Fattah, koshari, feseekh, falafel, medames, fteer maltoot, kabab, mahshi, ducks filled with grits (فريك) and many many we inherited it from our ancestors the old egyptians and each one has meaning in egyptian language. Gebtana book is talking about all these delicious recipes 😍🇪🇬🇪🇬
IAM an Egyptian that lives in Egypt and you must try meshabek which is a dough that is fried and soked in honey and when I say honey I mean alot it is found best in damitta
I am from Egypt ❤️, but I was raised in Scandinavia, my mother legit makes everything if not more than on this list. ( oh yeah and I legit die out of laughter when you say the names of the food )
I live in America and I love Egypt. one of my friends online lives in Egypt and they helped me find out about Falafel, which I tried and absolutely loved. I now want to try Hawawshi, and maybe I'll try the foods you mention in this video some other day.
The story of koshary being introduced to egypt by indians turned out to be a myth, koshary was an ancient egyptian dish originally made of lentils, chickpeas, onions and tomato sauce, and then rice and pasta were introduced in different eras
Like most international foods, I love Egyptian food! An Egyptian restaurant is close to me and I am really enjoying it. Yesterday, I tried their chicken shawarma with kosari. Before that, I tried an awesome beef and okra stew. This place is literally a hole in the wall gem, the best kind!
Most of these foods I know about. I am an Armenian and I know most of these dishes. They are Al most the same. I love the desert. We don't put the cream inside, but I sure would love to taste is. I'm a meat lover and the first dish is one of my favorites, again, it's similar but different, There is nothing better than a dish with lamb cooked all day till it falls off the bone.. I am wanting to try everything except for the vegatarian dishes. That fish looks fantastic
The traveler and Orientalist "Richard Burton", the evangelist of origin, famous, famous, famous and famous in the year (1853 AD) a crazy adventure and claimed a fair and a city and a city, and he participated in this project. And of course, Egypt was taken through Suez to reach the Hijaz The important thing is that he documented his journey in the book "Pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina" in 1855 CE And he tells about the period in Egypt. "And when the sun rose, the people of Suez ate their breakfast, which in the summer consisted of a pie. In the winter, the breakfast regiment, which is a dish of (koshari): lentils, rice, ghee, and onion slices cooked over a low heat or pickled lemon. And this is before the British occupation of Egypt
If you want to imagine how Egyptian food is delicious? Our great ancestors insisted to take Egyptian food with them to the grave. They put it over heaven's food 😯
You didnt mention stuffed vegetables, we call them "محشي" it translates to "stuffed" you basicly take raw rice with some greens and stuff some peppers or grape leaves or cabbage, and cook them in tomato sauce until the rice is done, Its my favourite dish, you should've included it, also you misspelled alot of the food names, fattah is spelled "fa t-tah", hawashi is spelled "hha waw she".
Yes. your so right. Love middle eastern food. Most of this is new to me or prepared different than in other counties. I'm looking up Egyptian food in Pittsburgh right now. I'll be watching for the rockenest falafel sandwich in your aria.
@@RockstarEater We have a wealth of middle eastern but it narrows to two when looking Egyptian. The Isis sounds promising with two brothers and mom in the kitchen. Except for the pigeon and the lamb shank they had 8 of your top 10. Got to try the ful medames, koshary masri, the samboussa sounds good, they had an okra or pea tagine and how could I pass on a fava bean falafel.
Nothing with tomatoes can be considered traditional outside of Latin America. Tomatoes, corn, Chiles, beans, vanilla, sugar cane, chocolate, peppers, maybe even tabaco all came from the Americas. Mostly Mexico.
fat-tah haw-waw-shi fool midam-mes in koshari , the indian dish khitchiri is rice and lentil porrage , kunafa is originally from the Levant , it has many recipies good job
that was lentils by itself only. Rice was brought by the muslims after the seventh century. pasta was introduced by the italian minority during 19th century.
Kunafa is Syrian/Jordanian/Palestinian not Egyptian, Fattah is Sudanese, Macaroni Bechamel is Italian, Tameyah and Ful are pretty common in Middle eastern countries they share a lot of culture.

Do Egyptians make a version of tabouli? I make it all the time with different spices. I'm curious what their version would b like 🤔
It’s called “Salata Khadra” and it tastes better than tabouli imho.

what do u mean “in koshari the indian dish”?? koshari originated from ancient egypt
They say the British indian army brought it with them during the world war and the egyprians added the pasta and sauce
@@MohamedHassan-mf5xr lol no, Koshari has been around since the pharaohs and cleopatra, world war didn’t exist during ancient egypt times

it was a great video, but your introduction is too long.
by the way Israel is not part of middle east they occupy Palestine so it is an occupation and the food they eat is originally Palestinian
Compared to Persian food the Egyptian food is too simple and not as beautiful in presentation. Not much variety either
so you think, people can find egyptian restaurants, but cannot know what to order?
that is why you thought you should make this unnecesary video?
Kunafa/Küfene is Turkish dessert stop making misleading videos
