    Nice job, but marking and center punching multiple times for the same hole is a waste of time. why not use the previous holes as the template for the next holes. Just clamp them together and drill them all at once. Or, start with just a center drill (like a #30) if you like and drill all of them at once. Then being them up to size as needed.

    The video is interesting but what I liked the most is that you use the male thread for machine and you are using it manually this is very wise.

    You have a drill press and that's quite evident. However:
    - why don't you use the chuck of the drill to get perfect vertical taps;
    - why didn't you chuck the nutted bolt, spin it, and bring down the hexagons with the flap disc that way; and,
    - why do you drill through three (eventually-stacked) layers as three distinct operations (often a pilot followed by the finishing bit then, sometimes, a tap), where doing all layers at once (if only for the pilot) guarantees perfect registration?
    And what's with the misleading thumbnail?

    Very impressive working ideas, I worked with both barbed and razor wire fences in Johannesburg, nasty evil stuff is razor wire, it being made from spring steel, with the barbs designed to seek out flesh and clothing.. Many workers have scars to show for their efforts, this chap turns out some very useful designs. Thank you

    Hello! Thanks for this video! I loved ALL you've builded here!! About your metal bender, I liked it a lot. But if you make a copy with ALL the 3 axis being all movable side ways and be fixed by WINGNUTS to be more easy to adjust, you get more possibilities with this tool. i know it a little more fragile, but you know how to contour this if you'll ever do this. Now a question, please! What dril bits brands do you use to make this?? Thanks!! Please keep us posted!!

    AT 2:55 are you bending steel or aluminum?

  • @cmerwinpsu
    @cmerwinpsu 4 года назад

    You’d really benefit from adding a straightedge / fence guide along the back side so you could ensure accurate 90 degree square / true right angled bends... as well as a simple angle ref. Template to give you a visual for your preferred/desired angle of bend, if you wanted to create a equilateral or isosceles triangular box etc. (Possibly add a simple adjustable stopper so you’d get consistency of every bend to your desired angle... 😉👌 But, I definitely commend your efforts for being resourceful and “Apalachee engineering” 👍
    I mean that as a compliment, not condescendingly fyi... 🙂

    Why is it that majority of these ‘trick’ videos have the worst choices for background music...? I mean, it’s like the opposite of what I think of when fabricating or machining... this music makes me think I’m in a trending millennial beach party video... lol 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You should start each clip with a shot image of the completed project so it makes the video easier to follow... just saying from a viewer perspective you don’t have any talking throughout the video nothing to connect audio with visual, The videos are a little bit lengthy and hard to keep track and lose interest quicker
