I like festool tools, but these videos make out that festool tools will make you a master carpenter, they won’t.

Sanders are excellent, saw they are extremely accurate, very, very lightweight but not so much power, drills are junk don’t buy it I own 2 different kind and Milwaukee is the king. Don’t even think of buying their compressor if you need to nail few boards here and there then just get dewalt battery one, if you are contractor then you need power and festool compressor will not provide it.

My word , this is nauseatingly pretentious .
Festool , like some other German companies rely on prestige and exclusivity as their main marketing tools.
They know that they are creating an image in hopes that craftspeople with money to spare will swallow the hype and join the cult.
Festool makes some Very good equipment but charges a minimum of double of what other top tool companies charge .
But if you are honest , festool is NOT twice as good as their competitors. They do not have twice the accuracy or twice the reliability or twice the functionality.
Sorry but i’m 100% satisfied with my makita belt sander, my bosch hammer drill, my makita slide C saw and on and on. i will probably have these for many many years and when it dies i will buy a new one and still have spent less than if i had purchased a festool.

Yes, you are right. BUT if you are making money out of your tools, then you realize that time is your most precious asset and most Festool tools allow you to save a load of time: either by not having to clean up the dust, reducing sanding time, making better cuts, etc. Also, almost no "things" have a linear relationship regarding feature and price. A 1.5M$ super car will not perform 15x better than a 100k$ car, which does not perform twice faster than a 50k$ car.

@@AlainPilon omfg , cult like deflection . saves you time by faster sanding , BETTER CUTS ??. 😂😂😂😂😂 Let's see , we line up a dewalt , bosch glide saw and a festool and make identical wide cross cuts . Amazingly they all are perfect right angles, so which perfect right angle is BETTER than the other two ?
I live in germany , the home of festool . My friends and family members work for the Honda House corporation and Nur Holz Rombach . these are block and CLT house builders . The Honka guys use mostly dewalt and the
Nur holz guys use a bit of festool . i asked them about which one they prefer and they said both are excellent , but the only reason they would by festool is because of the great warranty NOt because they are better .
Yes, , i'm being an ass with my sarcasm but your argument/s are rubbish and you know it , i know it and you know that i know it .
Everything you have said smacks of mental and emotional investment in festool . In my fifty years of house building , i buy the best tool in any category from ant company . i have no allegiance to any company and their hype .
My argument is based on the FACt that festool is overpriced and that extra money does NOT show up in the ways that you allude .
Also don't forget that there has been a lot of motor failure with festool slide compound saws and never one reported failure of the 12" dewalt or bosch glide saw , so , BETTER ? Pleeease.
i'm done . Enjoy your festool.

Sirios Star i dont have the kapex so i cant comment. I do have the tracksw and tried a few before i bought mine. I got the best results with the festool and the fact that i can use the track on my router rigth away is super useful. Regarding sanding, thr only sandres which come close to the fedtool are the mirka and they have serious quality control issues so they sre hit and miss. My domino paid for itself in 3 jobs. Since all tools are connected to a dust collector, i dont waste team to clean. At 100$/h, if i dont have to clean it mean i can charge less to the client or do more work in a single day. Have you tried the carvex? It is the only jigsaw that can be used for precision work, the strobe light is awesome and with the specialized imsert every cut is clean. And it is also the omly jigsaw i mnow that has decent dust extraction. While i have a lot of festool stuff, all my cordless tools are dewalt, i just always purchase what is the best for my specific case and it so happen to be festool for a few of them. But if you are a weekend warrior hobbyist, they are probably too expensive to be justified.

absolutely no way festool is twice as anything as the competition. Personal opinion- as a system it works extremely well, I also find using the tools brings a high level of user satisfaction. Are they needed? No. Can better tools, no only festool bring higher level of day to day satisfaction? I’d argue yes

Hey heres a few merits: depleat your bank account, show off to your fellow carpenters in the local dog inn and your tools automatically break down every year so you have to buy the latest model, all for your convienience.
    Buy red, don't buy snot.

@@kellym3610 No, there have been many Festool tear downs, poor quality engineering relative to tools far cheaper like Milwaukee, AvE has done some.
