I've been doing photogrammetry with meshroom. I have used my phones camera and my dslr. Both have there pros and cons. I do all the cleanup work in blender. Its pretty cool. Its really nice for building large spaces too. All that detail that would otherwise be very hard and or time consuming to model by hand, you get for free with this method. ian hubert is the person who got me excited for photogrammetry. He is a film maker as well, and he really showcased how you can use this to build out a scene quickly and effectively. Then on top of that, u can do all the greenscreen work of putting your actors into that scene.
I used to use this giant Faro LS 1500 or such for that.. Expensive (think a car) heavy AF and lot’s of prep with those white balls you had to place… 15 years later… your phone does the same 😁😁😁😁

I'm always skeptical of app based 3D scanners. I've tried many and none have given good quality results. Better to just take the pictures then do the processing in Reality Capture on a PC.

I am having difficulties finding what I'm looking for since these shows use fake nails, hair, teeth, skin, and added effects such as growth transitions for the fangs, facial hair, and glowing eyes. I can't seem to figure out how to recreate these effects myself at home. I was wondering if you could maybe make a video on how you would create each effect. I'd love to see what your take is on supernatural films and series.
