@@Tugofwar22 semiconductors covers a lot of range and what we are setting up in India is also there in China. It's the smallest chips which are monopolized by Taiwan and we currently don't have any plans about setting up plants for them.

Neither USA or china will give the permission of technology to India.
The future will be like this.
India will have a huge market for electronics and a huge manufacturer of electronics.
But the chips for those electronics will come from USA and china.
Since Taiwan and korea will not exist is future.
Thus we will remain dependent on two of our adversaries for imports. This will make us a weak country.
Only solution is becoming atmanirvar. Develop the technology to manufacture chips. Build a chip printing euv machine in India itself. It might take 30 years of intense research.

I don't understand why industries facing challenges from government in terms of getting an approval,and other thing is that we why we are focusing on testing and packing only what about manufacturing because manufacturing is the base of electronic chips and whst about critical semiconductor metals still we are depending upon china , mobile if we want to full fledged development than we should also focus on processing of critical minerals also
absolutely my thoughts, this video created unnecessary hype while in actual there's not any start of manufacturing yet. Although it will eventually happen but we are still very far.
