In this two-part series, you'll learn two ways to make realistic grass in Cinema 4D.
In Part 1, you'll use the Grow Grass function, which is for static grass and is suitable for many architecture renders.
In Part 2, you'll use the Hair system to create dynamic grass, which can blow in the wind and interact with objects that trample on or roll through the grass.
In this first video, you'll use Cinema 4D's Grow Grass tag, and explore the options that allow you to change the look of the grass, including its colour, length, width and how crinkled it is.
Next, you'll look at ways of managing the dispersal of grass on an object.
Finally, you'll examine how to change the colour of the grass using some form of texture.
Cinema 4D is 3D animation software that is used for all kinds of artwork. It is regarded as one of the easiest to use professional 3D applications that can handle any 3D task.
