TTRPGs need more scary real things like the moray, and less silly things. In the TCD system I have templates you add to enemies, instead of a ton of horrid elementals that are hard to implement, you simply put an elemental template on a creature of your choice and it changes it's special functions.
On the reef when you dive and you're now unalive, that's a moray.
