I was 7 when l first flew into Tahsis, mom bro and sis. On take off the float plane hit a log in Muchlate inlet, destroyed one float. Pilot lifted damaged float off water gained speed on one and took off. We flew to Tahsis. Upon landing as soon as the damaged float touched down we began to sink. As l was sitting beside the rear door l was given instructions on opening it. We all climbed out into a waiting speed boat. Welcome to Tahsis.
