I was thinking I might whip up a couple eggs and cover the beef with some seasoned flour and sear them up once with a crusty outside b4 putting in the crock?
Tried this recipe, and not only is it FANTASTIC but it makes the kitchen smell sooo good! I will never fry a cube steak again. These are so tender you can cut them with a fork, and in fact one actually fell apart coming out of the crockpot. 👍👍👍 I served it w/ mashed potatoes and corn, and put the gravy over the mashed potatoes as well as the steaks and WOW what a meal!!
This is the best cube steak that I have ever eaten. This is comfort food at its best. I'm not kidding. , this is the bomb.!!!! Thank you so much for this recipe. & God bless you. 💙💚💛🧡❤
I think the people who are saying the meat is dry are probably cooking for too long, all slow cookers are made differently and some cook hotter than others. Mine is the crockpot brand and I’ve noticed I can usually get away with 1-2 hrs less than most people will call for in the recipe. You just have to learn your slow cooker. I’m trying this recipe next week it looks delicious!
Also I believe the newer crockpots are hotter. My old (over 30 years) cooks on low 8 hours, my new fancy one seems to heat to boiling. I think this is for food “safety “ reasons, but I never had a problem leaving food in the old one for 8 hours on low, including chicken.
I love golden mushroom soup! I season and brown thick boneless pork chops and put in crockpot with the soup, a half can of water and cook on low for 7 hours. It goes great with mashed potatoes or buttered No Yolks noodles!
Good to see a recipe using Golden Mushroom soup. My Mother had some really tasty weekly recipes to choose from growing up. She would mix up sliced potatoes, browned sliced ham, onions and a gravy made from Golden Mushroom soup and other types of pork seasonings to taste, mixed together and put it in the 350’ oven for about an hour and 15 min., it was so good with a big green salad on the side. Mom is an amazing cook. She understands how to mix seasonings with different veggies and meats. It’s a gift because I’ve had to work at it from day one. Thanks for your recipe too. Looks yummy! 😊

I just purchased a new Instant Pot and I’m going to convert this slow cooker recipe to the Instant Pot. Should be quick and delicious. Thanks for the recipe! 😊
I used pork cube steaks a lot as well. I would just change the golden mushroom soup to either cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup along with dried onion soup mix. Everything else would be as you do. Nice change. I love both the beef and pork cube steaks.
I have made this a few times, and once with cream of mushroom rather than the golden mushroom. It is really good, but I think the golden mushroom soup is an even better gravy.
[For the hearing impaired people (like me) ...] Here is the recipe, since OP didn't provide ... 2 lbs. of Cube steak, seasoned by SPG seasoning Brown Gravy -- low sodium 1 white onion chopped up 1 cup of mushrooms, chopped 2 cans of golden mushroom soup 1 can of French Onion soup Put in crockpot for 7 to 8 hours.
I just made this and it's delicious I did sear the meat on both sides, (persoal preference)mine does not have all of this liquid it's a beautiful gravy, I added no water at all. Thanks for sharing this is comfort food at it's finest.
I use Lipton Onion soup, pepper , seasoning salt , red and green bellpeppers. Sometimes I do brown or red meatloaf. I'll probably try this but without mustard & minced garlic. ❤
No you do not. The French Onion Soup adds plenty of liquid and if you like the gravy a little thicker I think you could probably add just a half can of the French Onion
I love cube steak but 7 to 8 hours is too much cooking time , I make mine in 45 minutes with onions and gravy , this recipe is from a RUclipsr named Nildas kitchen .
Cube steak 2lbs Salt Pepper Grandulated Garlic powder gravy mix 1 pack low sodium Mushrooms Onions 2 cans golden mushroom soup 1 can french oinon soup Cook on low in crock pot 8 hrs
I'm gonna do this but I'm gonna sear my cube steaks first
Yes! It’s the ONLY way I do my meat first.

👀 gonna have to steal your idea for mash and corn with this recipe
I was thinking the same thing with mashed potatoes and fresh sweet corn on the cob. 🌽
Served over white rice!
“Some mushrooms and onions- how much? I dunno, I just threw some in there.”
That’s absolutely how I cook too 😅I like your style

There's too much liquid for it to be dry so I don't know what they doing wrong..
I feel like this would be good to serve over some rice, thanks for the idea
Mashed potatoes would be much healthier.
Rice 🍚 is healthy too if cooked the rice the day before
@rubiahermosa01 No, it's not! It's full of carbs and arsenic.
@@Me-mn4nwpotato’s are full or carbs and are more carbs per serving than rice. As for arsenic, never heard that rice contains arsenic.
Or noodles. Add sour cream to the gravy after it's done and you have beef Stroganoff
You had me with the golden mushroom! I love that stuff and make so many things with it. Gonna have to try this one!

@kathrynsinclare84. I do that but with pork chops instead of ham. Yummy 🤤😋
I love easy recipes like this. Used to eat fried cube steak with homemade gravy all the time as a kid. Def. giving this one a try.
Is that the kind of meat that u use to make country fried steaks with the gravy on them I was just wondering what kind of meat they make that with
@claudettedawson8661 yeah this is what they make that with and steak fingers.
Never heard of or ever seen a golden mushroom soup before. Interesting. I'll give this one a try.
I have, but have never used it. This was a great idea to finally buy and use it.
It's wonderful! I use it pretty much with all my meats in croc pot. Full of flavor
Making this today! Thanks for the recipe ❤️
I've made this twice already and will do so again on Sunday. It smells so good and tastes even better.
I haven’t had cubed steak in years. This looks delicious. 😋
Looks good 😊, thanks for sharing.

Is there any advantage to sear the steaks in a pan before putting them in the crockpot?
Yes, searing will always add flavor. But cubed steak doesn't sear very well like a normal steak
I didn't. I made it exactly as shown and the steaks are amazing!
Looks good, going to try it! Thank You for the recipe. 😊
I followed the recipe exactly as is but I did sweet onions instead
Deliciousness 😋
Looks good
I was wondering about cube steak in a CP. I haven't had cube steak in years, mainly bcuz I can't cook it like Mom. I'll be trying this soon. 👌
It used to be the poor man’s steak but it’s expensive now. I love it but can’t afford it. 😢
@@CheapsKate77 Yes I remember it being cheap as a kid. Just like chicken wings used to be dirt cheap.
@TeranIcer exactly. Grew up poor with siblings, but we were able to get cubed steak and ate it no less than once a month.
Nobody can cook like momma cry😢
I can't wait to make this. 😋
Looks good, never thought to use the crockpot😊

I'd toss in some red and green bell peppers, too. Like, big chunks. Looks great.

Is this like Salisbury steak? It looks good, I never had cube steak before!
Is there a link for recipe in print?

Man that looks good fr
"My doctor is on me about sodium." Proceeds to add 3 cans of soup loaded with sodium. 😹
I always buy low sodium soup
You can make this healthy by using different mixing ingredients. The soup is all chemicals, MSG, sodium.
I use Lipton Onion soup, pepper , seasoning salt , red and green bellpeppers. Sometimes I do brown or red meatloaf. I'll probably try this but without mustard & minced garlic. ❤
I wonder if you put the two cans of water in from the soup
no
No you do not. The French Onion Soup adds plenty of liquid and if you like the gravy a little thicker I think you could probably add just a half can of the French Onion
It actually looks kinda good
It turned out pretty good
Oooo I’m gonna make this with a side of mash
If the doc is on you about sodium eat more potatoes (anything rich in potassium really)
i use the same ingredients making my "beef cubes" stew meat... for beef tips ...instead of cube steak and serve w/mashed potatoes
I love cube steak but 7 to 8 hours is too much cooking time , I make mine in 45 minutes with onions and gravy , this recipe is from a RUclipsr named Nildas kitchen .
I know how to make cube steak and gravy very well
I would sear them first, then add to the crockpot. 👀😛😛
Nope, they needed to be breaded and cast ironed fried before slow cooked
Thats.not what he said.
I’m elderly and I need Easy, that’s why I use a crockpot. I know this will be delicious!
That's how I do mine too but I'm ok with this one occasionally 😊
Cube steak 2lbs
Salt
Pepper
Grandulated Garlic powder
gravy mix 1 pack low sodium
Mushrooms
Onions
2 cans golden mushroom soup
1 can french oinon soup
Cook on low in crock pot 8 hrs
A wonderful recipe low Sodium is the Best and Onions Love Mushrooms
The three tins of Campbell’s soup are definitely not low sodium 😂
I bet that would be awesome over mashed potatoes with some cornbread muffins
yes!
Brown and serve rolls.... yummy to my tummy
I just threw it all together and turned the croc on. Can hardly wait the full 8hrs
