ready, start.
hey dude I'm 13 male and when I was in 7th grade I got 75 and now I am in 8th grade and I have the pacer test in 3 weeks and I'm working my butt of because my crush is in my gym class and I want to "impress" her so I've been training for days and I already feel comfortable about it so thanks for making this video!!!
How did it work out for you ?
@@koz3ris252 missed the pacer😭
I DEMAND a rematch with Santa this Christmas
As someone in relatively terrible shape I got over 140 pretty easily maybe my school did the 15m pacer instead. (I had to stop cause my P. E coach was tired of waiting)
If your coach was that lazy, I also doubt it was even 15 meters.
Damn what an effort. Maybe next time you'll get it 👍
bros gotta run with the plant and turn not the looping turn, easily had a few more levels in him. There are a bunch of reports of professional athletes (Seb Coe for instance) getting to level 17 which would be ~170 shuttles. Fire music btw i forgot about those tunes
All those comments of kids or people saying they did way better in a gym but yet probably none of them can come close to Spencer’s 8:07 3k. Guys, your pacer test in PE were not legit. Try measuring a real 20m and do it like Spencer and I doubt most of you even break 100.
Great commentary by Ari, could have used a positivity boost from Randy too! Come back, Randy! And where was Will? You need the whole crew if you are trying to break a world record!
Nice job, yesterday at school I got 145 and threw up after all blood
“Mr special”😂💀
The maximum laps on the PACER test is 247, which former Central Middle School student Dennis Mejia achieved
Lots of people have gotten it
Is running in ovals less tiring than decelerating and making a 180 turn? I want to get a PB on this and am wondering what’s more efficient.
ovals is 100% better, better rhythm and less reliance on acceleration, which is spencer's biggest issue here I feel.
Ovals fs.
Seb Coe was rumored to have reached the limit of the test!
LETTTTSSSSS GOOOOO
I got 140 my freshman year in Highschool but apparently thats the highest the CD went to. We didn't do it any other year of highschool though
I think we ran it a little longer than 20 meters but I did 77 in 5th grade, a record at my elementary school
First man to attempt pacer test in dragonflies.
Last I did the pacer test was about 8th grade (my school offers PE exemptions for ppl in sports) and I got a very mid score of 64. The pacer is legit one of the most mentally and physically challenging “shorter distance” runs you can do imo
I’ve hit 157 on a gym floor with moving breaks. 4:08 miler.
That's some good ass music.
Wild… although I feel like everyone in the comments can apparently do over 120. My best was 55 back in middle school (we never did it in high) and I ended up being a recruited runner, so idk how useful it is lol.
My guy is at 113 and bro is like "starting to border impressive."
Got 120 today, literally went til I couldn’t no more
I did this back when you originally did it (3 years ago). I can't remember my score. I think it was 120 or so. It's not that hard to 100 and then it ramps up really quickly.
Did you measure 20m with a tape though? Gym lengths are not 20m.
@@FooFloyDon I did it on a track........
just finished a pacer test~ 40 meters-107 laps-
Dad coaching 😊
Wow
Got 120 my freshman year and haven’t done it since
"bigger turn radius" "better shirt" is there a deep dive on the science of turning around? are walls allowed? your method is natural and seems good but what if someone came up with like a flipturn equivalent but on land? would love a deep dive on this. congrats on tying yourself
I knew a kid who did 135 in middle school and I did 129. Not saying we were anywhere near as fast as spencer but maybe the pacer test doesn’t relate directly to your mile or 800m?
It would've been 15m not 20 prolly
Let’s go
I did 202 laps on the pacer test
I just remember in middle school when the coach says pacer test we would all collectively groan. For girls the highest they would go to is 75 and in 6th I did so bad and in 7th i was suddenly able to hit 75
Attempt #20
You should transition too 10km - 21.1km and Marathon….big engine
Nice fitness, but with improved technique I think you could get significantly higher.
I hit 135 on turf in 8th grade.. same distance
i only ever did it in elementary school and my best record was 132 in the 5th grade
I had my schools record of 143 sophomore year
He got out many times

I got 58 at 10 years old
apparently I just read up some middle schooler maxed out the test and hit 247 and it just turned off and stopped dont even know how that is possible
The most I got was 89 in 3rd grade
My personal record is 127
Fucking crazy lmao
I bet the record is more than 135, because a 7th grader at my school got a 114
I did 120 in dunks
the recorder is over 200
World re ord is actually 247
Did anyone else have to pick up and put down erasers on each line when they were in school?
I haven't run it since middle school but my best was 100
Is pacer and the beep test the same thing because ain't no way that's the world record. In my boxing gym 2 kids got above 14 and the kid who won get to level 15
133 Not bad.
OMG is Allie Ostrander in this video???
I swear, at my school they put the markers 20 yards apart💀
Someone in eight grade a few years ago got 145
In PE they would split us up into 2 groups to do the pacer and one would go first and the second would go after. And I knew this one kid who did all 75 then did 75 again and this was in 6th grade so if you were able to hit 75 you would be labeled as the athletic kid
And got a 323 on the 15 meter pacer
I like how the comments say that they got higher than him. But there's no way they can beat a professional runner lol
I’m 14 and I got 128 on it
The biggest question in my mind is why does he have spikes on for this 😂
My first score was 101 then 102 and then 247!!!
There are people at my school with more than 135 the highest at my school is literally 162
got 102 in 5th grade i only really remember being the only kid in triple digits
My highest as a 7th grader was 121
i got 15.2 (144ish in shuffles considering it said end of lvl 13 at 130 and lvl 13 had 13 shuffles) so i dont think 135 is the record i heard the record was around 17 to 18 in levels so imagine how many shuffles that would be
i did 101 in 7th grade, i was tryna beat a girl cus my ego way too big back then but she ended up getting the school record with 139 😅
I would love to see what Jakob or Kiplimo could get on the pacer😂
Jakob is easily getting 200😂😆
Easy 243 cause a middle schooler got that which is the maz
@@jayure1346 243 easy they could hit 300 if it went longer
Highest I've had one of my middle schoolers get is 92. I've always said that if one of them gets 100, then I'll do it.
The highest anyone got in my school (7th grade) was around 110-120
My friend got 138 in middle 8th grade
The record for my middle school is 136
“All this for a video that is going to flop again” 😂. That is how it feels to be a RUclipsr sometimes
I believe 240 is the record
