    The "4-3" and "3-4" tip was worth watching this video all by itself. I can't play the piano, but I know something about it, but that was helpful. I think this was a very good four minute intro, and the guy is congenial, doesn't waste too much time but doesn't speak so quickly that you lose what he's saying. It was also a pretty good explanation for the basic idea as to why there are black keys -- never quite thought about it, but the format does help the mind understand where on the board you are. I always thought it was a space consideration.
    You won't learn in four minutes, did anyone really expect to? It does help, and it does make you want to learn more -- credit is due for that.

      Thanks for a very interesting article, here are a few more tips on how to play the piano…
      Try practicing about an hour each day, or even half an hour if you can't find time.
      Do more practice whenever you have more time. For example, on weekends you could do more than an hour, like two or 3, or even more. This is very helpful because it pulls you out of the routine of piano playing, and lets you practice more and perfect the pieces you play.

    It's hard not to be bitter seeing this stuff when you've already been playing piano for so long because you wish you knew these little helpful techniques when you first were learning. Obviously, it won't get you all the way, but it's such a helpful beginning for aspiring new students. Good video! I'm happy it wasn't anything like "Master the Piano in 4 Minutes" because that's the stuff that really grinds my gears, primarily because you can never really master the piano. There's just too much to learn, and too many hours of playing. Glad you kept the title true. Keep motivating these new players to practice though, something we will all struggle with. And make sure they remember their theory!

    • @bobthepigbobthepig4758
      @bobthepigbobthepig4758 3 года назад +10

      The major chords are the ones that sound happy and the minor chords are the ones that sound sadder. Example: put your fingers on D, F# and A and you have a major chord and if you just do the same thing with an ordinary F instead you'll have a minor chord. It doesn't work like that for them all but for E and A it also works like that. You kind of just skip a note for a lot of the chords and sometimes if you get really stuck google may be helpful... Hope this helped you at least a tiny bit!!! 😃

    I now have six songs uploaded to my channel.
