My wife hated my year long beard until I had to shave it a few days ago for work to take a ten minute test. She told me grow it back and doesn’t care how long I let it grow.
It's like they don't understand there's an evolutionary purpose for them to grow its not just random

@@Blinknone had to do a respirator fit test. My position I have at work is part of a program they have . Even though I have never and will never wear a respirator at work I had to take the test

I have finally grown a beard. I'm 49, and I love it. Men are supposed to grow beards! My wife hates it, and that makes me happy! I am never shaving it off!
Women are supposed to grow leg hair and armpit hair too

Women naturally grow armpit hair and leg hair, so to say that it isn't natural doesn't make any logical sense. It is natural for both men and women because we're all mammals. If men like to argue that growing a beard is natural and that women shouldn't have a preference then it can also easily be argued that armpit hair and leg hair is natural for women and men shouldn't have a preference if a woman shaves or not. Honestly, if someone has a preference for shaved or unshaved faces, we shouldn't be giving them a hard time about it. It's their own personal opinion or preference.

We men have beards. Society has programmed us to shave it of. It’s a shame really. Having a beard is our natural state. Our creators design, if you will.

While I get that, a lot of women have facial hair as well. This can be very noticeable when the hair is dark. Do you also agree that it's "Our creators design"? I think it's an unfair reasoning and a little outdated.

Reviewing male facial hair styles from the perspective of women is very interesting. Thank you for this video. I need more of these, it gives me confidence and encourages me to continue my journey in growing a beard.
The funny thing is: my mom doesn't like it and I keep promising her to go shave when she calls me on video but secretly, I keep putting off my promise until later...🤣

My wife really wasn’t a fan of beards or anything beyond some scruff. For the longest time, due to my job, I wasn’t able to even try to grow a beard because my job wouldn’t allow it. I actually didn’t even know if I could grow a decent beard. Then the rules changed…I haven’t shaved for around 2 years now and have a, what I’d guess to be a med length beard (approx 3”) and a large mustache. I’ve obviously trimmed and shaped the beard over the years and not let it go completely wild, but hey…my wife now loves it! She still says how surprised she is with how much she likes it on me and genuinely thinks I look better with it. Who knew haha! Thanks as always for the great content guys!
Men don’t grow beards for women. We do it for ourselves and other men.

Have to disagree. While I will try to avoid panting with a broad brush, in my personal experience, nearly every single one of my wife’s friends always go for manly men. The also all love beards. I have a fairly large beard and big mustache, like can’t see my lips at all and is long enough to handlebar and they love it.

I’ve never gotten so many compliments in my life haha. I used to compete in bodybuilding and would shave for my shows. My wife hated when the beard was gone

From my observation, most women don't seem to appreciate a long beard. Men appreciate a longer beard more because they know what's involved in growing it. Women seem to mostly just like the scruff look or a short, neatly groomed beard.

Such utter nonsensical opinions. As if a full beard equates "Too much", or "Unkempt." This video shows how opinions are subjective and inconsistent and therefore unimportant. The only ones that matter are of the beard wearer.
I think women in particular are very shallow when it comes to looks overall. Guy has to have dimples, his eyes, oh no that beard looks to long, his nose is out of proportion, his hair is all wrong. I mean where does it stop with what women want, and critique with a mans appearance. Let's do a skinny vs FAT woman comparison with men looking at photos. See how that goes over. Because you can say absolutely NOTHING about a woman's appearance without them flipping out. FACT.

I can testify that none of these women have drawn on brows, and actuallyare wearing little makeup...if referring to Rose, hers are naturally dark and strong.

Greg now this was a awesome great interesting video I really like the fact You had the Women of a certain age to give their honest opinion of a Photo of the same Man with Three different versions of Him a very low Beard, a Medium (Executive) Beard and a Full Beard this was beyond a amazing concept!!!

I like that you did one of theses with women NOT in their early 20s. As an almost fifty year old, I couldn’t care less what a 20 something woman thinks is attractive in a man. Thanks for doing this.
From memory, regardless of age, they all seemed to be rather in agreement with each other. I agreed with the general sentiments of all the women. I don't think gender plays much of a role here at all, either. Unless it's the kind of guy who is like "BIGGEST BEARD IS MOST MASCULINE AND THEREFORE BEST!". There will be more guys like that compared to women lol, but those women do exist. But those women generally actually prefer the look, whereas for a lot of these guys, it can quite often be more of a fragile masculinity, insecurity thing, rather than actually preferring how it looks.
The guy in the video has a nice gray beard, but now he needs to start working on getting those eyebrows under control!

When Kurt Russell played Santa Claus, I absolutely loved how his beard and mustache was styled. That messy look in the third picture I don't like at all.
Beard is the jewel of man. So actually having beard is very good. For me, its weird to see the man without a beard. So, if you have a beard don't shave off it whatever the situation.
Don't care what anyone says, Kurt Russel will ALWAYS look better with a full bushy beard than being clean shaven at his current age.

I can grow a nice executive beard i always had one when i was in my 20s, but now that i'm in my 40s i have more grey and they are hard to control and groom so i just go with the clean shave look

Greg's wife loves no facial hair and is married to a beard influencer. I adore long beards and the "Greek god" look, my older brothers rock it, but my husband is running bald and looks more handsome and young with a shaved face 🤣🤣🤣 that's life 🤷

Things confirms my own experience. Most women like an beard that isn't long, but more of month ols growth. I think it's because it defines the face, but isn't long enough that it's size takes away attention from the eyes

Loooove this video Greg. Exploring new territory. To be honest, I thought the reactions would be a little more critical of facial hair so I am slightly surprised.
What I found interesting is that Michelle is totally into her husband with his shaved face, and yet she can appreciate facial on many of the subjects. AND that all of the women can appreciate an epic large beard--on the likes, and Kelce.

I think most women prefer well groomed men regardless of length. Keep it groomed and hair style and length matter as well. Keep it groomed men manscape and groom yourselves.I did it today at a red light. Grabbed the electric shaver and did the neck between the collar and the beard line all while waiting for the light to change. It ain't rocket science or digging ditches guys.

No disrespect but your wife is smoking hot - different hair style from what I've seen before. You're a good looking guy with an awesome beard and great hair but still punching above your weight ; ) I'm 58 and spur of the moment decided to grow a beard for the 1st time to see what it looks like. After 32 days it's looking pretty strong, grey/white with some dark patches that may look cool when it grows out a bit more, bit like yours with a bit of luck : )
I think this data is in line with other videos I've seen... women prefer that "executive" look beard. When I'm keeping that style, I trim weekly with a 5. Unfortunately, my wife prefers a goatee. We're Gen Xer's so I suspect that preference is a carryover from the grunge era. I don't like the look, and its a pain to maintain. I'd rather shave or keep a real beard. Or even a mustache but that gets vetoed. She's right on that one, it doesn't look good on me.

Seems like women across all age groups prefer shorter beards/5 o’clock shadow looks on most men.
If you’re growing out facial hair to attract women, good news is you hardly need any of the products most beard channels push.
Keep in mind Woman really do chat a lot fo shit lol....if they were face to face talking with these people they are judging their opinions would be a lot different IMO...
Again, some guys might be weaker in that area, but those chin gaps are usually intentional. That is a style out there.

My wife prefers my beard longer. I'm Asian, Portuguese and Hawaiian and my hair is fine but is slightly corse so it can grow long. At the moment my beard is 2 inches long and I'm just letting it grow.
I clean my beard daily and use viking revolution as a comb very good defo reccomend
