This is so uncomfortable. You can tell John Goodman is not happy. This was Roseanne’s legacy... There is no Roseanne with out ROSEANNE. I have zero interest in watching this, and it makes me regret them ever reviving the show only to destroy it.

I didn't see it, don't get me wrong I love him, Because he was like a model a strong husband should be, but what he said to the question about what would he say to the people who don't want to watch the show, he said, that it doesn't cost nothing, he didn't seem heartbroken to me, I've always said and I will always say, I stand by 🌹 ANNE and I love her so much and I will never watch the Conners, because it's like stabbing her in her in the back more than her cast members did, shame on THEM!!!!
Nas'eera Nieves He could insult the show or he would have gotten fired making Roseanne’s sacrifice meaningless as he’s the only one that hasn’t stabbed her in the back. I can tell that he thought of something that wasn’t going to get him fired but saying that “watching is free, won’t cost you nothing” was a way of showing how much he misses his partner in crime. He’s said he knows for a fact that she isn’t racist unlike the other cast members that wouldn’t have a career without her. I’m out near her home in Hawaii right now & would give anything to tell her that by taking her out they lost the heart & brains of that show!
If you notice The dark haired backstabbed didn’t want to let him sing her praises, she’s the producer now & I can hardly wait for this to be canceled! Roseanne created an amazing body of work with her old show that my family will only watch reruns!

My condolences on your mother, I lost my mom a while back & I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t miss her. Roseanne made that girl & went out of her way to make sure she could attend college while still filming, so ungrateful. Roseanne tweeted that she was OK with them doing a show without her, in the immediate days of her firing. She said she didn't want the to lose work. Now she's changed her tune, but that's OK.

Roseanne chose to value her sharing her own opinion, via a professional platform than the careers of hundreds of people.
She was the face of the brand, she had a responsibility to everyone working on that show. She decided that she, one person was more important.
TV shows and movies are not made from a group of people, sitting in a room and throwing pixie dust in the air. The networks/companies spend millions of dollars on research and outreach: they watch their numbers and act accordingly. They know week my week, if a character or storyline isn’t working and they act on it - that is the job.
I don’t believe that Roseanne is fundamentally racist, I think she said something racist and was enormously foolish to do so, using her profession platform. We now lose her talent BUT she chose to do this. The network have looked at the enormous bad feeling that has been levelled at them and they acted accordingly. It might not work, if coutse but all this silliness about how terrible and shameful the network is, that’s nonsense. This is business.
If Roseanne was the president of a drinks company and she become toxic for business, overnight because of a foolish public mistake then she would be fired. It’s no different,

I saw the first episode only, just to see how it was handled without her. Nope, I won't watch it again. It's not the same without Roseanne. I have yet to see any of her fellow actors say any good things about Roseanne & how that show made their careers. (except for Goodman, already successful) All over one stupid tweet which she apologized for more than once. I've seen other comedians say much worse.

@@bigred8432 problably the one where every black comedian has jokes about white people, but when a right winged white woman makes a joke (which was by far not racist in comparison to white jokes) it's taken to the point that a show is destroyed along with a woman's career. Everytime I read that tweet, I just laugh and think about how solid the backbone of this country used to be. The crybaby routine has gotten old and it's about to backfire on the people who support this type of white shaming. People just don't realize the patience that has been put into this modern day outspoken hate towards white people. The constant reminders of a world that was left behind many years before the ones who are being attacked today were even born. This is the double standard. This isn't about equal rights, because equal rights have been there since the Jim Crow era died. This is an attempt to overthrow the white race, by means of the power in politics. And force upon them the same hardships the black people of this country once felt with. But the problem in that is the fact that it is an attack on people who had nothing to do with the past. You see, bringing equality to all the people of this country has been a long battle. And it has stained our countries image to the point that it's easy to convince any person of color, religion, or nationality that a white person is evil. But understand that it has always been us fighting for those freedoms. Yes, there has always and will always be the ones who are bigoted racist. This is a trait that a percentage of all races carry. But freedom wasn't won simply by the black man. It's started in the Congress of white people. White people who seen what was going on, who seen people of color to be equal to themselves. It was our votes that led to the illegalization of slavery, which led to the separation of this country, which led to the civil war to reunite this country, and thus eventually the freeing of slaves. The was done by passionate white people who knew that what this country was doing was wrong. Nothing happens over night. That is why I will say that this country has always been great, we just weren't perfect. But we fought, stood beside the people who were enslaved and demanded their freedom. And the years that followed tell the exact same story. We backed people like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and ensured that they have a place to speak and let their voices be herd. It was a long fight to get here, but the black community has made it. And now we face another challenge. And that is the repercussions of the actions of our ancestors. The ones who didn't fight for the rights of the black community. But it doesn't have to be like this, understanding, and coexistence isn't out of sight yet. It's there, you just have to want it.
Now I'm sure many will not agree with what I've said here, and even poke holes in my words. But to me, that only shows the ignorance and lies that has been spread to those who just don't get it.

Canadian here. Watched the Conner's and it is so much better without Roseanne. Roseanne was a terrible actress and it's so much better with the focus on people who actually know how to act. Laurie Metcalf is hilarious.

I've seen compassion from Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, and especially John Goodman. I haven't seen Sara Gilbert show any compassion from the start regarding Roseanne getting fired, and that's a little scary to me. Is it because Roseanne is a Trump supporter? I have to say, I don't agree with Roseanne's politics, but I've still been supportive of her the whole way through. Even at the start of the reboot when people were against this show because of Roseanne's support for Trump. It's a shame when people's politics divide each other that much. If we can't find a middle ground, then we're going backwards, not forwards.
I love John Goodman. I know he was not happy how the whole situation with Roseanne was handled. As far as Sara Gilbert, I feel she had no problem turning her back on Roseanne Barr. John himself said that Roseanne is not a racist. I will not be watching. Roseanne was a Trump supporter in real life and no apologies would make up for that in the liberal directed show. If Roseanne were liberal she would have gotten some 'twitter' backlash and then forgiven, such as Better Midler, Kelly Osbourne, Bill Maher and other liberals who have said worse. If the show doesn't succeed it's because all plays out in the Universe. You don't crucify a human being, who was your castmate, your mentor, your friend, who also apologized like that. If it does succeed then the person that I am truly happy for is John Goodman and that's about it.

Roseanne chose to value her sharing her own opinion, via a professional platform than the careers of hundreds of people.
She was the face of the brand, she had a responsibility to everyone working on that show. She decided that she, one person was more important. She decided to stab the hundreds of people who work on this show in the back, by endangering their livelihoods.
TV shows and movies are not made from a group of people, sitting in a room and throwing pixie dust in the air. The networks/companies spend millions of dollars on research and outreach: they watch their numbers and act accordingly. They know week my week, if a character or storyline isn’t working and they act on it - that is the job.
I don’t believe that Roseanne is fundamentally racist, I think she said something racist and was enormously foolish to do so, using her profession platform. We now lose her talent BUT she chose to do this. The network have looked at the enormous bad feeling that has been levelled at them and they acted accordingly. It might not work, if coutse but all this silliness about how terrible and shameful the network is, that’s nonsense. This is business.
If Roseanne was the president of a drinks company and she become toxic for business, overnight because of a foolish public mistake then she would be fired. It’s no different,

Patty Morton ,Actually, the revival of Rosanne sucked. Like most Americans, I watched the premiere and never watched another episode. Premiered at 40+ million then fell to around 10.

Those years growing up as a kid watching this show brings back memories when there was no phones and social media. All we had was great tv shows like this and other great shows tooo..
Should of never brought it back the past is the past good memories.
