I’m 48 and my own family look at me like I’m making this up eventhough I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and they have seen the DaT scan report. It’s really frustrating when people don’t believe you when you can’t help it. 😢

My dad was diagnosed with parkinsons in his early thirties, just before I was born and had to move into a care home when I was 2. Its been so upsetting to see how it affected him, people use to make fun of me for it and now as a 19 year old I'm terrified of having the same fate.
Thank you for raising awareness about the reality of this illness

I was 35 year old, 20 year ago, when doctor told me that I had parkinson deasease. At the begening i fealt like you , uncontroled mouvment...
2 years ago , I had the surgery ( DBS ) Deep Brain Surgury. And I feel a lot better now, i would say that I feel around 80% beter than itwas before, especialy in my condition (ON,OFF) NOW IT IS CONSTANTE AND REGULAR. At the beginning it is long before they find the medecin (cocktail) for you. They have to try different pills , the quantity, etc. I wish you a lots of nice things , as your baby, to help you, day by day, to cross over it, COURAGE, stay stronge.

I have had the pleasure in meeting Shamsa in person and I concur with everything she has said in these videos I was diagnosed at 47 so a lot older than she was but like her I don't fit the stereotypical mold of the public's perception of a Parkinsons suffer that does not make us frauds it makes us unique.

I found your videos incredibly inspirational and warming. My boyfriend has early onset Parkinson's and he is 31 now. He has had it since 2010. He is progressing through the medication stages for treatment but it is strain for both of us. Adapting, learning to live with it, seeking treatments that improve his quality of life. If you have any tips and advice for living with Parkinson's as a young woman and treatments that have helped you I would be so appreciative. It is very hard being young with a condition that is associated with old people. Please keep making your videos with your inspiring attitude to life with Parkinson's it is so uplifting to feel we are not on our own with this. Thanks, Lizzie

I have been noticing some twitching and tremors in my hands and legs for about a year. And I went to a neurologist two weeks ago and when I asked her if I have pd she told me that I dont after doing some tests.
I still think that I have juvanile pd that is undiagnosed.( I'm 17).
