We're FINALLY HERE! After the adventure that was RDR1, I was super excited to start the game that got most into this series! I recorded this before Christmas, so Patreon already has Episodes 2 & 3, if you're interested in early access, thats the best way to do so! www.patreon.com/kingdomace
I'd argue closer to 70% of the games beauty is outside of the main story...and the main story is brilliant so that's a testament to the game as a whole....imo 🤠👊
Not rushing through the story is the best way to play. Majority of RUclipsrs try to rush through to get episodes out. Take your time and enjoy the game 😊
That first big fight at Colm’s hideout, while you were talking with Dutch about taking the lead there was dialogue with the O’Driscoll crew, and one was the guy you let go. If you had killed him it would be different conversation with a different guy. Just the start of the incredible things in this game.
Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this yet, but in the settings you can choose to have the character’s name displayed in the subtitles. Super helpful for remembering characters’ names since there’s so many named characters
Love how RDR and RDR2 are 8 years apart none of these guys besides Bill and Javier were even thought of but Ace is still like “I never heard of these guys” 😂
Well I did forget Javier's first name, but I did remember Bill. I was mostly referring to Micah and Arthur I didn't remember being brought up. Same for Charles 😅
@@KingdomAce your good brother 😂I get it, trust me I wish these character were thought of in 2010 cause it would’ve been one the greatest storytelling/foreshadowing strats ever have fun playing a goat of a game
I don't mind if you make episodes where you're not progressing the game at all. Just watching you do stuff within the world of this game is going to be great. This is going to be a series I'm not going to be able to get enough of.
Subscribed just for the red dead content alone its rare to see an OG rdr1 vetran play this second game instead of starting with rdr2... very nice to see it for the first time again through your eyes how I saw it after the first... remember to always do the right thing and be a good person as arthur as you fame level changes the story and high fame gives you the best experience
This is gonna be a special game, trust me. I played RDR1 first, but they did a fantastic job at keeping the attention of new and old players. I'll keep tabs on this series. Enjoy it, bro
Love that you started playing red dead 2 hoping the channel would get more love with your experience in rdr1 also i recommend if the comments haven't mentioned yet check arthur journal to know what happened in blackwater and the journal updates every time you sleep or after missions its tells Arthur's thoughts and feelings towards missions and side content with also cute and cool drawings
One of my favorite things about watching these play-now videos is how often players make a comment and Arthur makes the same comment a second later. At 26.59 KA said "Javier are you sure?" Just before Arthur says "Are you sure about this?" It happens all the time. The game devs did a fantastic job merging us players with Arthur. Seriously, all the flowers.
Not watched your playthrough of RDR, I’ll watch in between your RDR2 videos, as someone who knows John’s story I’m convinced you’ll do this playthrough justice, I’m reiterating what a few people have already said, the best part of the game is outside of the story, once you’re in chapter 2 everything is open, enjoy
Best thing in the world to watch at the same time between playing this game is Hell on wheels. That show makes you wanna play the game and the game makes you wanna watch the show. My favorite of each type. Bro the opening of this game and when you descend the mountain is truly incredible. Walking into this massive environment that you're gonna get to scour. I hope they do a third somehow. One tip I'd use is when you're searching houses and stuff tap the change view button so you're in first person. It's easy to miss stuff otherwise
aah its the small things, the lighting from the sun through the trees, grass blowing in the wind, the animals and the sounds they make. the world and the nature in this game hits on different level of immersion
@@pilovwithketchup it's the cabin that (spoilers) Micah and Dutch hideout in during the epilogue of the game where John finds them on his mission to kill Micah. Have you played the game?
@49:25 Jordan that’s one of the things I love hearing from those who play through games like these. 👍 That’s one of the reasons I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos. Like me, you like to think deeply on what’s happening and you’ve shown you have some great ideas. Anybody can post game playthrough videos but it’s soooo much more fun watching someone who genuinely appreciates the minutiae of the lore and to see where their imagination goes.
I always say first play through IMO is for the story. You’re still trying to figure things out and you get distracted by the many side missions. Not saying don’t do the side missions, but a lot of RDR2 fans like to just spend time hunting, fishing, riding around and just enjoying the open world. I like that too, but was glad I waited until the second time around to do my exploration once I got the story out of the way
Finally someone new doing a RDR2 play through!!! I'm in it until the end! 🔥 please play this at your own pace bro and PLEASE do the side missions! It's a big map and there's things in it that will be part of the later story to make you understand 🙏🏽 Enjoy it as much as you can! I live for the 1+ hour RDR2 videos
This game is gorgeous. I know others have said it already, but take your time. Don’t feel like you have to rush into story missions, and don’t sleep on the challenges. Just explore, have fun, and this will be one of the best gaming experiences you’ve ever had.
This is one of my favourite game so far - Mass effect and RDR. And you played BOTh of them! god its so damn awesome! Glad you joined it. I hope you like it as much as I do
I loved playing as John, one of my all time favorites protagonists. Wasn’t sure how I felt about playing as someone else at first. Then I poured over a hundred hours into this game. Arthur is the best video game character ever created!

don't rush through it, you'll be doing it an injustice. i've been playing it for 6 months and i actually don't wanna finish it (had the finish spoiled for me though).
Hi Ace, I am a new subscriber from The Netherlands. When you play rdr2 for the next stream can you please turn on names of speakers on the subtitles?. I played this game 2x its my favorite game.
I’ve noticed that most games shotguns have insanely short range especially call of duty games. But in this game the sawed off shotgun has way more range than it would in real life, they got all long barrel shotguns pretty spot on though
So excited to follow along, new subscriber here! Just some general tips - Honor does matter overall, but not that much throughout most of the game - so play it how you want without worry about doing the right thing all the time - you are an outlaw. Take your time, interactions with your gang members, conversations at camp really help develop the bond with your gang members. You can update the settings to show the name of who is speaking, which helps. White missions with your gang members will disappear, or may only be available certain times of day, so prioritize those over the yellow missions which progress the main story and may make advance being able to do those white gang missions.
Howdy Ace 🫡! Been ninja following your RDR1 playthru but just subbed and commenting for 1st time 👊🏽. Also glad you played in Release Order as well, it’ll all make sense once you see end credits roll for RDR2. [TIP] 1:02:16 Not sure if you’re aware but Rockstar included Colorblind Settings where there’s l alternate options to suit you. Pause Game > Settings > Display > Colorblind Mode > choose 1 of 3 different options to suit your vision. Up to you my man. Looking forward to seeing you get immersed in all this amazing masterpiece has to offer 😊. Okay, I’ll catch ya later then 👋🏽✌🏽.
Now that you've got your foot in chapter 2. Don't be in a rush with the story. Explore. Open the map. Familiarise yourself with the shops and what you can do there. Help around camp. Most of all. Enjoy. You're on the start of a journey that will change your gaming experience forever
Enjoying the playthrough so far, and I've subbed up! :-) One thing you talked about is the music being immersive. This is something that isn't really talked about too much but what I've noticed (I'm a music education major/nerd) is the general beat of the music during action scenes tends to line up tempo-wise to the beats of the horses' hooves when they're running. I found it definitely immersed me more in the game. Not sure they did it intentionally, but it was effective. Had to laugh at you ignoring Charles and going off to try and kill that bear. And dropping poor Lenny lmao. Looking forward to watching the rest of the playthrough!
- Me after finishing my first Red Dead Redemption 2 playthroughand paying for multiple therapy sessions - sees a RUclipsr playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time - instantly clicks on the video and subscribes with a bell❤
Ah wow I just stumbled upon this in my feed and remember you doing the Witcher and all. Good stuff man. I can’t wait to see you dive into the world of red dead redemption 2. Go in slow and take everything in. Honestly don’t do the main missions. Just go an explore the world but do side quests to gain more experiences and it can have good / negative affect as you move forward. Go down the right way in this and just enjoy the ride man. Don’t rush. Just love and support ya man all way through! Let’s go!!!!
27:10 you most likely wouldnt slip but instead fall through the snow and then get submerged by it. I live in a snowy area and its happened to me before shit is scary
Wow i cant beleive you played rdr1 before rdr2, your gonna have a totally unique experience and honestly much better experience having played that game first
Simply put, this is one of my favourite games ever and one of the best open world games. Its portrayal of the west is brutal and honest. You will have a blast for sure!
You earned some Holiday's rest but damn, did i miss your regular uploads! I'm excited for ME 3's return but I'll make sure to accompany and support this series too, especially after following RDR 1 so closely!
I think you mentioned you played the first hour or so couple years ago? Can't wait for you to see the rest of the game, it's quite different. My only recomendation for now - inside your camp do all the side missions (white icons) before you do story missions (yellow icons). Cause most of them will quickly disapear if you progress the story too far.
You'll find that in this game the only place a pistol is useful is in a building. Shootouts that happen even just across a trail are usually crap with a pistol. It can be done, sure, but you use a lot more Deadeye to get it done than if you had a repeater. Repeater is your bread & butter here and should be equipped most of the time.
Man , I’m so jealous of you for experiencing this game for the first time . I swear if I had a button that would erase The Witcher 3 and Rdr2 from my mind I would press it right now 😩

Welcome to RDR2. The MASTERPIECE of Games. Slow play and enjoy. Take in as much Conversation as You can. We are HERE for the ride. Even us 6-7 playthrough ones.
Make sure you do any white quests (side quests) before doing the yellow main quests. The white ones can and will disappear. Enjoy and take things slow!
really happy thai is finally out def can’t wait too see you play the last of us two my fav game glad to hear your a fan boy of the first also wouldn’t mind if you play the new remastered for that one
I will tell you confidently that this game will forever change you. When i finished this game i remember leaving my console and just walking around my house aimlessly. I wish i could play the game again without knowing anything about the storyline. Edit: also fun fact it took 2,200 days to film the dialouge….thats 6 years!!😳
What I would do to be able to play this for the first time again. You haven't even touched the surface of this masterpiece. Can't wait to see how you follow this journey. Be careful about spoilers because there are a lot of people out here that like to ruin things for people. This game has impacted so many people. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Last of us 2 is a great game! You should definitely play it. Everyone complaining about it are simply babies incapable of handling complex emotions. Would love to see you tackle it.
I am just subcribing to watch this playthrough. People are saying play the game slow, but I don't know if you actually need to do that. You pretty much explore everywhere as you progress through the story, and as long as you do all the side quest before the main story, you won't miss much. So, I would say still explore a little. And try to do everything you can before doing the main story. Here are two tips while playing. 1. Don't leave your horse and anything else that you might encounter behind, or you could be tracking a long way to retreive it. 2. Treat the game like real life. You will see by the time you are done with this game how grand it actually is. Nothing even comes close to this game at capturing reality. Meaning if you eat a lot you get fatter and vice versa. If you encounter someone they remember you and the things you have done.
My guy aggro'd the bear and survived. Respect. Your head through the wall approach I learned to love in Mass Effect is actually great for content but unfortunately this game often won't tolerate these non-intended ways of completing missions; the most egregious are the button mashing and quick-time/scripted events. As far as I knew, that encounter with the bear is practically impossible to survive unless you dead eye mag dump the repeater on the bear's head. At this early point of the game, bears are meant to be unbeatable and will absolutely mess you up once you're int heir melee range.

Dutch in the early game really makes me emotional for some reason, after knowing how things go in RDR1
It is tragic seeing the solid leader he used to be. Mf was actually concerned about his homies and shit back in the day.

I'm so glad you're doing Red Dead Redemption 2! That makes me happy.👍😁
I am so excited to finally see you play this masterpiece!
Definitely take your time and explore/do side missions
that wheel bug u got is so unlucky lmao i dont think i remember ever getting bugs in this game
Cant wait for LENNAAEEEYYYY. Definitely took some inspo from TW3
It's funny because I recorded that episode for Patreon yesterday and I was crying from laughter 😭🐐
Howdy, Ace! I love this game! 🤠
best story game of all time and best game protagonist of all time
The one time I don't get a notification is when this banger of a video drops
also a quick tip, i noticed you put everything on high settings, your textures only look good on ultra because on high it looks very bad
