The 80's - early 90's, "cassette futurism" look of this game really does something for me. Brings me back to distant memories of childhood, being pretty much an infant in the early 90's.

Been on my radar for over a year. I really like the late 70s/ early 80s vibe of it and the synth music by Robyn just works with the aesthetics to give off a retro vibe. Overall looks mighty good

@@Cipher_8 It's been in a closed beta test on Steam, they pivoted the gameplay model to be a pvpve extraction shooter rather than pve and it plays horribly.
I don't believe one second of what i just seen. They are all crooks and liars until they deliver on launch day, not 6-12 months after launch either. Day one or its a lie.
This was probably the most interesting NEW thing shown last night imo. Not counting things we already knew about or CG only trailers. I'm actually looking forward to playing this with some friends. Looks fun already

@@Martin-rh6bn Halo is just COD with a different skin to me. Most fps onlines are imo. Horribly simplified I know but I don't find a lot of fun in frag fest type multiplayer games. Deathblow being I don't like fps so...
you know what I think when i watch this trailer? I think to myself, "boy oh boy, I can't wait to play this as an extraction shooter!" that was sarcasm by the way
I can't believe the landscapes are inspired by my island, Tenerife, in the Canary Islands! Some maps look like real places here, and they even recreated an endemic plant unique to the island (the red flower stalks in 1:16, 1:20 and 1:24). Check photos of Las Cañadas del Teide.
I don't know why they just couldn't release the game with the PvPvE as a separate game mode, I'm not even going to touch this now as the new announcement just killed my interest
I agree, seems like it's going to be hard to incorporate these co op "boss" battles into an extraction shooter so it seems like all that content will never be playable from the trailer. I could be wrong but I do.t see how it would work. Sad. 😢
Vibes are immaculate. Reminds me of the first time seeing destiny, the wonders and curiosity of what could be. This, could be better though. Great reveal Embark!
You can tell this is the talent behind DICE. I get Battlefront and even some BF1 vibes from this. The particle effects, smoke and explosions look similar to what we first saw in BF1 back in 2016 IMO which were super impressive back then and still are.
I’m really liking the visual look and style of this game. Gives me Anthem vibes mixed with a more standard dusty apocalypse but still colorful in a realistic way. All they’re saying for gameplay is that it’ll be a free to play coop oriented which sounds great. Looks like you’ll work your way through the world and build to the boss fights? Sounds real fun, I’ll be keeping an eye on this for sure.
On their website/blogs they say that they really like the idea of players creating stuff in their worlds, like minecraft so i hope we get to see some crafting/sandbox etc in it as well
I'm more of an FPS fan, but I'm genuinely excited for this. All the talent from my favourite franchise went into this studio. They now have more creative freedom instead of being squeezed by EA. And this game is new gen only. There are reasons to be hyped!

So I heard this was going to be a Co-op game until some guys up top pressured the devs to make this a pvpve extraction shooter …. Why would you do that? This game looks so good and it’s going to be a pvpve? Sorry, but as amazing as this looks, I’m not getting this. Anyone can enjoy it if they want, but I’m very disappointed we lost a more interesting game for a generic shooter with pretty graphics thats going to be a PvPvE and not just big co-op game.
THIS is the DICE we used to know and the only DICE we want I'm so happy that they have so much smart people also from dice back in their team. Especially Magnus Nordan who was responsible for the technical stability of the frostbite engine. He started working there by the launch of Battlefield 4. As many of you may remember Battlefield 4 released miserably, maybe because he hasn't worked on it :D Thanks to him Battlefield 1 launched way smoother because him being Technical Director. I have high hopes we may get a polished game to release guys.
One thing came to my mind watching this. Why they chose such a music? One would expect something epic, using real orchester instruments ... there is a reason why they chose 80's synthwave style of music. This game will be a ride and it will most likely beat the vibes of Cyberpunk. Purely judging based on the looks of the world where these alien machines land. I get Tron Legacy vibes here.

I hope this is a massive co-op experience. Would be fun watching a bunch of players work together to take down a common enemy vs fighting each other.

My hype for this quickly diminished when they announced that they switches it from an open world co op shooter to yet another extraction shooter.
