S1:E8 Swimming with sharks & more in Tahiti, Moorea, and Raiatea French Polynesia

In Episode 8, we travel to French Polynesia where our cruise comes to an end. We explore the islands of Raiatea, Tahaa, Moorea, and Tahiti. We also experience some of the best things to see and do in French Polynesia. We dock in Raiatea and take a private excursion with Te Mara Nui taking a small boat to the island of Tahaa where we swim through the coral gardens seeing colorful corals and fish. The it's off to Moorea where we join Moorea Tiki Tours on an epic journey across the north side of the island. We travel by boat to two scenic bays seeing epic scenery and two whales, a mama and her baby. Then we experience three different snorkel spots where we swim with black tip sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, and leopard rays. We then have lunch at beachside picnic tables in the water as stingrays swim beneath and between our feet. After that, we sail to Tahiti where we travel through the city of Papeete on our way to the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort. We enjoy a luxurious stay in an over-the-water bungalow with fantastic scenic views and access to one of the best reefs in Tahiti. At night, we attend a traditional Polynesian show complete with colorful costumes, dancing, chanting and drums. We see two magnificent sunsets before we have to fly home and end of adventure. The Half Fast Travelers are taking back to back cruises starting in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada, and visiting Alaska, Hawaii and Tahiti. We are sailing aboard the Norwegian Cruise Lines Spirit, the line's smallest ship. Fortunately we feel the small ships are sometimes the best choice for this type of cruise. Our Alaska stops include: Ketchikan, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Skagway, and Sitka. Then it's five sea days across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii where we'll be stopping on the Big Island, Oahu, Kauai, and Oahu. Once we reach Oahu we will be staying on the ship for a second cruise that revisits the same islands in Hawaii, but then crosses into the South Pacific to French Polynesia. Once there, the ship stops in Moorea, Raiatea, and Tahiti. When we arrive in Papeete we will have been on the ship for nearly one month. Once ashore we will be staying two nights in an over-the-water bungalow at the Intercontinental hotel in Tahiti before flying home.
