So whatever happened to the concept of "torsional stability" in Footjoy golf shoes? I've had two pair of Footjoys with some sort of fiberglass or carbon fiber (Footjoy Countours model) in the arch portion of the shoe for added torsional stability. In my opinion, it really helps with foot stability, especially the back foot, during the backswing and follow through. Do any of these Footjoy golf shoes have added torsional stability in their DNA? Thanks.

The more budget, lightweight summer shoes like the FootJoy Flex won't have so much, but almost all of their core range will have features to help with stability. This is generally a VersaTrax sole on the spiked shoes or the new PWR TRAX system on the bottom of the new Pro SLX. However, they do also tend to release a "Carbon" version of their premium shoes (Pro SLX, HyperFlex etc), with a similar sort of plate that you mentioned, for those that really want the most out of their stability

Footjoy aren’t what they used to be. I have an original pair of Hyperflex that are still going. I bought another pair a few years later and they fell apart. They wouldn’t honour the warranty. I’ve gone with other brands now and saved a packet!

They will inspect warranty claims as they come through, but any split in the material or failure in the waterproofing within the warranty period is definitely something that would be replaced or credited through your retailer

The leather will naturally crease with wear but cracking that early is a warranty issue your retailer would be able to sort for you with FootJoy
