An eight-year-old boy could not hold back his happy tears when he opened the front door of his family home to discover his "brother" best friend, who had previously moved states but returned to surprise him. As soon as Coleman saw the familiar face of Grayson Kauffman, 10, who he considers to be like an older brother to him, he immediately welled up and went in for a much-needed hug. The pair were previously "inseparable," their parents said, as Grayson's mom Kourtney and Coleman's mom Jess were best friends when they both lived in the same town of Hanover, Pennsylvania. When Kourtney moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the summer the move was tough on the Coleman and Grayson. Later in the year, Kourtney and Grayson were set to return to Pennsylvania on the anniversary of her father's passing, and so Kourtney decided to reach out to Jess to help set up a surprise for Coleman. On November 23, Grayson walked towards his friend's home, with his mother ready to capture the big surprise on video.

Meh I swear parents never try anymore for things like that. Certainly this sort of thing was unheard of to me as a kid and definitely now. Every time my friends moved away we never heard from any of them ever again.

@@adaharrisonn for real and I honestly never really missed them as I made new friends. Several kids I was friends with we grew apart with age. You can see the other kid doesn’t feel the same way as the kid in the house. In fact it seems a little awkward to him. This is just mommy emotion stuff.

The difference is, the friend arriving ALready knOWS he's about to see his Best Friend, he was not suddenly confronted with the magnitude of the moment.
The friend answering the door is therefore the one legitimately overwhelmed.

This is how me and my childhood best friend were every single time we saw each other. We grew up together as kids and he moved to Florida after school and we didn't see each other much. He passed away in 2018 from Leukemiea, and I miss his laugh and smile everyday. You will forever be remembered and missed my friend. RIP Joseph Nottingham. I love you man

Thank you for sharing . About 40 + years ago this happen to me . I was about 11 when my best friend moved from the Uk to Australia. We wrote but in them days it took forever . Then about 18 months later there was a knock on the door 🌞😀💓. They had moved back but not in the local area and she had to go to a different school but I did see her occasionally. But I remember that day so well 😀😀😀💛🤍🇬🇧

@@1erinjames We were bestfriends since 10. Then we were caught up with our busy lives as adult. One night we planned to have a night out just catching time together.. i just had to back out the last minute and he went out alone. Early the next morning he was found murdered. I was so heartbroken, he even was to be my bestman on my wedding the following month. Up to now the pain remains and i think there's no way i'd get over it.

I don't ever mind to see a man cry, but I have to admit that my ex-friend is in his late 50s and he cries at the drop of a hat about everything and he is a heterosexual man. That drove me crazy! I felt more of man than him and I am a woman! He said his ex-wife left him and I wonder if it is for that reason.
He'll make a great WIFE one day. Women need a strong masculine man not a pansy cry baby. That's her role, not his. It's ok for men to cry but they are better off doing it in private and by themselves, not in front of their woman. They must remain strong at all times as a protector and never show weakness

Usually the kid who stays behind suffers more than the one who moves, I have seen a few other cases like this, including one close to my family, where the reactions were exactly the same as in this video when they reunited again.

Also the kid in the cap expected it and the other didn’t so it was his initial reaction. Who knows what the cap kid’s initial reaction was. Also, he must really care considering he’s even there to surprise his friend. Basic logic.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL..!!!! Hope they stay Cool and all that until a old age.
Not to make anything about Myself, lol, BUT, haha, I had a many "best" friends at or around this age, we stayed friends forever , until they all died, which most of them died when we were in our Early to mid twenties.... Opiate overdoses, and suicide mainly, but a few died from withdraws. None of them were ever tweekers or "junkies", just literally hooked on Opiates.. it's really sad.! Especially because a few died in county jails, being incarcerated for simple possession. And the people working the jails thought they were being dramatic or bull syting etc, they weren't. They were severely dehydrated and had hypertension level 4 and been up awake sick as anything for over a week or two, or three in one case. No one cares about your health in jail. Why would they! ????? That's how they think, why would we!¡!!!!!¡!!!
Oh, and the ones who killed themselves, which was two of my best friends/neighbors/classmates/teammates/co workers at our firsts jobs etc. They killed themselves after coming home from the middle east, both were in US Marines, infantry men, and had to go take over and GAURD poppy fields in the middle east..
Yeah!!! America!!! Good ol USA, sweet. First people they ever blew tops off of were all over, basically, Poppy fields, murdered people for the USA government...
HEROIN/ opiates, yeahhhh. Listen young ones, stay away from drugs as much as u can, and don't join a gang such as the US military or blue line thugs, they'll make u murder or kid nap, innocent people you don't want too, all for profit....

Hrs a kid..might be more emotion than he expected from his buddy.
He might have felt a bit awkward about it, or just surprised that his friend missed him so much. He was smiling so I think that's what it was. Also, if he was the one being surprised, he may have been more emotional instead of being prepared for it.
