The width is great, imo, but I would add stitches to the sides to straighten the edges and that would add a bit of width too 😊 You should totally make a headband!!
You could probably keep a similar pattern to what you’re using, but I would make sure they’re not using the fluffy yarn so you can see it well. I personally like complicated knots but her patterns would probably be hard to learn from for the first time. Even if you don’t have the kit, the woobles videos are free for anyone to watch and are great for learning how to crochet for the first time! Hope this helps :)
