    If you have/find old roofing or siding that look just like this DO NOT cut it up, especially with a grinder. These are almost certainly transite panels, which are asbestos. They are usually about 1/4 inch thick and pretty hard, they almost seem like concrete. They are pretty harmless until you start cutting them up and sending that asbestos dust all over the place.

      Yeah I grew up playing with that stuff in the back yard, it softens up if kept wet a while, and then can be broken up by hand, even by a young kid. I guess the fact it was mostly wet saved me.

    Those look like asbestos-cement - dangerous stuff! The mask he is wearing is useless, and wearing flip-flops isn't going to protect his feet.

      Yes, if he wasn't outside in a breeze. 99.9% of that was blown away a dispersed relatively safely. If he were indoor, it would be MUCH more risky. Looks like he got pretty lucky.
