Saw a quite a few bring it up on Part 1 and now on Part 2, but basically Parts 2 and 3 were recorded dang near back to back, but I didn't expect people to be upset it isn't on Ultra compared to High in the settings so Episode 4 and onwards will reflect this. Also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do not be so worried about my experience with the game. I know this is a lot of you all's favorite game and you want me to love it as much as you and that's perfectly normal and OKAY! But just know that its also okay if i do things different and even if I don't 100% the game because that's not what this playthrough is about. For those that are new, these LPs are here to chronicle my first experience with a game, so I can "relive it for the first time again" years later. I promise you I will do the game justice by my own right, I'm sorry in advance if it isn't how you wanted me to play through the game, but I do ask you respect my fun and let me fall in love with the game my own way ❤❤
That’s one thing I can’t stand about watching someone new play. Especially live. The whole chat telling people to do this and that. Like just let them play. You’re not supposed to know all these extra secrets your first play through anyways
I find it so crazy that you discovered Saint Denis second episode over a trapper. I had to search for the trapper on Google without spoiling myself on the maps town locations. Yes, there is one near the location of that bear, lol!
As a seasoned Rdr2 player, it never gets old watching new players starting their journey. I like your playing style. To maintain your cores the best, stack up on big game meats and learn to season them to benefit your health or dead eye. And yeah, Red Dead Online is a different story :)
Have you heard of MojaveD? He's a 72 year old gamer and he recently finished RDR 2 and after that he finished RDR 1. You should check him out he's fun to watch.
Bro take your time with the game, make sure to explore areas for stranger missions, treasure maps and other bits. I know you may feel a need to get through every story mission one after the other, but most RDR2 fans are here to watch you unlock all the wonders that made us fall in love with the game. Also when you access your map you may wanna open the landmark list to help find the nearest trappers, post offices, fences etc. I believe on PS4 it was the square button, but obviously on other platforms it’ll be different. Good luck on the rest of this journey and keep up the great work!
I love that you're finally playing this game! Don't forget to interact with npc's. By holding L2 you'll have a couple of options on how to interact with them. You can combine them to get some hilarious conversations
22:19 the ammo types in the game each do something different, and all are always helpful to use Split Point (can be crafted at any point without needing anything but bullets): Can increase accuracy. High Velocity (can be bought): Increases range, and even goes through people for collateral kills. Express (can be bought): Increases damage
You don’t actually have to lasso horses in RDR2-just calm them long enough to get in range and either pat and break them if they’re wild, or just lead them by the reins. This game is crazy with the micromanagement
Sorry for commenting so much, it's just refreshing watching someone play this game that is actually good at these types of games. Yeah, the crime gets investigated first. And if they don't know who you are, that is good. Just play this game like it is real life. This game will blow your mind by the end of playing it. There is so much realism, so much story, so much game itself. You just begun. And this game has a lot of easter eggs. I don't want to ruin any of the game. Here is a tip, don't read after this if you don't want any tip. But this doesn't really spoil the game, it is more of a one thing people forget when I watch people play this game. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . DONT READ!!! 1. Everybody you encounter, if you do something good for them, they will reward you in the game then or in the future. Sometimes it just falls in your lap and sometimes you have to search for it.
The witcher 3, mass effect trilogy, skyrim, and now red dead 2 these r my all time top games. The characters the writing just the whole game is incredible. Love your streams
One of my favourite parts of RDR2 was hunting and doing all the hunting challenges, legendary animals etc. I think hunt is the best way to make money in a RDR game. It was also super fun getting all the pelts and stuff for getting unique clothing from the trapper and camp upgrades.
I imagine GTA 6 will be the same but there will be so much more NPC's in GTA 6 so i'm curious to see how that will work. I wonder if you can start a big brawl just by antagonizing a group of people at the beach or in a club.
The lake near the bear hunt, O’Creagh Run, isn’t a random name. John O’Creagh played the O.G. Uncle from RDR1. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly early in the production of RDR2. You can actually still hear him as Uncle singing; the spoken parts are played by James Anthony McBride. As homage, the lake is named after O’Creagh. Also, Trappers can be found on the map by a animal footprint symbol. As for Armadillo, you can visit it LATER! If you try to go there or Blackwater now, you will be deleted in short order!
This is a misconception in the community. John O'Creagh (Cray) was NOT the OG voice for uncle in RDR1. The OG voice was Spider Madison. John Cray was the first voice for Uncle in RDR2, but he passed away and was replaced by James Mcbride. You can look this up for context. But I've seen a lot of people spreading this misinformation.
Once you unlock the fence you'll be able to sell things like the legendary bear claw and you can also craft stuff there. The fence is nice for selling things like gold bars and platinum pocket watches. Also, when you discover the burned down town there is a gold bar behind the counter in a lock box in one of the buildings. It's actually near camp. It's called Limpany. Just head west from Horseshoe Overlook camp and follow the road near the river down and it'll be on your left. Just look for a burned down town. You won't miss it. The gold bar is worth $500 big ones and you can sell it to the fence once you unlock the fence. Enjoy the game! It's my fav game of all time.
For future reference, if something happens to your Legendary animal pelt, it'll automatically be sent to the Trapper. The only thing you miss out on is the money you get from selling it to said Trapper.
It makes so much fun to watch your Play-Through! I love it, that you're so enthusiastic and mostly interested in the story. And the next piece of this package of compliments: You think tactical! I really enjoy it.
The horse realism in rdr2 is off the charts. Theyre hyperly detailed in how they behave and what they physically do, but its definitely a part of the reason your horse wont teleport You can have them recalled from any stable if your horse is too far away
Damn, never seen anyone discover St. Denis in episode 2 lol. Usually the city is a huge reveal to players in later parts of the game, cause so far they only seen tiny little towns. Try not to look up things and avoid comments, people have tendency to accidently spoil this amazing game. As for losing legendary pelts, don't worry about that, once u killed a legendary animal you can still buy back those pelts from the trapper in case you lost them somewhere in the world.
Legendary pelts automatically goes to trapper if you lose it. Fence is where you take the tokens you keep from Legendary animal. He makes trinkets and amulets from those parts, they help your game stats
Love the playthrough! keep it slow, and enjoy the pace in Episode 2. I really enjoyed hunting, upgrading satchels from pearson, and improving the camp. As you get later into the game those things get less important and you have other goals to focus on. Nice job on the bear - first of many legendary animals to start your journey - while other animals need to be killed in the right way to get a perfect pelt, the legendary you can use anything to take them down(again that map was one of my favorite tasks to do throughout the playthrough)!
Hey Ace, I got 4 tips for you wich means i have to type allot and i mean No Spam with this, or Spoilers as the tips do not let you know anything of the main story for this game so please don’t delete this comment, am only helping, scroll down here. 1. You need to see the Ledger, wich is next to the contribution box at Dutch's tent and when you got enough money buy the tools for Pierson. With that purchased you can let Pierson create bigger satchels. 2. There are several satchels, but the one you want is the Legendary Satchel, but before you can get that one, you have to get the once before. Every satchel needs 3 star skins from animals. You can aim or use the binoculars to study animals etc. Use the Compendium to see what rival or bow and ammo you need to get a clean kill. 3. This tip is not a cheat but a workaround. When you go to Piersons table, choose craft then choose satchels. You will see several ones and the last is the best with most space. However you don't want to go everytime to piersons table just to see what 3 star animal you need to shoot. So to avoid that use your phone. Make a picture of every satchels 3 star animals you need, that way you do not waiste time going everytime to pierson's table and you go faster through this. 4. Cool need trick, i played both times with controler and or mouse and keyboard. When you have your gun drawn and want to holster it, press 2x tap tap on the holster button, and you shoot see something cool. 👍🏽😇. If you delete my comment though ok, am just trying to help and i think your doing a great job of how you play.
RDO can be an absolute grind to start out, and it is pretty dead. But man, it's fun not just with a crew but I have fun running solo too. Doing hunting, fishing, bounties, and just running around doing random chill shit without the stress of story mode, Pinkertons and gangs on your back, Dutch being annoying etc. I like it. And when griefers or trolls try killing you, it's fun having that random shootout element with real people/non-NPCs too
the legendary bear claw can be taken to the fence its right next to the trapper in saint denis. it cannot be sold its a crafting item and it is used to make a talisman that boosts your stats
If I remember right the first time I played I did something similar and lost one of the legendary animal hides. I think you just lose the money you would have made from it, but I believe if you ever find the trapper you can still purchase the item you needed the hide for.
Great job. Play the game the way YOU want; I admire people who put themselves out there for all of us to watch and comment and critique, very easy when you’ve played it, often multiple times. I always think about the first time people played this without the benefit of Google and hints and such. Personally I think it taints the experience. I’ve played the game three times and still see things I’ve never seen. The only time I ever offer hints is what I refer to as “saloon talk” where I mention general knowledge you might hear playing poker or hanging at the bar. Rock on and thanks for sharing
There’s a campfire behind the wagon where the ladies bed down where you can craft, early on I suggest you make split point ammo for more damage until you can scrounge or buy high velocity or express ammo
@@KingdomAce you can do it at anytime, recipe pamphlets have to be looked at, to learn them, then you can craft them at the campfire, but you will need the ingredients
R* stopped updating RDO a long time ago. But it still has a lot of cool story missions (I remember the moonshine business missions were fun) and legendary bounties, almost everything can be done solo or with friends. RDO also takes place before RDR2 story so you might find some familiar faces both from RDR2 and 1. But I strongly recommend waiting until you finish Story Mode.
You asked about Online, if it's worth playing with friends. Short answer: Yes Long answer: They abandoned updating it despite frustratingly high potential, but it's still a reason to free roam, congregate, grind, and enjoy this beautiful world beyond the story. 🎉
You're gonna love every moment of this game im sure, it's that good! And I'll enjoy watching. Also if you are ever wondering about mods, there's tons! I would suggest a TAA mod to fix the quite awful blurry antialiasing in the background. With the ultra settings + the TAA mod this was an amazing experience for me!
I got quite addicted to online didn't play much with ppl but it was very fun but it is a grindy game there's still ppl on there plenty good or bad and the mini games are fun I loved getting cool outfits and pecking up my bounty hunter stat and unlocking more stuff.
Tip: When using Eagle Eye, if u move slow or crouch and move the timer on the bottom left of your screen will go slower, but if u run, it will go out faster
in the camp, at the top right you see 3 small squares, with a symbol in them. If it's red, the camp needs stuff bad, yellow about to run out and green the camp is good.
I appreciate you! I saw some say it was a bit much last episode so this one is a bit more toned down, trying to find a sweet spot that most will enjoy 🙏🏽
There aren't checkpoints like the campfires or safehouses in RDR. You can save pretty much anytime, except of course when you're in the middle of a mission or cutscene, and the clock advance 6 hours when you do like in RDR. BTW, one trick to get your horse back near you if you get separated is to save and then reload the game. Or now that you have the stables unlocked, if there's one nearby just go in and you can retrieve it.
Turn your Texture quality up to ultra for the next video. It shouldn’t affect your performance much at all but it’ll make the game look 100x better. They scale down a lot of important visuals if you have texture set to anything less than ultra
@@KingdomAce I just found out recently cause I got this for steam deck and was having trouble reading some of the handwritten text and the horses fur and rock textures would bug out in some cutscenes
Saint Denis is pronounced "San Deni", also, the city is based on the French quarter of New Orleans. Most of the map is based off of the south of the US, Louisiana especially.
Digging the playthrough so far! Quality of life info (although I think youre playing on mouse and keyboard?) Don't press forward or hold forward while having your horse run; it will auto dodge most stuff.
Dunno how far you are now, but I saw your comment about focusing on the story, which is understandable, but when you explore you will find things that will increase your health, stamina & dead eye to make them last longer, also might want to look into finding some herbs, (eagle eye helps) its free stuff to feed your horse, and cooking with certain ones will restore your core of each (different herbs for different cores) and certain meats with those herbs will give you golden cores. I'm in no way saying try to 100% but maybe do a little investigating here & there. Also hunting to upgrade your sachel will allow you to carry more items, and get more $ since you're able to carry more items before selling. If you lose a legendary pelt, you won't get the $ for it, but it does go to trapper for the clothing items...so it's not a terrible worry, if you dont care about the $. If you're going for a high honor game I really suggest looking for the treasure maps (strangers in area may have one) they lead to ... well...money. also, the fence will be able to make things with the legendary parts the trapper doesn't take, which can help you in the game. Some things take some type of jewelry, or something else to make if so make sure you don't sell/donate those items, some are pretty rare and/or you'll only get the one! Just enjoy the game, but I promise having longer lasting dead eye, heath etc, and a larger sachel will help you enjoy the game :)
Cooked food is the best in the game. Cooked venison from deer is pretty much the best general food you can eat. Then you have all the seasoned variants. It's worth looking through the cooking menu.
@@MrBlaktoe season big game meat is the best, big game is from any large predator, seasoned with mint, oregano and thyme makes your cores dark yellow, the best variant of core colour, takes ages to drop back down to white
Hope you're enjoying the game. I LOVED IT so much I bought it again after trading it in. A TRUE MASTERPIECE!! I really hope they make a 3rd game. Can't wait for GTA 6 but let's be honest. We NEEDED a game like this one.
yessssssssssssssss im hyped for the whole series keeep going man also i have a question, will you ever try to play older games again ? like u did with god of war or not?
Old games in general? Sure, I plan to play Dragon Age Origins when Me3 is done. Not sure if that counts but im also open for recommendations for the future!
@@KingdomAce i meant like games that are tricky to get like old ps3/xbox exculisve games like for an example the Infamous series sadly it's only avaialble on emulators and stuff. and probably breaks and crashes a lot but i'm just seeing if you'd be intrested in those kinds of things nothing much
1:22:25 bro u riding clearly above speed limit on your horse in the middle of town lmao thats why people are reacting that way this game is extra realistic
Red dead online is worth it if you have people to play with. There are major griefers sadly but hopefully when GTA 6 comes out they will get distracted with it. There are so much fun moments that ive had on it, with running off waterfalls, running into walls and such. Its fun until you get to higher levels (200) and unlock everything.
I personally LOVE red dead online, but yeah it is a lil dead. I've met some cool people though like there's usually about 15 people in a server at a time. There are sometimes hackers on PC though, they usually do stuff around valentine. Not usually malicious stuff just annoying or funny, so you shouldnt have too much of a problem with em.
It's so funny watching new players doing things in stealth. It's not that kind of a game, Arthur is not incompetent like john, Arthur goes guns blazing, he doesn't need stealth
Listen man, do all the side quests, attend the camp parties, talk to the gang members and do their side missions while it’s still available, you’ll regret it if you don’t 😔
You're actually doing great, I don't get what all these people are on about I really enjoyed watching your playthrough, you are enthusiastic about it and have been making great choices so far...I hope these people don't get too much on your nerves cuz they have for me Annoying bunch

online si better with friends. its terribly lonely and time consuming to play alone. duetting is fine. but even more fun with a group larger than 2.
@KingdomAce just FYI if you lose your legendary animal pelt it automatically turns itself in to the trapper.
Will say be ready for a long play through, my first full play through took over 100 hours
You do you bro. Way too many people in this world that want to tell people how to do there things
I find it so crazy that you discovered Saint Denis second episode over a trapper. I had to search for the trapper on Google without spoiling myself on the maps town locations. Yes, there is one near the location of that bear, lol!
When you kill the bear it gives you the marker on your map for the closest one

i believe i do this in episode 3
@ as someone who loves to cook and has cut himself multiple times, the sound of Arthur making slits in the bullets gives me the willies 😄
@@KingdomAce you can do it at anytime, recipe pamphlets have to be looked at, to learn them, then you can craft them at the campfire, but you will need the ingredients
The Lemoyne Taiders are based on Quantrill’s Raiders , pro Confederate bushwackers. You will meet them again down the road.
Never been here so early
I'm so happy you're playing this game! You're super relaxing to listen to. I hope you enjoy the ride, it's a masterpiece :)
You're very charismatic, man. Keep going, this game is a masterpiece
I like red dead online, good when you've got a group of friends in your posse
R* stopped updating RDO a long time ago. But it still has a lot of cool story missions (I remember the moonshine business missions were fun) and legendary bounties, almost everything can be done solo or with friends. RDO also takes place before RDR2 story so you might find some familiar faces both from RDR2 and 1. But I strongly recommend waiting until you finish Story Mode.
NIce to see you closing in on 50k.
i know im super excited for it! thanks so much for the support!
You asked about Online, if it's worth playing with friends.
Short answer: Yes
Long answer: They abandoned updating it despite frustratingly high potential, but it's still a reason to free roam, congregate, grind, and enjoy this beautiful world beyond the story.
RDR online was great in the beginning but Rockstar abandoned long time ago. Its dead now, but for a beginner there are stuff to do
You got to Saint Denis in the second playtrough...Damn boah you're good
Episode 2 !! Lets goo !
You'll be able to use the Legendary Animal parts at a Fence, and you can also sell stolen goods there. The story will take you to a Fence a bit later.
LETS GOOO, so hyped for this episode
I got quite addicted to online didn't play much with ppl but it was very fun but it is a grindy game there's still ppl on there plenty good or bad and the mini games are fun I loved getting cool outfits and pecking up my bounty hunter stat and unlocking more stuff.
Tip: When using Eagle Eye, if u move slow or crouch and move the timer on the bottom left of your screen will go slower, but if u run, it will go out faster
Nice shootin on the bear!
Tip: even thought u lost your legandary pelt only legendary pelt it doesn't matter because you can just craft the outfit even though u lost it
Keep those cores up and youll have a great time in this game. It also adds to the immersion cause youre drinkin and smokin all the time.
HAHAHA YESSSSS FINALLY, just like with Witcher 3, cant wait for a new episode
Eagle eye is useful for when you’re looting too!
love these
in the camp, at the top right you see 3 small squares, with a symbol in them. If it's red, the camp needs stuff bad, yellow about to run out and green the camp is good.
White is if its good, not green
@@aidankrapf428 I haven't played in awhile. He would still get the jif of it.
Hang onto your gun oil, you will need it to clean your weapons after extensive use. The gunsmith will clean them up too.
Editing style going crazy
I appreciate you! I saw some say it was a bit much last episode so this one is a bit more toned down, trying to find a sweet spot that most will enjoy 🙏🏽
Horse stats will upgrade as you bond with them
I am 46 years old and have never met an adult who didn't know how to play poker lol.
more of an Uno or Triple triad guy
There aren't checkpoints like the campfires or safehouses in RDR. You can save pretty much anytime, except of course when you're in the middle of a mission or cutscene, and the clock advance 6 hours when you do like in RDR. BTW, one trick to get your horse back near you if you get separated is to save and then reload the game. Or now that you have the stables unlocked, if there's one nearby just go in and you can retrieve it.
Always loots your enemies before continue with the mission! xD otherwise sometimes you won’t be able to get all the goods.
Turn your Texture quality up to ultra for the next video. It shouldn’t affect your performance much at all but it’ll make the game look 100x better. They scale down a lot of important visuals if you have texture set to anything less than ultra
Loving the series so far, not complaining about it just wanna help you have a better experience
The next episode will look like this too since I already recorded it, but will be on Ultra from Episode 4 onwards 🫡
Make sure you’re donating to camp, but especially that you upgrade your camp so you can unlock fast travel.
Not a spoiler but rdr2 map is a whole lot bigger then rdr1s map
You only have seen 60% of the game
Cooked food is the best in the game. Cooked venison from deer is pretty much the best general food you can eat. Then you have all the seasoned variants. It's worth looking through the cooking menu.
@@MrBlaktoe season big game meat is the best, big game is from any large predator, seasoned with mint, oregano and thyme makes your cores dark yellow, the best variant of core colour, takes ages to drop back down to white
Dude you can interact with everyone also Sadie. Every single NPC is someone you can interact with.
red dead online is very fun with friends. if you want it to be fun by yourself you will have to grind a lot
Hope you're enjoying the game. I LOVED IT so much I bought it again after trading it in. A TRUE MASTERPIECE!! I really hope they make a 3rd game. Can't wait for GTA 6 but let's be honest. We NEEDED a game like this one.
Perfect Saturday video
Any guns you drop.or your hat. Will always be on your horse
yessssssssssssssss im hyped for the whole series keeep going man also i have a question, will you ever try to play older games again ? like u did with god of war or not?
Old games in general? Sure, I plan to play Dragon Age Origins when Me3 is done. Not sure if that counts but im also open for recommendations for the future!
@@KingdomAce i meant like games that are tricky to get like old ps3/xbox exculisve games like for an example the Infamous series sadly it's only avaialble on emulators and stuff. and probably breaks and crashes a lot but i'm just seeing if you'd be intrested in those kinds of things nothing much
1:22:25 bro u riding clearly above speed limit on your horse in the middle of town lmao thats why people are reacting that way
this game is extra realistic
Red dead online is worth it if you have people to play with. There are major griefers sadly but hopefully when GTA 6 comes out they will get distracted with it. There are so much fun moments that ive had on it, with running off waterfalls, running into walls and such. Its fun until you get to higher levels (200) and unlock everything.
RDR2 Is one of the GOAT games, enjoy!
I strongly recommend The Last Of Us if you haven’t already played it. Rdr2 and tlou1 are 2 of the best stories in gaming history
whats the upload schedule on these looking like lmao? this my sleep aid
U can talk to anyone u want in the whole game aslong as u hold Lt or whatever it is to toggle on someone on pc
Red Dead Redemption 2 All Day EveryDay Never Ending Times Infinity No Take Backs
Remember to do the white missions first. They disappear forever after a while.👍
thanks for the tip!!
Listen man, do all the side quests, attend the camp parties, talk to the gang members and do their side missions while it’s still available, you’ll regret it if you don’t 😔
Buy the newspapers they have interesting stuff
You're actually doing great, I don't get what all these people are on about
I really enjoyed watching your playthrough, you are enthusiastic about it and have been making great choices so far...I hope these people don't get too much on your nerves cuz they have for me
Annoying bunch
