- Synopsis: The Wuxia Martial Arts Action movie "Eighteen Subduing Dragon Palms" is about a story in Qing Dynasty. Two magistrates of the remote Linjiang County were successively killed by a python, which caused great panic among the public. The imperial guard So Qi'er and Tie Qiaosan were ordered to investigate the python murders in Linjiang county. When they came to Linjiang, they found that the worship of the Python God was popular, and the people were in dire straits. To be honest... i have always thought 18 dragon subduing palms (the original 28 dragon subduing palms) is more like a grappling/wrestling skill set that puts the opponent into submission. and there are 28 positions to get your opponent to tap out but got simplified to 18 positions. Hence the name dragon subduing palms. if it is strong enough to subdue a dragon, it can subdue anyone...
