    This is my dream watch. Wearable size with a movement that was designed to be a skeleton movement from the ground up, not just a skeletonized version of a regular movement.

    I have owned the 41.5 mm version of the Nebula for more than 2 years now and I am still incredibly fascinated by it.

      How's the lug to lug length of 41mm?

    • @user-wi9nn6dz8w
      @user-wi9nn6dz8w 2 года назад

      @@hangwork7377 around 47mm which means it is wearable on pretty much any size of wrist. They have now also introduced a steel bracelet for the 41.

    Not enough haute horology pieces in actually wearbale sizes, and non-precious metals. Very cool

    Just added one to my collection and I'm absolutely chuffed with it. Amazing workmanship from an amazing company. A pity they didn't individually number them but I can live with that!

    This is hands down one of the best watches you can buy for that amount of money! I mean it's crazy that you can get such an incredible watch just for the price of a Rolex Submariner. I was never into Arnold & Son but the watch ticks all my boxes: Great wearable size and thanks to the awesome skeletonized movement an unique look & feel that makes the watch look 5 times more expensive than it actually is! And I do not mean that in a gaudy way to just flex with such a piece but with this you're getting really high horology for a mass-produced luxury watch price.

    I think this is my favorite A&S so far! It’s the perfect size for a modern day dress watch too. And while usually I’m not much into open-worked or skeletonized dials, I really like this one. It reminds me of Breguet’s Tradition line somewhat in its design layout. The only thing I would change is make the hour/minute/seconds hands out of blued steel for better contrast against the complex backdrop of the movement. Rather than the polished white metal ones used here. But that’s just a minor gripe. And maybe A&S deliberately did the hands that way, so as to not distract from that beautiful movement in the first place? Oh I just found out about a limited edition version of this watch in 50 pieces from 2019, made out of red gold rather than steel. That’s really nice as well 😁👍

      This is also a 50 piece limited edition in steel. The hands would look a bit odd if blued in my opinion, polished is just fine although perhaps having one half of the hands brushed or satinated like VC does wouldhave been a nice contrast. However I'm getting used to them as I have been wearing mine almost daily since getting it a week ago.

    Best A&S piece in my opinion. It's rare to have such an interesting haute watch in a non-obnoxious size and colors.

    Incredibley well-timed review, Tim! I am currently considering one of these. Also in the running is the PanoInverse and the new GP Free Bridge (though the latter may be too big).

    This watch reminds me of a drawing I did as a kid. Worked on it for days and was really proud of it. When I was done I took it and gave it to my parents and they said "show us when its finished". Ouch.
    This piece is great, only complaint are the small indexes.

    Educate me please. I’ve got a Seiko SARB035 that has a raised area on the lugs with a brushed finish similar to this watch. Obviously the brushing and transition between finishes is far superior on the A&S watch. I’m just wondering how difficult the process is when I have it on a £300 watch. Obviously I’m not stating that there is a comparison in quality, I’m just wondering how Seiko can charge so little for what Tim says is a very difficult process. I’d appreciate helpful advice. Thanks.

      the seiko has a brushed top with a polished bevel, it doesn't have the same 'double lipped' lugs that the a and h has.
      to get the compound curves and sharp creases exhibited here, a large degree of highly skilled hand finishing has to be employed. the seiko is just a polished blank and then is put up against a brushing tool to finish the top of the lugs

      by no means am i insulting seiko, the sp143 is my favourite watch i own at the moment hope this has helped

      @@AriesUmbra thank you for the helpful and respectful feedback.
      Agreed with the SPB143, I think Seiko hit a home run with that one last year. Not tried it on myself but if I do I may pick one up (I refuse to order Seiko online anymore due to misalignment issues).

    • @AriesUmbra
      @AriesUmbra 3 года назад +1

      @@nkonig1 i ordered online and had a well aligned and accurate watch (runs about +2 to +5 seconds a day) .i appreciate that they are not regulated and i may have gotten lucky but it has exeeded my expectations not only in accuracy but more importantly in fit and finish. the bracelet is good and the case finishing in particular exceeds a watch of this price.
