Were you fishing them on the dead bottom or in the middle of the water?

@@shindukess We were fishing on the bottom. We would try to let it sit right in front of the pylon so the tide wouldn’t take it.

@BuckarooXFishing I tried that a few weeks ago but the tide was always super strong. It's possible I missed the bites because they're not like other fish that run with the bait. I'm guessing you smashed the oysters for bait and chum?

@shindukess the oyster were for chum. We used sand fleas and fiddler crabs for bait. And depending on the tide. It can be real hard to keep your bait in place and detected a bit. My best days fishing out there is when the tide calm and the water is not ripping. If it’s ripping I’m just calling it a day and trying to fish for something else or moving locations.

@@BuckarooXFishing yeah I was trying to get them during dead tide high. Someone else was killing it with fiddlers and he had a 15ft shovel he made from 3 pipes to scrape the pier walls. Oh well I guess I'll have to try next year.
