@@sharpyshores yes, so true! and so few people see it! nobody talks about the legend sakaguchi but everyone goes crazy when nomura gets named. nomura is totally overrated, nomura wasted years on FF15 and could not even finish the game (which was finished by tabata), nomura took over 10 years to create kingdomhearts3 and it was mediocre (and even hardcore fans were disappointed by it) and he has a co-director doing all the work on FF7Remake for him while he developed KH3 (nomura even admitted "what a big help" his co-director was, thats why he finally was also named director)
i ask you: who needs 2 directors for one game? if you sail on a boat, you only name a second captain if the first captain proves to be useless and incompetent and thats what nomura is...

According to Mega64 during a podcast or something, when shooting this, they mentioned that they previously worked with
Ken Kutaragi and Sakaguchi heard that and asked to see what video he was in, and after he watched it, he was committed to work even harder for this video!! Hahahahahaa!

After VII, he is only listed as "executive producer," which implies that he had very limited involvement. It's possible that they only kept the name because of the fame attached to it.

An executive producer is basically a manager. They set and oversee deadlines and manage the budget. Their creative control is very minimal. Sometimes the "executive producer" credit is given when someone had no real involvement at all, such as if they were engaged in developing predecessors of the same series. So, yeah, he can be the "executive producer" and not have anything to do with the game at all besides appearing somewhere on the title screen to make it look good.

Only final fantasy game I played in to some depth as a kid. Got stuck at that tree boss though. Kept using fire spells which dealt high damage, but kept pissing off the tree to totally annihilate my team. Despite not completing it (although I really wanted to, unfortunately I couldn't due to time), definitely a game I had a great amount of fun playing.

They're genuinely funny and respectful (when not in character, of course.) They built an excellent reputation. They can do work-for-hire without being sellouts. Plus they're famous enough for developers and execs to want in on that popularity, so it's a win-win.
It started with little cameos by Cliffy B, GabeN and Kojima. Now they have full roles for Reggie, Sakaguchi, Kutaragi... They built this brick by brick, now they get to revel in it.

FF13 is only bad because of the way gameplay only allows you play one character only in battle. I beat it and it was dissapointing on Xbox 360. But i do think they fixed the gameplay in Lightning Returns which i thought was pretty good

How the fuck do you get these big named developers in your videos?
Good question.
Because the thing is that their videos don't get that many views and they don't have that many followers either compared to other people that are in the millions and do a very similar thing yet no devs there.
They're popular. Since they're popular it's more likely the developers are aware of their work which makes it more likely for them to work together. Plus once you know someone, you know someone, who knows someone, who might know their lawyer/manager/nephew/sister that can propose the idea of them working together.
These big game guys see how serious these guys are about what they do, they don't fuck around and just make videos of them selves screaming at jump scares. Well that's part of it anyway.

BlazeHeatnix - Definitive Dubs Game mechanics were pretty flawed, but there was definitely ambition with trying to create something different. Still, it was the first one in the series to include a more in depth story, with multiple characters coming and going, and having some major characters dying off. Plus the music was pretty bad-ass.
Mr Hironobu Sakaguchi if you read this I'd like to thank you for your final fantasy series. I enjoyed playing them and still think they are better than alot of games today.
