Can I ask a question, what should I do if a demon begins to openly try to terrify me or attack me in my dreams. Over the last 3 days, i've woken up in the middle of the night, twice, the first time, im pretty sure the demon tried to attack me in my sleep, attempting to enter my soul, the second time, today, it tried to terrify me, where upon sort of waking in the middle of the night, I found it trying to talk to me in my sleep, terrifying me with a booming inhuman voice. Both times, praying to god that it would stop. Im not sure what to do.

I admit that I have failed so much that it seems like my very prayers go unheard. I've used the internet as an idol as well as an excuse for laziness. Recently my boyfriend and I broke up- because I don't know how to interact with other human beings. Now I have no job & nobody to listen or care about me. I drove everyone away, and it's my fault. I've given apathy to the world & received apathy in return. I see the blackest darkness in front of me. I can't take it anymore. I've prayed & prayed & haven't eaten in 2 days. I need direction so bad in my life. It took all my strength to not commit suicide & I am still really struggling. I've isolated myself & recieved isolation in return. Please pray for my soul, if you can.

Life is hard, there's no denying that Yet Jesus is Lord and is faithful. Trust him, love him and cry your heart out to him. He hears and feels your pain. I have had a VERY traumatic past it's been here a little and there a little. My journey to healing and wholeness in Christ takes time. I haven't instantly been made "right" so let me encourage you to hold on Listen to songs of praise, Akathist, keep the Bible on repeat. Pray the Jesus prayer and cry your heart out in repentance asking God to fill you with his mercy and peace. The enemy will try to sway you. Stay focused on Christ Jesus. Love u sis😘

Or if it's like my case, mostly mental and thinking, praying, reading words of Saints or reminders of God's mercy and love can help you brother. Frankly though, there's one thing I struggle to repent,as I'm constantly doing it. That is not being a friend to this world. But I took it too far. Whenever I'm reminded how they brainwash children and people away from God and turn this society into a degenerate one... It sparks my wrath against those responsible. If some are already on the way to hell, the devil doesn't have to work very hard to keep them going, but only to keep them from hearing the warning that they need the gospel. It's the saints who really get the focus of his attacks, so that they might fail enough to despair and lose faith.
it's crazy isn't it, hearing this perspective and then when you look over at the new age spiritual perspective where people are talking about astral travelling, spirit guides, channelled messages and all that sort of thing, you sort of step back and it makes you question everything. i have noticed the increase of 'from new age to christian testimonies' the last few year's, it's like there's this extra discernment and many people are feeling it.

Pride was the thing he got me with in very young age. To be more “beautiful” than others, more intelligent…I was blindly following him for decades. And he still tries it with pride, but I catch myself when the ego feels superior 🙏🏼 it’s tough and comes in unexpected moments. My life is truly not my own I'm either submitted to our Lord Jesus Christ. Or I'm ruled by his opposite my sin life. I can only go so far I believe in my earthly achievements. For I am knocked down and put on my knees. I messed up a couple days ago and did a couple of lines of meth. My shame and depravity has brought me back to my knees again. And you're right I was looking for a place to escape. But that place was under those chains. I get so confused, trying to find desire in an empty cup.
I confess that I suffer greatly from the destruction of pride and am in constant conflict with lust and other sins. I am not Orthodox but I pray God give me mercy for my sins, and wisdom and strength to win my battles with sin. I hope for peace in the world and that anyone who reads this have peace and freedom from sin.

I’m starting to realize that wrestling with God daily may not be such a bad thing. I’ve been agonizing over intrusive thoughts, nightmares, doubts and worries as I return to Christianity. But maybe it’s good to worry if I’m good enough. Every day I struggle with wondering if I’m doing a good job for God, but maybe that’s how we are supposed to look at it. We are imperfect sinners and because of that struggle daily, once we think we are in Gods grace, that’s when pride pulls you back out. Maybe my intrusive thoughts and nightmares are Gods way of reminding me that I am an imperfect sinner and I need him daily.
Me and kids where charismated to a Orthodox church just few days ago and woah what times started in that evening. Devil also trying to whisper ”did you really do a right decicion” Husband also left but I said it was about the time. 🙌🏻☦️

That is why originally, and even today, people flee/fled to the desert, and became monks, "to vomit" out their inner phantom twin, double, thy impostor, the doubter. However, instead of becoming free of it, many became/become "dangerously bound to this impostor, phantom - whom is precisely the one that dictates the pseudoascetisism and the contemplative posturing of the misfits" (Father Louis Merton, 1966).

The last saying by St John of the Ladder is so very true and shows how difficult and permanent is the struggle, indeed how hard it is for us to be humble ! To man this is impossible, but to God everything is possible.

My life is truly not my own I'm either submitted to our Lord Jesus Christ. Or I'm ruled by his opposite my sin life. I can only go so far I believe in my earthly achievements. For I am knocked down and put on my knees. I messed up a couple days ago and did a couple of lines of meth. My shame and depravity has brought me back to my knees again. And you're right I was looking for a place to escape. But that place was under those chains. I get so confused, trying to find desire in an empty cup.
I confess that I suffer greatly from the destruction of pride and am in constant conflict with lust and other sins. I am not Orthodox but I pray God give me mercy for my sins, and wisdom and strength to win my battles with sin. I hope for peace in the world and that anyone who reads this have peace and freedom from sin.

Thank you father for the truth. Thank you God, for my life and all that comes with it.
I’m starting to realize that wrestling with God daily may not be such a bad thing. I’ve been agonizing over intrusive thoughts, nightmares, doubts and worries as I return to Christianity.
But maybe it’s good to worry if I’m good enough. Every day I struggle with wondering if I’m doing a good job for God, but maybe that’s how we are supposed to look at it.
We are imperfect sinners and because of that struggle daily, once we think we are in Gods grace, that’s when pride pulls you back out.
Maybe my intrusive thoughts and nightmares are Gods way of reminding me that I am an imperfect sinner and I need him daily.
