Thanks for your very kind comment. I agree it really is hypnotic and soothing watching the ocean. I think it fascinates us because it's a visible and tangible expression of natures energy and power. To see huge masses of water lifted and tossed around as if it's weightless reminds us how awesome the mechanisms are that cause our world to function so perfectly. I'm really glad you are enjoying my channel. :)
I have played this every night the past 2 weeks while nursing my sweet daughter. It makes our bedtime routine so much more enjoyable! It helps her relax. Once she's asleep I sit and watch for a while to unwind before I lay her down in her crib. Thank you for this video!
Hi +Ashlie Sherwin. Wow, that's great! It makes me so happy to get feedback like this. :) Thanks so much for your comment. Our daughter is 6 now and LOVES the ocean as well. I wish you and yours all the best.
+Emma Bidwell thanks so much for your kind feedback. I'm so glad you enjoyed my video so much! I agree, there's nothing like watching the ocean to lift the spirits. :) Hope you enjoy exploring my channel further.
I could not imagine there was a video so beautiful like this !! I will use it especially for sleep .. Thanks for share!!.. I'm very grateful to you !..
Brings such happy feelings and peace while there is so MUCH ice and snow Thanks for posting this because even though i can't get to this beautiful ocean that I love so much I feel really by listening and watching that I am there THANKS!! just need to smell that salty ocean air!!!
2027SpcOdyssey KJ2 It's great hearing from people like you who love the ocean and nature as much as I do, and to know that my videos bring them happiness. Thanks for letting me know... now just have to figure out how to get you that salty ocean air. :)
+Parker Sanderson thanks, yep Africa has a lot of great wild places to experience. I plan to explore further around South Africa (especially the coast but also some great mountain and desert wilderness areas) and further into Africa in the years to come and will upload scenes for everyone to share in on this channel. If you enjoy this kind of thing, then be sure to subscribe so you can be notified when I upload new vids. :)
+Patricia, we have many nice rocky cliff-beaches along the coast of Washington, and it is much like this. When there's a storm, the waves really boom against the cliffs. Magnificent!
Thanks for this. I use to live in California and enjoyed the surf. Now I live in a far inland State and never get to see the ocean any more. I listen to this while I work and it helps me on my most difficult days. THANK YOU!
Sounds right to me I love the beach and the ocean mostly because the air around me is salty and relax my entire body I do deserve the full effect of salty air so I sleep most days at the beach but this is still very beautiful
You have a tremendous talent for filming such wonderful images of nature. Although nature herself presents such beautiful templates, you have the skills to pick just the right camera angles and such. You’re a great artist!
shtregerT16 Untamed nature is so inspiring, I agree! I wish there were more wild coastal areas without development or at least more sensitive development with conservation as priority! Really glad this area is part of a Biosphere reserve and enjoys excellent protection. So happy you and many others are enjoying my videos. I like to call them 'living landscapes' :) Where did you stay when you were in Cape Town?
+Aaron Henderson thanks so much for your kind feedback. Really glad you like my video... I also love this one for relaxing. Nothing like ocean sounds to calm and soothe the nerves. :)
This is a wonderful video to watch and listen too. It is my favorite out of all. I have serious insomnia problems and actually have not seen the whole thing. Please if you can, make more with the big waves crashing against the rocks. The ocean is beautiful, powerful and yet calming at the same time. You are so lucky be able to see God's creations in person. Many of us have to settle with just watching the videos. Keep the videos coming!!
+Darlene Faraj wow, glad it helps so nicely with your insomnia. There's something so soothing about watching the ocean... even scenes like this with large waves I agree. I will definitely film more big wave scenes... Unfortunately the big wave days always seem to be during work time. :( I will certainly film more though as soon as I have an opportunity. There's a great spot where I intend filming next time there is big swell, but it has to bee big enough to make it worthwhile... at least 15 foot. I also love seeing the power of the ocean demonstrated by large waves crashing on rocks. Will keep em coming. :)
So amazing!!! I love the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks. For me it’s soul cleansing, and relaxing. It feels like I’m sitting right there Thank you so much for making these videos available to all. It’s a great blessing. God bless you richly.
As I travelled along the shore of the sea, feeling the cool salty breeze blow against by hair and face, I noticed how, to my left, the ocean was particularly rough today. I watched with great admiration how the roaring white waves raced gallantly towards the shore, like a herd of galloping horses, tossing their foamy manes and pounding their thunderous hooves upon the ocean soil. Before they came crashing down upon the shore with an almighty boom, breaking upon the numerous rocks and outcrops, only to reform some metres away, and charge once more onto the horizon, the world as their racing ground and the sands of time as their only true master.
If I am not mistaken, this is Ventura, CA? I grew up on Faria Beach and have left my whole soul in these waters. My fathers ashes are spread in these waters. I cannot express my joy in this video. Thank you.
Hi Francesca. Many people have told me this video reminds them of the Californian coast. I wish I could tell you it's filmed there, but it's actually filmed on the Western Cape coast of South Africa. Our climate is very similar to California and many of our landscapes have similar qualities. I hope that that doesn't ruin the video for you... It's nice to know that the oceans are all one water and that even the smallest ripple sent on it's way from either shore will eventually release it's energy on the other.
+Peaceful Scenes How gorgeous! And how interesting that they are so similar, this looks identical to a small stretch between Ventura, CA & Santa Barbara, CA. I wouldn't mind switching places with you for a bit! ;) And yes, that is the best part, that it is all one big rumbling connection & life source. Thanks a again for the video, it is nothing less than lovely. Have a great day!
Thank you for such an amazing video +Peaceful Scenes! How wonderful it must be to be able to go to a place like this and be a part of it! I don't think I'd ever be able to leave! Being near the ocean, seeing this ebb and flow and hearing the pulse of the planet lures and hypnotizes like nothing else I've ever known. It's such a powerful primal draw to the very depths of the human soul.
+Mo BounceBaby (MoMo). Thanks for your kind comment. Yes, I really am fortunate to live so close to the ocean (and mountains) and love being able to share these scenes with people who appreciate them. That's what I love most about this project... sharing my experience of observing nature as it really is with those who either can't or can't get enough. :)
+Eff Taroza thanks and it's a pleasure to grow this channel when I know people are enjoying the scenes! The waves were great that day. Glad you enjoyed the video! I've added a few scenes recently that you might like too. The waves weren't as big as these but nice all the same. Thanks again for your feedback.
MzJust1girl Thanks, I'm glad you like it so much! I agree with you on keeping the scenes natural... I made the mistake of adding music to my first upload but quickly realized that it spoiled it. Oops... but in my defense there was a lot of wind noise and I wanted to salvage the video. I will be uploading more nature scenes soon so check back in a week or so. :)
Your video has been my best friend when it's come to getting my fussy 5 week old (almost 6) to sleep. Thank you! Sincerely, A-Not-As-Sleepy-Sleep-Deprived-First-Time-Mama
+Grace Trinh that's awesome! Our daughter is now 7 but I remember how tiring it can be especially when you're getting used to everything and stressing out over every little sniff and gurgle. I wish you all the best and I hope my video continues to calm your little one. :)
And by the way AWESOME vid. I keep laptop near me and actually woke up the other morning with my HEAD on it while this was playing. It was an accident, but I sure must have been enjoying it in my sleep!
+Mark Harmon thanks so much for the kind comment. I laughed when I read it... great compliment that your subconscious mind still enjoyed the video. As long as there's no drooling into the keyboard should be fine... with my luck that would happen to me. Can you imagine explaining that at the repair shop? :)

The motion of the ocean water has something hypnotic about it. You have captured it very well. I think you are in tune with Nature. God bless.

the sun went down
