As a Riot Shield connoisseur, I can attest that Zipline is definitely a viable gadget. Another funny thing you can do is immediately break it with a swing+quick melee, so you can set up bait zips over holes on Seoul or Fortune Stadium to get cheeky wipes. I still prefer Jump Pad as my mobility of option, I always have Goo Grenade equipped if i need horizontal movement that's harder for ennemies to predict
I remember criticising (positively) the riot shield strategy on your original riot shield video but I became more convinced by it. I like the bunny hops you mentioned, nice Combo.
Could you do a Heavy C4 guide, or point me towards a good C4 guide? So, earlier I was watching a video from Appoh from where he interviewed Swako, one of the best Heavy players in the pro circuits, and Swako kept going on and on about how the C4 is top tier and how he thinks every Heavy should be rocking it for its power and versatility. The problem I have is... I can't really find any C4 guides, tips & tricks, etc! Most of the results are 8+ months old, and typically are talking about the old Nuke meta. Swako mentioned things like the old "hide the C4 under a tipped over cashout" trick, a C4 + RPG kill combo, blowing up floors... Surely there more to it than that?
I also watched that interview! Some quick tips: -> You can have 2 C4 deployed at once, and if they’re both deployed the trigger will detonate them both -> Place C4 on the cashout and if it’s on a breakable floor knock it on to that side; falling down a level will cancel the steal -> C4 + 1 Explosive Mine one-shots both medium and light1 as mines and C4 have similar cooldown cycles you can have 2 pairs of C4+mine deployed at once which can guarantee kills if you put them in places the enemy is guaranteed to stand -> C4 can be used with the flamethrower in a similar way to how mines would be used, but it has to be deployed beforehand and you can detonate it with the flame -> The C4 has an “initiation” time before it starts flashing (same as with most explosives) - if it’s blown up before this is finished it will do much less damage That’s about it for the common tips, but it’s such a versatile gadget. The C4+mines combo is more powerful than you might think - mines aren’t super powerful usually but since it’s next to the c4 you can detonate both of them remotely and still do full damage; even if the enemy doesn’t step on the mine they likely won’t notice the C4 if you hide it well If Zin decides to make a video on the C4, I’d be more than happy for him to use these if he sees them - the C4 really doesn’t get enough love especially from casuals!
I've been abusing mines and c4 with MGL since S1, people moving to explo+c4 as I do nothing never stopped making me smile(but this can also kill yourself and your teammates if enemy team activates it by frag or other grenade launcher). MGL and C4 for quick activation is easy for maps with tight buildings like Monaco, put the traps and essentially your cover+killzone as slow moving heavy with 'inaccurate' MGL, around every corner, stairs and doorways, goo gun for funneling and blocking paths is also a synergy, stops upper floor demat and disables sentry
With riot shield, I typically run dematerializer with data reshaper and goo grenade. Demat is great for both getting close and running away, as well as dropping people down floors/stairs when they try running. Data reshaper can remove jump pads so people cant use them to run away, and goo grenade stops them from running in the first place. Will have to try out the zipline, though my concern with it is that they will just take the zipline and just use that to run from me lol. Also goo is great for defending when you're in the open or are just on point
I can't believe you still haven't switched to directional equipping. I know your used to it but it didn't take me any time to get used to the switch at all. About 3 matches and i was used to it already. 😂

I’ve actually already figured out the cl-40 one on my own, but the cl-40 is so trash now that I stopped using it lol. The tracker knives one is actually super interesting and I might give that a try. That’s a pretty huge ttk reduction vs mediums… And that heavy tip is really fascinating. I really love the spear but it’s really tough to use. The cube strat might be a really useful one. I’ll have to try that one out!

Yeah maybe I'm not smart enough but for me C4 isn't that useful

they need to nerf the self damage on this weapon, if enemies get somewhat close you just end up eliminating yourself.
Nice tip on the cl-40 and mines! I’d recommend another method as well which is the pyro canisters so I run data reshaper to have more
