I really like this scene. Andrew is a hell of an actor. Although I’m happy they took it out. Having his father be somehow alive after being in a plane that fell from the sky would seem unbelievable
There was a Soviet stewardess who was the only survivor of an airplane crash without a parachute. So it's not something impossible. Especially in a world where there are people with superpowers. Richard's not stupid and I think he could think of something quick to save himself.
Honestly my only issue of his portryal of his Peter Parker side is more of an attractive (no homo) fellow the the nerdy type. But his spiderman his perfect and his acting is topnotch overall
Would you consider yourself to be a good person? How many lies have you told, and what do you call someone who lies? Have you ever stolen something, and what do you call someone who steals? Have you ever taken God’s name in vain (very serious; in Old Testament times, the Jews wouldn’t even say the name of God for fear of blasphemy) - even ‘OMG’? One more: Jesus said whoever looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery in his heart; have you ever looked with lust? Well I’m not judging you - but if you’ve done these things then you’re a liar, thief, blasphemer and adulterer-at-heart; that’s how seriously God takes sin. He is Holy (perfectly good/righteous and separate from sin) which means that He is perfect in justice; that means that just like a just judge does sentence criminals to pay for the wrong they caused, do does God sentence the payment of all sins - and if He were to judge you by the moral law (we’ve already looked at 4 commandments) would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell? The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin And the just God will punish ALL sin. Is that concerning? But fortunately, God’s will is not that you perish. He wants all men everywhere to be saved. So do you know what He did for us guilty sinners? In self-giving mercy, He sent His Son Jesus Christ. He lived the perfect life that we should have lived - tempted at all points and yet He NEVER sinned. Through His life, being in very nature God, He revealed God to men; but we in our hatred condemned Him to death. On that cross as Jesus suffered, He took on the sin of the world and was judged in our place; receiving God’s wrath. You and I broke God’s law, but Jesus paid the fine. God can justly forgive us. On that cross He died, then He was buried, but 3 days later He was raised from the dead - conquering death and Hell and ushering in The Kingdom of God. He then ascended to the right hand of God the Father (where He came from) now Lord of the living and the dead. God has fixed a date when He will judge the world in righteousness. What you need to do is repent (In humility, acknowledge your sin before God and turn to a relationship with Him) and trust ALONE in Jesus Christ and His work on the cross; and God will grant you the gift of the Holy Spirit. Then be baptised. Jesus' perfect righteousness will be accredited to you and you can stand in a relationship with the God of the Universe, a Father. If you repent and believe the gospel. ROMANS 10:9 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved
I LOVE Andrew Garfield’s acting so freaking much 💛 Especially when his voice starts to break and then he screams at Richard in so much pain, it literally broke my heart 💔
I will always feel so bad for Andrew. He was a great Spider-Man/Peter Parker, and he deserved to play the role for much longer. Fingers crossed for him being in NWH. He deserves it.
@@cowwithrandomthoughts2503 well if u take into consideration the complete arc of Tony stark from Iron man 1 to endgame, from a selfish billionaire to selfless genius, this quote has a lot of impact, I can't say more than that of spiderman but it is as impactful as that
After watching no way home , I felt that Andrew was the happiest one of the 3 to come back as spider-man . I could see the great energy and enthusiasm he had to put a satisfying end to his role as spiderman This is my opinion
Agreed. TOBEY got check and gave fans what they wanted but Andrew truly enjoyed it and depending on the plot of dr Strange 2 Andrew may get 2nd chance and will be meeting Tom Hardy's Venom
This was one of those scenes to amazing Spider-Man 2 that shouldn't have been deleted, I liked how Peter Parker was so upset and heartbreaking for everything he's been through with losing Gwen Stacy. This scene was so touching how Peter Parker was able to see his father at the end.
If you think about all three of the spidermen and their stories, Andrew was literally treated like the middle child. He lost uncle Ben, his parents, his girl, his best friend, couldn’t even get this scene to be fully added to the movie, and had it not been for NWH he probably would’ve never been seen as Spider-Man again. Ffs, he doesn’t even have a third movie like the other’s do😭
I think they will talk about it again soon. Last film im general opened a ton of doors. But it probably will never be. I agree tho. But Tom will get another to break the chain i think
That’s why the NWH “you’re not lame. You’re Amazing” I’m convinced was genuinely Tobey validating Andrew as being every bit as great as him. That wasn’t for Peter, that was for Andrew
It sucks The Amazing Spiderman is my fav out of all of em. Its the most accurate to the comics, and while I love Toms Spidey I just hate that they went overboard with his Iron Man relationship, Iron Man gives spidey the iron spidey suit in the comics but he isnt his dang daddy/. Also imo his on screen time with Emma was phenomenal and I think she was outstanding as Gwen Stacy her death scene was the only thing that made me cry in Marvel movies along with Endgame
Glad to see people finally giving Andrew's Spiderman the recognition he deserves and Ik it's kinda late, but guys can we make The Amazing Spiderman 3 happen? Let's do it!!!
I feel like they should have only kept this scene in the movie if it turned out that his father being alive was just Peter's imagination coming to terms with Gwen's death. Imagine how effective it would have been if after the "Great power..." line, his dad just faded away, leaving Peter alone on the bench. It would have been a great insight into his mind and how he coped with her death, rather than him just watching that cheesy speech and suddenly wanting to be Spider-Man again.
Admittedly the scene itself doesn’t make a lot of sense and raises a bunch of questions but it also has some really great acting from Andrew Garfield and it’s worth watching just for that
There was a theory that Peter's father didn't survive (ignoring the plane escape scene for it was just a deleted scenario), and that it was Chameleon who took the form of Peter's father (possibly old friends) to comfort Peter after Gwen's death. He said what Peter's father would say, and he's not wrong. Quite frankly, I would have accepted it as that.
Nah, its Canon that in some version of Spider-Man, his parents are Shield Agents or Oscorp scientists, they could've taken this second iteration a different way and really opened up the Amazing Spider-Man Lore. Dude has his own universe of characters and when he says the line in this clip, it makes sense because he knows truly what that means.
Idk it can still be Canon, just because his dad comes back doesn't mean he still didn't have a period of being a violent vigilante like he described is no way home, his dad could of actually been a reason of voice at some point if we ever got a 3rd movie
@@ZonnexNecton I actually like that idea. Start TASM 3 with the revelation that his dad is the Chameleon and turn him into a good guy not a villain to really throw fans off. Kinda like what they did for Sandman in the Raimi trilogy but better.
Man why did they delete this scene. This scene is so powerful. As a person who grew up with very litle time with a father, this really hit me hard. Wish this was in the actual movie
When you think about how STUFFED Amazing Spiderman 2 was, multiple villains who each have their own things going on, set for future movies, Gwen and Peter's relationship, Peter dealing with grief and his future and his guilt, etc. I think that something as big as THIS deserved it's own subplot in another movie where it had more space and time to get proper focus. My guess is that's what the film makers thought too and wanted to save it for a future movie. It's just unfortunate that the 3rd movie never came.
Everyone seems to not like Andrew. But I like him like the other spidermans and I'm so happy tobey and andrew are coming back for the next spiderman movie
This scene should have been in to be honest. Richard Parker showing up alive and delivering such a powerful scene with Peter would have been a good ending to the movie.
It still makes me sad that this is deleted. This scene alone could have almost saved the movie. It's Andrew's acting at its best, and it shows him in the grieving process instead of just cutting straight to his fight with rhino.
It’s very tacked on and raises more questions than answers. It’s also a bit of a stretch to think Richard survived that plane crash at the beginning and how he knew he’d find Peter at the cemetery at that specific time And also the whole “I had to hide to protect you” is a bit cliched
Andrew Garfield is an incredible actor he and Tom Holland know so well how to beat emotional at just the right time the crying the sobbing the tears the pain anger
@@RYMAN1321 I’d change a consistent story for a good one anytime of the week, I don’t really like some lines like the “I had to disappear to keep you safe” maybe rephrase it and the “stay away” also was a little bit inconsistent considering if he was truly in danger his spider sense would be enough but it was much much better to end with this. Also it does make sense story wise since Norman Osborn had just died so Richard was finally free to go back to Peter since the threat was gone
@@premshetty9834 my favorite overall is also Tobey, but Andrew is indeed a better actor and Tom is just great at being spiderman and Peter Parker, whilst Tobey was a great Peter Parker, and Andrew great at being spiderman
I have mixed feelings about this scene… On one hand I am sad that they deleted it because the acting and stuff is incredible, but on the other there is no way that Richard Parker should be alive after the plane crash.
I think the more probable cause for deletion is that Uncle Ben provided a much more loved iteration of Great Power comes Great Responsibility. Uncle Ben, quoting Richard Parker said to Peter, if you have the ability to do good things to other people, it is your moral obligation to do so. It's not a choice but a responsibility.
Who said he had to be “alive?” Gwen’s death could’ve been the final straw for Peter’s psyche, so this could’ve been him hallucinating or his brain making up illusions to cope with the stress of Gwen’s death
Hopefully Tobey and Andrew passes on the “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility” line to Tom’s Peter (Edit: Holy shit they actually did it! Aunt May said it first but Tobey and Andrew acknowledged it and linked it back to Uncle Ben. 🔥🔥)
Why this scene isn't in the movie is beyond me, Andrew killed it and is why he needs to have his TASM 3 fillmed and any other projects involving Spiderman
yh maybe andrew was amazing, but the guy playing the father did a fucking horrible job, how many times did he say; I had to dissappear to keep you safe
@@juanesteban3523 I would imagine he's saying it because he doesn't know what else to say. And its not his fault if you didn't like his lines. He didn't write them.
Things like this are what make Andrew such a good spiderman. I feel like people don’t like him because the movies were bad, but thats not his fault. Nothing bad about the movies was on him, he was superb. He made his own spiderman.
Exactly. From the moment I watched the first 'Amazing Spider-Man' film I was hooked on Andrew's performance. He conveys emotion, humour and charisma so well as both Peter and Spider-Man. He was the first on screen Spidey I watched that made me feel as if the comic character had jumped straight off of the pages. Even though the second Amazing Spider-Man film was convoluted in a rushed and unprepared sense; I'd still grin like a child whenever Andrew or Spidey was on screen - especially in the first 10 minutes of the second film.
I would have to disagree about bad. The first one. Imo and I am glad many others think it's good. I enjoyed the 2nd one even though it was disappointing.
Man I am crying 😭😭. The character development of Tom Holland's Spider-Man from living in Iron Man's shadow to living his life like the Spider-Man we all wanted him to be.
What do you mean? He CLEARLY isn't in it, and all the leaks are CLEARLY faked Edit: I'm being sarcastic, I just want everyone to know that. For as good of an actor Andrew is, he's really bad at hiding the fact he's in No Way Home
Even if Andrew is better now in terms of acting, I doubt his scene in No Way Home (if he's in there) would be long. Him and Tobey would probably just appear when Ironboy Jr. is in the verge of losing. The budget would increase if Andrew and Tobey gets more screentime
Imagine having this scene when he says "with great power comes great responsibility" right before Gwen's speech at the end of the movie. Andrew had such great potential if it wasn't for sony. I truly hope marvel does justice to his character at least one time and have him in No Way Home. He absolutely nailed this scene and also gwen's death. Update: Watched No Way Home and was in tears to see Andrew’s character getting the love he deserves. The Amazing Spider-man 3 is trending on twitter today :’)
WTF!? Why on EARTH would they cut this scene out of the film!? What was Sony THINKING!? This was brilliantly done and I love how Peter's father is the one who says the famous line this time instead of his uncle. The way he delivers the line is also very nicely done! In addition, it is also a very powerful moment in the film to see Peter actually reunited with his father. They should have kept this scene in the final cut of the movie.
If they remove Richard Parker and his mom die at the beginning and put this scene at the end, I definitely put it on very first top of my favorite movie list
Oddly enough, that line ended up coming up in “Elemental” Ember said through her tears “I can’t exist in a world without you!” Wonder if the writers got some influence
I had the pleasure of working on this film as a PA and an extra actor. Andrew was extraordinary to watch on set. A real Spidey fan. I was sad to see most of his emotional scenes cut from the final film. I hope one day Sony re-releases TAS films with the footage not shown. Not saying the writing was better, but Andrew’s iteration of the character deserves to be shown. He nailed it perfectly. As a Spidey fan myself, he is my favorite.

why is this comment so fucking accurate holy shit. and thats coming from me and i love these movies with my soul. even i can acknowledge what you said is spot on.
This is an Amazing Scene, it really shows what a great actor Andrew Garfield really is, this should completely replace Paul Giamatti, but the biggest flaw of this movie was the 60 different plots and here is another 1
Unknown all i know is that it was not because he was a bad actor, i think they might have had a fight or something and then they found up an excuse, but i dont work at Sony so i dont know And Sorry IF my english is unreadable
The way i see peter’s character development in tasm 1 is as followed: Peter was selfish, peter was an ass. But can you blame him? He lost his parents, had a pretty difficult childhood. But in that one day, he had so much happiness. He found his dad’s briefcase, got revenge on the bully, got the girl, did what he liked. In this case skateboarding. But pretty much like any teenager, he got punished for forgetting to pick up may. And then the happiest day in his life was turned into the worst. He is mad, frustrated. He wants revenge, he lets the criminals go because he is selfish. When captain stacy talks to peter about spider-man he begins to think “am i a villain?” But then comes the bridge scene. He has a choice, chase the lizard and be infamous and immediately be on the police’s good side. Or help reunite a kid with his father. Something peter has always wanted. He chooses to help the father reunite with his kid. And thats when he chooses to help others instead of himself. When he is in his room with the mask in front of him, he sees the mask in a new light. Not as a way of not getting recognized for your crimes, but as a symbol of hope.
@@elijahnash3807 not gonna lie I still have a hard time finishing out the movie because of this 😂😭. I always turn it off as she is falling because I then become temporarily depressed after the rest unfolds

Andrew's such an amazing actor that he made this dumbass concept of a scene not just tolerable, but wonderful to watch. He's one of the greatest of his generation.
This scene really should have been in the final cut. It ties everything so beautifully together, and it showcases why Andrew is still my favorite Peter Parker/Spider-Man. His acting here is flawless, and it captures the heart of what makes these movies... Amazing.
The Amazing Spider-man movies were actually pretty good, and Andrew Garfield will forever be my favorite Spider-man. He grew up reading Spider-man and really understands and loves the character!
This scene could have been amazing if they later revealed in the next movie that he was just imagining him because of all the trauma. Or it was Chameleon posing as Richard. They did show Chameleon in the post credits of the video game of this movie. And Chameleon is known for doing something like this.
Chameleon has no connection to these movies at all. Like no hints. And the games have nothing to do with the movies. In the first game rhino was a human mixed with a rhino. But when the second movie came around he was a tank so they kind of got screwed on that. That's just one example of how they're not connected.
@@Titanver they would have to totally set up a brand new character for The sinister six while setting up multiple other brand new characters for the sinister six. And you know how that went with Spider-Man 3. You know making brand new characters in the same movie... Sandman, Venom... I get what you're saying but the third movie would have made The amazing Spider-Man 2 look like a magnificent masterpiece because of how stuffed it would be. But I guess it would be fun.
Although these movies didn’t have the best writing, Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man in terms of acting and potential. The script really let him down. This scene and others like Gwen’s death and his interactions with the kid being bullied and Aunt May are all prime examples of Andrew’s fantastic acting abilities. Sony really failed this man…
It was sad when Gwen died, and it was a poetic justice to see him save Tom's MJ. Nearly cried, but didn't. But one hell of a movie. Amazing Spiderman needs a sequel.✌️
Who knows, we could get 3 because of No Way Home. I'm sure Andrew would be down to do it. Plus the characters get a sorta revival in No Way Home. I could definitely see Sony picking up after No Way Home Andrew arriving in his own universe again.
I absolutely love this scene, so powerful and heartfelt, just what Peter needed. But is no one else gonna notice that the music in the background is from Lord of The Rings
it was deleted because in the beginning it shows that peters parents died in a plane crash in the middle of the ocean so it wouldnt make sense to add in a part when he"disappears" for a while.so if the beginning was cut out then this scene would be perfect in this movie
+Row Danilov Honestly, they could have cut out, say, the rhino, or whatever the heck paul giomatti was doing, and like a hundred other subplots, and put this in.
It's a good scene but everything about it and the leadup plot to it completely misunderstood spiderman and his character It completely removes the relatability of the character and ruins the idea that anyone could be spiderman and replaces it with this dumb revelation that he was destined to be spiderman Which spiderman's character was never about
andrew’s performance here actually brought me to tears, especially when he hugged his dad and cried on his shoulder. it’s a shame they cut this along with many other scenes of importance.
This isn’t all that important, the whole parent subplot wasn’t all that interesting or brought up enough to warrant this scene being in the film. Not to mention it’s not accurate at all having his father be alive because I’m pretty sure in the comics his parents are either dead or status unknown

There was a Soviet stewardess who was the only survivor of an airplane crash without a parachute. So it's not something impossible. Especially in a world where there are people with superpowers.

The answer is hell - the wrath of God upon you for your sin
And the just God will punish ALL sin.

Ffs, he doesn’t even have a third movie like the other’s do😭
They were gonna make it but it got cancelled or something

Let's do it
I dun think anyone hated Andrew's performance. Many hated how TASM series was written. But every actor gave it their all.
That was the greatest thing I have ever heard, you're good
This highly emotional scene being all in his imagination would’ve been the biggest copout I’ve ever seen
In this case I would much rather it be uncle Ben rather than his father. 🤷🏻♂️
You are right .This scene could have been the best scene of this movie if Richard Parker was his imagination .
Couldn’t have said it any better
Absolutely criminal how they deleted this scene.
@@ZonnexNecton Or it is Peter's dream.

On one hand I am sad that they deleted it because the acting and stuff is incredible, but on the other there is no way that Richard Parker should be alive after the plane crash.
probably why they deleted it
I think the more probable cause for deletion is that Uncle Ben provided a much more loved iteration of Great Power comes Great Responsibility.
Uncle Ben, quoting Richard Parker said to Peter, if you have the ability to do good things to other people, it is your moral obligation to do so. It's not a choice but a responsibility.
But he could have survived though. There was literally a parachute the guy who was trying to kill him was gonna use before getting killed.
Who said he had to be “alive?” Gwen’s death could’ve been the final straw for Peter’s psyche, so this could’ve been him hallucinating or his brain making up illusions to cope with the stress of Gwen’s death
@@JadedParanoia i doubt that unless he was hugging thin air

Peter was selfish, peter was an ass.

I don't know if they could do this legally, but maybe just make Richard Parker into a LMD, like they did with Coulson for Agents of Shield
So it's not real?
Did anyone notice that the background music is from the lord of the rings? :D
you are literally the first one dude wow
this background music isn’t actually part of the deleted scene
when Frodo sail west to Valinor
Seven years!! It been seven years!
Holy f**k how did I not notice that
This is the most heartbreaking scene in Spider-Man history I’ll die on this hill
Sony really failed this man…
I actually enjoyed these movies more than Tobey’s
@@MovhisMocjaoa As do I. They’re personally my favorite
Yes
Honestly tho he’s got mad charisma
and Say what you want about these movies but 1 had the best Flash Thompson too lol
Andrew is the most successful actor out of the 3 stooges to play Spooder-Man.
Andrew probably could have won an oscar from how well he played in this scene
factss
L take
@@anza7522 ratio
bruh are u high or what?
What?
The Lord of the Rings music playing was a placeholder, just so everyone knows.
I THOUGHT I HEARD IT
I knew I wasn't the only one to hear it here and there!!!!
I FUCKING HEARD IT I WAS CONFUSED AF
I was waiting for the next part to kick in, lol
Yeah I started thinking maybe it just sounded really similar but couldn’t remember TASM having that time of music.
I will never understand why they are cutting the best scenes out of the Movies just like that
It was sad when Gwen died, and it was a poetic justice to see him save Tom's MJ. Nearly cried, but didn't. But one hell of a movie. Amazing Spiderman needs a sequel.✌️
Fuck a reboot just make a sequel
Fuck reboot, make it a complete trilogy
#MakeTASM3
WHY DID YOU SPOIL IT
I for sure cried when he saved MJ. I can just see him coming back and telling Gwen at her grave or on the tapes that he saved MJ
It was heart wrenching to see his face, wishing like crazy, that it was his Gwen in his arms.
I'm so angry and sad that we didn't get the third movie. it would have been AMAZING. as Tobey says to him, Andrew's Peter is amazing!
Who knows, we could get 3 because of No Way Home. I'm sure Andrew would be down to do it. Plus the characters get a sorta revival in No Way Home. I could definitely see Sony picking up after No Way Home Andrew arriving in his own universe again.
@@captainspencer7231 I wish! he's my favorite spidey.
A lot of noise coming out saying tasm 3 is coming
@@hippoboy9793 I don't think the rumors are true😔Andrew's 38 and the concept of spider-man is that he's a teenager.
@@tatiab6978 That's only at the beggining, Spiderman has been an adult more time than he has been a teen in the canon
I wish they kept this scene in :( So beautifully acted. Andrew deserves more scenes.
"I love you son"
...
You gotta say I love you back
I absolutely love this scene, so powerful and heartfelt, just what Peter needed.
But is no one else gonna notice that the music in the background is from Lord of The Rings
This.
I can hear it
Dude I noticed it and was just about to comment on it to see if anyone else had noticed it 😂
@@CuddleFish124 lol😂😂😂😂the beacons are lit gondor calls for aid
Oh mate, I thought it was only me, nice to see others noticing it
it was deleted because in the beginning it shows that peters parents died in a plane crash in the middle of the ocean so it wouldnt make sense to add in a part when he"disappears" for a while.so if the beginning was cut out then this scene would be perfect in this movie
There was another plane scene which was deleted which suggests he could have survived
Or maybe Peter Parker was just imagining him just like Peter Parker imagined Uncle Ben in Spiderman 2.
A scene for a scene
Chameleon?? Anyone or maybe Mysterio?
What a spectacular actor Andrew Garfield!
why did they delete this from the cut? this would have made the movie ratings higher lol
+Row Danilov Honestly, they could have cut out, say, the rhino, or whatever the heck paul giomatti was doing, and like a hundred other subplots, and put this in.
No lol
It's a good scene but everything about it and the leadup plot to it completely misunderstood spiderman and his character
It completely removes the relatability of the character and ruins the idea that anyone could be spiderman and replaces it with this dumb revelation that he was destined to be spiderman
Which spiderman's character was never about
You are a true motivator. Your words and actions always inspire others to move forward.
andrew’s performance here actually brought me to tears, especially when he hugged his dad and cried on his shoulder. it’s a shame they cut this along with many other scenes of importance.
This isn’t all that important, the whole parent subplot wasn’t all that interesting or brought up enough to warrant this scene being in the film.
Not to mention it’s not accurate at all having his father be alive because I’m pretty sure in the comics his parents are either dead or status unknown
This just proves that Andrew ‘s acting chops are FAR above anyone else’s. He gives his ALL.
This week on: Scenes that Should have been Kept in the Final Cut
This week on: IN ANOTHER REALITY
+FluffypurplepOp that is shit, i hated his parent's story
Peter Parker is the character who has been through the most pain

Dude this scene was incredible. I don’t know why It wasnt in the final film. It would’ve been a great payoff to the research he’s been doing about his parents
I mean it's fine, if only they will make another sequel. . . If not that doesn't change anything in this movie, both are still great.
Andrew deserves a third movie and a happy ending for his Peter, but we deserve to see the Webb cut for the second movie.
