I installed a spoiler using 3M double stick tape instead of drilling. I'm very happy with the result. It seems the original spoiler was in place using double side tape as well. Still firm a year later.
Hey man i have potentially a really stupid question, but.. im gonna ask anyway. I love the look of the wing but im not really a fan of the bottom part thats sticking out beyond the trunk of the car. Is it possible to remove that bottom half and take just the top part of the wing and install it?
Since your drilled holes in the side portion of the trunk, is it possible for water to get inside through the bolts or the hole you cut out and stay trapped inside?
Could you just have used double sticky side tape for the install that most spoilers that go the length of the trunk use? Or do you think drilling is a must?
@@Rightfootdown Thanks. I would think betalink would easily have held that down. The adhesive is permanent when it comes down to holding spoilers on - so it's irreversible - but so is drilling at that point in some regards. Removing betalink would ruin the paint though instead of leaving holes.

There is a rubber seal around the drilled holes so water stays out.

Could have, but it likely wouldn't have hung on at speed
