This is among the many videos that I watched about geometry nodes, but the first video that I followed step by step to create my first city. Very helpful to my understanding of geometry nodes. Thank you so much!!!
This is only the second Blender tutorial I will describe as "Priceless and invaluable. Thank you so much for making this and I can see you have spent a lot of time on it. It's literally saved me months of work going down the path I was and I stopped doing it my way after I found your video, and I started again. Again, THANK YOU! You absolutely earned my subscription>
Of all the tutorials on building a city in Blender, this was definitely the most helpful. Most of the issues I was having were answered in this. Great job!
Thank you for talking slowly so all people can easily follow. I highly appreciate the tutorial and liked, and I have subscribed and will definitely share. It is a pity that most people who make tutorials on almost anything on RUclips, talk so fast as if they are taking part in a high speed talking competition. I do not understand why they they are in a big hurry to end the tutorial so quickly.
Hello! The whole geometry intersects, maybe there is some kind of node that either aligns or puts everything clearly on points that do not overlap? Thanks!
Can you make a video on how to create procedural buildings? You've covered plug-ins for procedural buildings packs, but if you wanted to custom-create your own with parameters that you can adjust, how would you do it? A tutorial would be great.
Thanks mate! We just used 3 area lights around the mesh. I did actually copy the same lights from this scene, so you can see the setup here if you want ruclips.net/video/RledqE8GOLI/видео.html
Very well explained. Although I don't understand English very well, the video was very helpful. Thanks. PS: This is certainly not only suitable for buildings. Maybe for things like a flower meadow. You simply choose different flowers and grasses instead of buildings. If the base does not necessarily have to be flat, I guess it can also be used for the seabed.
i became lost when the screen transitioned into a fade and those buildings magically appeared on screen. i dont know which file to download so i downloaded all of them. when i go to append, the file doesnt show.
@@architecturetopicsalso if you can please tell me which file it needs to be downloaded as? Fbx, USDZ, gltf, or GLB? I downloaded them all and when I try to import it to blender its like it doesn’t exist in the file explorer
It won't let me append anything because the downloaded files do not appear, even after unzipping them (I tried both unzipping and not unzipping) as well as trying every file that was available on the website. Nothing; none of it shows up anywhere. I then tried importing the buildings as a separate file, copying them and pasting them onto the project file, and it only allowed me to add them as an object info node, and then nothing happened. Wtf! Either the files are no longer working or something has been left out of the video.
which version of blender you are using because i am using blender 2.93 version and in this blender point instance node dont have instance option only have two geometry options one is right corner and one is left corner please help me
I'm baffled... Please, anybody knows why with Blender 4.10 when I drag the Building Collection I have an exclamation point saying "collection contains current object" and nothing happens? Thank you!
you're a little too vague on that issue, I'm having trouble opening up the downloaded file for the buildings in a separate blender folder, and copy and pasting those into the geometry node blender file to replace the little cubes. Can you explain more on this please and thank you.@@architecturetopics
Once you have the buildings on separate file you can 1- Open the buildings' file and select them then hit Ctrl C to copy the buildings, then go back to the main file you working on, make a new collection, hit Ctrl V to paste the buildings in the new collection, you continue after that from 6:05 2- Use append without opening the buildings' file, so just open the file menu, choose append, then select the buildings' file and append the mesh as a collection, then continue from the same time stamp. @@StormBlessedxo
Is this an automated voice or your own? Geez, what's the point of talking if we all can sound this polished. No more accents in your language of choice!
Half the buttons you're showing don't exist. For example, the menu at 1:18 is not there. You didn't even tell us which button you clicked to make it appear. I assume it was the right mouse button. Using other menus as a workaround to waste time trying to figure out the swathes of instructions you bumblingly omitted, the option still didn't exist. Worse than useless. This video should be deleted.
The menu you mentioned is the Add menu ( Shift A) and if you're missing any command or buttons just make sure you're running on blender 3.0 and above since blender have a major update in that version with geo-nodes. Have a nice day
I understand this is a beginner video, but how do you not know using shift A opens up the add menu, it's literally the first thing you learn about blender, adding meshes. If you're struggling with that alone you need to find a much more beginner friendly video about keyboard shortcuts for blender.

This video is truly amazing and provides immense value to anyone who watches it
Awesome, this will be my first build with Geometry Nodes thanks to your tuition 👏😁
WHAT CAN I SAY TO YOU MAN YOU ARE JUST AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG
seriously the most helpful blender city making video. Everything thought out peice by peice and I just started using blender thank you.
You're one of the best Blender channels!
Thanks buddy! really appreciate it.

I usually find geonodes a headache to follow, but this was nice and clear! Thanks!

Why not, I will try to do something like that soon.
3:06 getting an warning "Geometry cannot be retrieved from the modifier object" and the cubes arent being replaced
This is a great tutorial for the city generation and the node usage.
Glad it helps!
I like that texture very much 🙂 white on horizontal parts.. great tutorial " thumbs up "
Thanks bud! appreciate it
I love how you went over what we did at the end of the tutorial, that help reinforced the concepts, thank you for this tutorial!!
Appreciate the tutorial bro, gunna make some big things w/ this
Great, go wild!
Thanks a bunch! Great tutorial and I had no issues following along.
Glad it helped!
Beautiful work! Thank you for this :)
What a tutorial..everything is described, thankyou sir...
13:00 How to draw a road map
When I press Reset Children the buildings form a line instead of stacking upon each other in the same spot. Why is that?
thanks for tutorial!
Thank. You. Jeez this was helpful
I think I get it, but whenever I import the buildings, they are randomnized in another places away from the plane. Is there any reason why?O.o
Very nice, but how do i apply all these changes to be shown, for example in an stl file
1:17 how do i pull up this small menu. whenever i right click it only gives me like 5 options to work with
It's the add menu, you can read the name at top, and you can open it from the geometry node top bar or by hitting Shift A
@ thank u so much. Subscribed king
@@architecturetopicsbtw dont listen to the jerk offs saying they would rather hear a real voice. Real voices put people to sleep. Ong
Love the tutorial! Im a bit of a beginner, but how did you do the lighting

how export that? i try exported and no appears
very nice thanks for sharing dear 💙💙
Thanks mate!
Amazing ❤
When I change the random value to integer like you did at 10:32 and then connect to rotation, it doesn't work, and the node path turns red
you need to add math node
Im new on blender, and this video really help me. Thanks😊

can that cityscape be imported into ue5?
nice, and please show On-Screen Keyboard in the future videos
Will do next time, but since this was a geo-node video. I don't think the add-on will do much.
useful, 10x for sharing
Thanks for u😍🌹
with what i need to download it?
useful thanks
Glad it helps!
Very nice
how to you import the building file into blender?
12:43 how did you separate those into 4 planes?
from the first plane, add 2 cuts then hit I to inset then. hit P to separate selection then P again to separate by loose parts.
You have to press "i" twice to inset the second time

How do I make the buildings the same size as the mesh plane ?
Easy to follow and nice end result thanks!!!:)
Glad you like it mate.

You can see the version at the bottom right corner 3.4.1, and yes geometry nodes changed a bit in blender 3.0 so try to update if possible.
I added other buildings but they are all over the place. why is that?
Dude that's inposible but cool city
Hi,after I download the 3d buildings they appear to be rather imposible to add to my asset collection.
agreed, does anybody have a solution for this? I can't find an easy way to import the building template downloaded from the link.
I'm baffled... Please, anybody knows why with Blender 4.10 when I drag the Building Collection I have an exclamation point saying "collection contains current object" and nothing happens? Thank you!
Self-answering: because Plane mesh was inside that collection... Sorry... [>8-o]
I never finish your videos because of the robot voice, sorry. I think most people would prefer a real voce, even if your ENglsh has a heavy accent.
Real voices put people to sleep. Something rigid is easy to follow. Plus typing a script keeps people from ranting
How do I get the buildings

I am going to use ur torturial in my new upcoming video this week.😼
pls just hire a human to read the script it would be so much better
The video is very good and well explained, but the AI voice is really nagging. maybe find another better one!
Hi how make this in blender?
ruclips.net/video/rco8VLJ3nho/видео.html
Use the ocean modifier to mimic the video in the link. it's easy to work with.
You can look online for water simulations and there're many.
Next time without an AI voice unless you're Indian.
