Hes such a great bassist! He has so many sick lines on united abominations and endgame. Wish theyd play songs from them, theyre really high on my megadeth favorites. Also love that he uses the hipshot to quickly change from standard to drop D back to standard for those transitions.
Only just realised such a thing existed! I was wondering what he was doing switching that thing going to the lower tuning. Damn his fingers are on fire for this tune. 🤘🤘
What? Holy moly, this guy is freaking amazing! I mean his skill level is so high, I had no idea, and I seen him perform live with Megadeth like twice. It definitely sounded good but unaware he’s this dame good!
United Abominations certainly contains what I think is the best bass work LoMenzo did for the band.. Sleepwalker and Washinton are excellent examples of what he did on that album.. I got less from his stuff on Endgame.. But Endgame suffers from loudness issues.. Everything is made to loud in the mix and it drowns the rest out so it's harder to make out the details in the performances.. UA was better in that regard. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does on a future album.. I'm hoping to see Washinton or Sleepwalker make a surprise reappearance at a live show in the near future.
@@Chaotist I honestly hear little to no difference in the remasters they could have been more but seem to be more reissue (under new owners) than remasters.
@@massimocivita7288 it's the least thrash/heavy. But I don't listen to need heavy 24/7. I actually appreciate it for what it is. Kudos to Dave to actually try something different.
I love Ellefson, he is the bass player I mostly think of when I think of Megadeth, but James is a better player, and does more interesting basslines. This song is a great example of that. Ironically, all the best basslines from Dave are on Risk. And I'm not a hater of that album, I actually think its quite good if it didn't have the Megadeth label on it. Its not a Megadeth album, but as its own thing, its great. And Jr. had the ability to spread his wings on it, and not just follow the guitar riffs.
I also really don't know why they don't play this tune and I think it is absolutely kickass. Perhaps there are just too many songs now? I'm fairly sure Dave can still sing this. The bass guitar is the hardest part of this song for sure. Hope to hear them play it live again.
Would be cool if Megadeth played this song in their concerts instead of the same old songs over and over
Indeed. Deth is so boring live now.
Killer song.
dave can't sing this one
@@nikolastosic7133this is lower than the stuff he is singing now. He'd be easily able to sing and play this in D tuning.
Megadeth is amazing live, doesn't matter songs they are playing. Dave is a genius
James has stated that he is proud of his performance in Washington Is Next! A badass tune, wish they play it live again, this, 1,320, or Sleepwalker.
they could definently pull out sleepwalker
James fingertips= Fire!!! So much swag and coolness to his playing.🤘🤘🤘

J.Lo really is the coolest, his playing is unreal. I met him and hes a chill fella 🤟
Whata beast. I didn't realize how much he rips it up on this song.
Beautiful video! Fingers on fire! It's cool!😎
High caliber bass player those fingers on fire!!!!!!!
shit hot, it was good of James to do this on a day between shows
I agree it would be cool to hear more live from UA, not to mention Endgame. J-Lo kicks ass
That trick with the detuner is awesome.
Excelente bajista con un gran bajo BB Yamaha 🤘
Man.. we miss this song.
i wish they played that album songs live
Reminds me of Geddy...a little bit..
Thanks for the Video
Nice! Killer song.

Have you heard the 2019 remasters? They're brilliant imo

@@PhantomDeth Oh there is a difference. Maybe you need to upgrade some equipment ;-)
I love it 🤩 thx 👍👍👍
This guy is awesome 😊
Awesome job on a criminally underrated tune 🤘
LoMenzo🤘🏻
Finally played live after 15 years! ruclips.net/video/Wt0ah855gNo/видео.htmlsi=ob_5hqKUQBTJInPd
United Abominations and Risk are personal favourites of mine.
Risk!????!?! LOL! Worst megadeth albun!

I’m with you on UA….love that album
Risk is underrated. The second half is killer. I enjoy hearing from people that are into it instead of the same generic "worst album ever" comments.
@nabiji then you probably love Load and Reload too. I do. Along with Risk and Cryptic Writings
ahhhh james .... nice to see yah doing it again.....
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
What a beast
A very talented person, he plays just like a Megadeth bass
💥💥🔥🔥
Lomenzo is cool!....
Stop by on the way!
I don't mean to underestimate him by comparing them, but seeing his playing style, it made me imagine Cliff playing in Megadeth
they need to play this song at a show instead of repeating the same ass setlist every single fucking night

wtf this is where i purchased my first bass😮
i wanna see jr play this oh wait💀

With pick james pls.
I donT know why megadeth dont perform this in the stage?
Megadeath recently reiterate all the common songs.
It should be stopped

Where was this? Awesome video
Sky Music in Clayton (Melbourne) Australia
Play this song live instead of sweating bullets lol
Looks like some young punk kid jamming on a bass. :D Good work on UA+E.
Definitely Ellefson is the man with the right tone... This bass sounds weak
It’s an instore on store equipment - not sure I’d base it off that
