  • More northern NJ school bus action as I set up for a morning run in one of our old warhorses, a 2010 IC CE200 with the much-despised Maxxforce 7 engine. This bus is one of a set of about 10 "stripper" buses in our fleet, with few features, as evidenced by all the blanks on the switch console - no midship heater, driver/windshield fans, heated mirrors, or driver's seat suspension, and of course no A/C or air ride. Camera placement gives you the best vantage point to see all the action in the driver's seat.

I really enjoy your channel! I love the buses and stuff. When you’re blind, buses are really nice. Especially when you’re here I’m driving! That makes me very, very, very happy!

I thought I heard the horn during the drive. Also, Who recorded the announcements at the end of the video? This sounded cool.

Those announcements come from the manufacturer of the Child Check Mate system in Ontario

I had one summer trip to the beach a couple years back... 98*F in the bus, in traffic on the Garden State Parkway. Not fun

My state buses in 80 degree weather is manageable especially if you are hydrated but anything above that temperature is horrible which it doesn’t go above that during the school year.

Bus driver in ga here. We just started getting a/c buses and now the are retro fitting our older bus. I think a few 2007 and up.

@@yitznewton correction: it rarely goes above 85 during August- September and from April-may still it is bearable to be on a bus in 85 degree weather.
